Aquatech China 2014 Aquatech China is the largest international water trade show in China for the fields of process, drinking and waste water. The exhibition serves as the meeting place for all market leaders within the Asian water sector. Exhibitors will connect with Chinese and international purchasers during Aquatech China 2014 from 25 to 27 June in Shanghai.

The 7th edition will be even more comprehensive, and larger in space with more exhibitors and visitors in comparison to the last edition.

Six editions of Aquatech China Aquatech China has grown rapidly over the last 6 years. The show has increased in terms of space, and number of exhibitors and visitors by almost 50% annually. A good mix of national and international water industry leaders have helped the exhibition become the truly comprehensive platform of choice for the exciting Chinese water sector.

In 2013, Aquatech China hosted: ■ Over 38,500 visitors from more than 70 countries visited the show floor and attended conferences ■ 70,000 m² of show space facilitated over 1150 exhibitors from around 30 countries For the 7th edition of Aquatech China in 2014, the show space will grow to 75,000 m² with over 1,400 exhibitors taking part thus remaining the largest international water show in China.

The Chinese water market With almost 20% of the world’s population but only 5% of the world’s renewable freshwater supplies, it is obvious why the Chinese government is so focused on water treatment issues. The Ministry of Water Resources noted that more than 400 of the 663 cities in China struggle with water shortages.

On one hand, water quality remains an issue, while on the other, demand is projected to keep growing. Water represents a commercial opportunity as China moves to address these twin challenges.
