Polio vaccine campaigns happen more frequently in Afghanistan than anywhere else in the world - this is because Afghanistan is only one of two countries that still has wild polio virus circulating. But with so many other issues - like war and poverty - many families are tired of the the polio campaigns. Add to that, the success of the polio program (which means that there are very few cases), many families do not feel polio eradication is priority. Formative research showed that Afghans from all regions took great pride in their culture and nationality. This video is part of a campaign used those findings to reframe Afghanistan from one of the last countries to "kick out polio" to the country that could end polio for the world.
