For many years, I have been engaged in a business focused on financing medical research—an experience that afforded me a deep understanding of Mexico’s healthcare sector, along with the persistent challenges in delivering high-quality medical care to its population.

When I met Wolfgang Aulitzky, I also came to fully understand the essence and importance of the program he created: the Open Medical Institute (OMI). From the outset, I recognized OMI as a singular initiative: it offers advanced training to physicians who are already established in their home countries, thus preventing brain drain. Participants attend intensive week-long seminars in Salzburg, committing to return home and apply their newly acquired expertise—not only in their own practice, but by sharing it with colleagues. This model retains talent within their countries of origin, preventing the common pattern where doctors trained abroad remain for greater professional opportunities.

When we founded AMSA in 2010, it became clear that OMI’s educational approach held exceptional promise for Mexico. It allows Mexican doctors to learn from global leaders across specialties, with the explicit understanding that they will return to their institutions to implement updated protocols and treatments—directly elevating the standard of care nationwide. Together with my wife Almudena, we have been privileged to leverage our international relationships to bring OMI’s program to Mexico. It remains both an honor and a point of pride to influence the professional journeys of the numerous doctors who participate in OMI seminars year after year, spanning a wide range of medical disciplines.

Internationally acclaimed physicians volunteer their time as seminar faculty in Salzburg, and I am delighted that many now also teach in Mexico City as part of OMI-MEX. It is incredibly rewarding to see Mexico evolve into a regional training hub for Latin American doctors, much like Salzburg for Europe and Vietnam for Asia.

What I find especially compelling—and worth highlighting—is that these distinguished medical leaders generously donate their time to mentor the next generation of physicians.

During OMI seminars, mornings are dedicated to clinical instruction, while afternoons feature interactive clinical case discussions. Each participant presents a challenging case from their own practice, inviting collective problem-solving and advice from both faculty and peers. This dynamic exchange fosters deep engagement and practical learning.I can attest that every Mexican doctor who has attended a seminar in Salzburg describes it as a transformative experience—one that reshaped their clinical approach and professional outlook. Beyond knowledge acquisition, the program fosters lasting connections with experts and peers worldwide, creating an ongoing support network for consultation, case discussion, and shared learning.

Both my brother Gerardo and I had the privilege of growing up in a family where we were raised by example, to be grateful and to recognize that, as good human beings, we have a very important commitment to our country. Our mother, Concha Legorreta, was a guiding inspiration in establishing AMSA, reinforcing my belief in the importance of giving back to Mexico in meaningful ways. From the beginning, I was determined to create a foundation with tangible impact, supported by a talented and dedicated team. Thanks to the leadership of my brother Gerardo and Becky Sáenz, we have built exactly that—a motivated group deeply committed to advancing medical education and improving healthcare across Mexico through these vital training programs.

In 2025, Alianza Médica para la Salud (AMSA) proudly celebrated 15 years of unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare quality in Mexico and across Latin America. Since its inception, AMSA has trained 5,403 healthcare professionals through continuing education programs and mentoring, highlighting the importance of investing in human capital as the foundation for transforming the healthcare system.

A key driver of this impact has been AMSA’s enduring partnership with the Open Medical Institute (OMI), through which 932 Mexican physicians have gained access to world-class medical seminars in Salzburg, Austria since 2010. Participants in these programs also have the unique opportunity to participate in observerships lasting one to three months at OMI-affiliated institutions in Austria and the United States. These immersive experiences enable fellows to master new clinical techniques, adopt advanced treatment protocols, and contribute to pioneering medical research.

Through strategic alliances with leading public and private healthcare institutions across Mexico, AMSA has significantly enhanced the quality and reach of its educational programs. This model creates a powerful multiplier effect: trained physicians actively share knowledge within their networks, indirectly benefiting an estimated 37,280 professionals nationwide.

Among AMSA’s flagship initiatives is the OMI-MEX Seminars program, launched in 2017, which brings elite medical training directly to Mexico City for physicians from across Latin America. In 2025 alone, 13 seminars were held, benefiting 660 doctors including more than 180 international participants from the region.

