Americans are living longer, healthier lives but older adults will need assistance with health care, transportation, and other basics of daily life as they age. 2020

The US population 65 and older is projected to more than double from 46 million to 98 million in the next 4 decades.

Older adults Are lonely Loneliness and isolation are associated with increased physical and mental health problems, including dying younger and experiencing cognitive decline (loss of memory and thinking skills).

We make a difference Our program is rewarding. Our 100+ Senior Peer Counselors help older adults stay connected while learning about healthy aging themselves. 75% of volunteers were very satisfied with the program. Volunteer Senior Peer Counselor 98% of volunteers would refer others to volunteer with the program. I find that I "get" as much as I give. In addition to the delightful relationships I've enjoyed with clients, I really enjoy meeting with other counselors and our facilitator.
