Ready For Hurricane Season?

June begins the Atlantic hurricane season and continues through November 30. Chief Meteorologist for Gulf Coast News Allyson Rae, Acrisure Insurance Client Advisor Joe Thompson and Ellie Vinas of Fireservice will be on hand to present at our Hurricane Preparedness Seminar on Wednesday, June 18 at 1:00 PM in the Barcelona Room. Please plan on attending!

Storm surges, tropical depressions, heavy rainfall, and hurricanes are unfortunate facts of life in Florida. Thankfully, we know when to expect them, and that gives us time to prepare. If evacuation becomes necessary, having a gobag ready can save you precious time.

Go-Bag Tip: Pack a small, lightweight bag with essentials such as a change of clothes, necessary medications, snacks, a phone charger, and important documents. A printed map can also come in handy if GPS service is unavailable.

Stores like Amazon and Sunshine Ace Hardware offer a variety of emergency preparedness supplies. An easy way to build your kit is to pick up one or two extra items each time you shop for groceries. Planning ahead helps you avoid the stress—and empty shelves—when a storm is on the way.

Summer Photo Contest

Show us what you are doing this summer—you don't have to be away! Whether you are staying here or traveling, send in your photos. After returning, the residents will vote in the Fall. Please email photos to darci.kopp@guestservices.com with your name, location, and a short caption.

Stay Safe And Informed: File Of Life, Lifeline Devices And Pest Control

File of Life: Now that season is over, it's a great time to be sure you have a File of Life form at the front desk and your current information is up to date. This program provides EMS with vital medical information that can be lifesaving. Updating this form is essential because residents' medical conditions, medications, and family contact information change frequently. If you need more assistance, please call me.

Lifeline: Get access to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the push of a button. Are you interested in learning more? I have collateral

and $50 off coupons in my office. Having this device on your person has saved lives in this building!

Pest Control: Terminex comes bi-monthly. If you find any pests in your residence, please let me know, and they will treat them.