Further championing innovation, AMSA introduced the “AMSA Award in Support of Research” in 2025 to stimulate scientific inquiry and recognize breakthrough contributions to healthcare. Its inaugural edition attracted 174 project submissions, reflecting a vibrant and growing culture of medical research among emerging professionals.

To strengthen primary care, AMSA also launched a Training Program for General Practitioners via instructional videos in 2025, starting with modules in general pediatrics. This initiative equips frontline physicians with practical tools for accurate diagnosis, with plans to expand in 2026 to cover the most prevalent pathologies in Mexico and Latin America.

Today, AMSA stands as a pivotal force in the transformation of Mexico’s healthcare landscape—advancing continuous education, fostering talent, and promoting a more equitable and efficient system.

Looking ahead, AMSA’s vision for the next five years centers on extending its educational model throughout Latin America, driven by the belief that shared knowledge amplifies impact. The foundation aspires to become the region’s most innovative organization dedicated to healthcare human capital development, while establishing clinical research as a fundamental pillar for generating locally relevant, high-quality scientific evidence.

AMSA remains steadfast in its mission to equip healthcare professionals with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

Finally, I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to Pablo, Almudena and Gerardo Legorreta, along with every member of the Board of Trustees, for entrusting me with the leadership of AMSA since its founding in 2010. The brain drain in the healthcare sector is increasing in many parts of the world, particularly in underserved regions. The ongoing loss of medical professionals threatens both, the availability and quality of care, leading to immense suffering for those left behind. In many cases, due to a lack of trained staff, essential procedures cannot be performed to modern standards, or must be done without supervision, resulting in complications and, too often, fatal outcomes.

The migration of doctors from poorer to wealthier countries is driven by a range of factors, including higher salaries, better infrastructure, improved quality of life, and greater safety for families. However, the growing demand for healthcare workers in wealthier nations is not only due to these pull factors; it is also increasingly shaped by population dynamics and changing work ethics with many doctors in high-income countries opting for reduced working hours and a better work-life balance. As a result, these countries often rely on imported labor to fill workforce gaps.

Today, over 50,000 African doctors work in the six richest countries in the world. In Nigeria alone, more than 50 trained doctors leave the country each week. This growing imbalance is unacceptable in an interconnected world and calls for global attention and cooperation.

The Open Medical Institute (OMI) offers a unique approach to retaining physicians and strengthening healthcare systems where they are needed most. Successful fellows are offered multiple participations in the OMI educational programs which makes OMI a careerlong mentoring institution. At its core, the program builds bridges in global healthcare by investing in those who make a daily difference in hospitals and clinics around the world.

In 2025, the OMI continued to fulfill this vital mission with three fully operational hubs in Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia; reaching even more healthcare professionals and expanding its global impact.

OMI Seminars in SALZBURG, AUSTRIA

Since the beginning of this academic partnership in 2010, 932 Mexican doctors have participated in OMI programs in Salzburg, Austria.

OMI’s seminars are one-week courses in all areas of medicine held at Schloss Arenberg in Salzburg, Austria throughout the calendar year.

These programs combine lectures, clinical case presentations, workshops, and, in many cases, hands-on training.

Mexican physicians who participate in an OMI seminar are selected based on their merit and leadership. They must be Mexican citizens, under 40 years of age, fluent in English, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be willing to share their experiences and knowledge back in Mexico, benefiting vulnerable populations.

The professors, world-renowned physicians, donate their time and expertise during the seminar week, fostering close relationships with the attending physicians.

Adrián Esquivel, MD OMI Seminar in Famly Medicine April 6-12, 2025 The faculty, OMI staff and fellows were all amazing, very outgoing and willing to share culture and knowledge during the entire time we spent together. We learned a lot about geriatric care but also about how the real world works and how we are able to improve our practice and give better quality of life to our patients.

It was truly refreshing to not only learn from faculty delivering outstanding lectures on the latest developments in their fields, but also to engage in meaningful discussions where we exchanged perspectives and evaluated how these issues are approached in our respective countries.

We also participated in a powerful workshop that used role-playing to explore how to communicate difficult news and navigate conversations about serious illnesses. This experience provided valuable training in applying narrative medicine to better understand and connect with our patients.

José Alfredo Puentes López, MD OMI Seminar in Lipid Metabolism and Atherosclerosis September 28 – October 4, 2025 The week at the Open Medical Institute has been one of the most enriching experiences of my professional life. From the very first day, the academic pace was both rigorous and rewarding. Dr. Brown’s lecture on lipid metabolism was particularly memorable—he transformed a complex subject into an engaging and accessible discussion, helping me refine concepts I had previously taken for granted. Between sessions, I had the pleasure of connecting with colleagues and faculty from diverse countries, all of whom were remarkably kind and approachable.

In retrospect, this seminar provided not only advanced and practical knowledge in lipid disorders but also a valuable space to exchange perspectives, learn from leading experts, and build meaningful international connections. I return home with updated knowledge that will strengthen both my clinical practice and academic work in dyslipidemias, as well as with friendships that will extend far beyond this week.

Rosa Lilia Castro Díaz, MD OMI Seminar in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare April 13–19, 2025 The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together medical specialists and economists from different countries. This diversity enriched the discussions and made the learning experience particularly insightful.

It also deepened my appreciation of the complexity surrounding real-world healthcare costs and patient outcomes. Drawing on examples such as the ACTION trial, I gained a clearer understanding of how cost-effectiveness analyses can inform more balanced and evidence-based clinical decision-making.

Overall, the seminar offered a valuable platform to engage with international experts, learn from cutting-edge research, and bring new insights back to my work in Mexico. It strengthened my ability to contribute to health policy and resource allocation through the application of economic evidence.

Madeleine Marcué Arana, MD OMI Seminar in Public Health Strategy October 26 – November 1, 2025 Participating in the specialized course on Public Health I has been, without a doubt, one of the most enriching and formative experiences of my professional career. Throughout the sessions, I was able to immerse myself in the complex and fascinating world of political advocacy and public management, acquiring invaluable tools for my future.

The course also provided me with detailed expertise in ethical and effective lobbying strategies, as well as in the fundamental technique of strategic coalition building, key to driving agendas for change. Finally, learning about the monitoring of law compliance and the evaluation of its impact completes a cycle of comprehensive knowledge.

All the fellows that participate in the OMI seminars in Salzburg, Austria, are candidates for a one-to-three-month medical observership in Europe or the United States, at one of the many medical institutions that have a partnership with OMI. The selection process is based on the physicians’ merits and commitment to AMSA once they are back in Mexico after the OMI Seminars.

Rodrigo Uribe Pacheco National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INNN) Angeles Hospital, Querétaro OMI Observership in Neurosurgery, Medical University of Innsbruck October-December2025 I had the opportunity to participate in a three-month Neurosurgery Observership in the Medical University Innsbruck. In my daily practice at the hospital, I attended morning rounds and assisted in navigating spinal instrumentation procedures. Given the limited access to spinal navigation in Mexico, this practice was particularly valuable, as it greatly enhances safety and reduces radiation exposure, an addition I intend to incorporate into select cases back home.

At the Skull Base Morning Sessions, I presented our institutional experience from the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INNN) in Mexico: “Predictive Score of Recurrence and Mortality in Surgically Treated Clival Chordomas.”, which focused on the surgical challenges of these rare and aggressive skull base tumors. I discussed how our team analyzed ten years of data to identify factors influencing recurrence and survival, leading to developing a predictive score that contributed to postoperative decision-making.

One of the most valuable activities for me was the “Brain & Spine” journal plenary, led by Wilco Peul (Editor-in-Chief ) and Torstein Meling (EANS President 2025). Their reflections on the journal’s development, global reach, and challenges in editorial management provided crucial insight for my current role as Editor-inChief of “Archives of Neuroscience.” It inspired several strategies I intend to apply in Mexico to strengthen scientific communication and editorial collaboration.

The team at the Medical University of Innsbruck taught me how growth, a right mindset, and great teamwork shape achievement, values that are crucial in surgical training.

Vania Itzel Aguirre Rojano Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) Regional General Hospital #1 “Carlos MacGregor” OMI Observership in Urology - Medical University of Vienna, May 2025 The observership in urology at the Medical University of Vienna was truly inspiring. It highlighted for me the urgent need to strengthen research in Mexico, as well as the importance of collaborating with international institutions and building connections with experienced professionals who can help guide my development in urology.

This experience also made me realize how many opportunities exist beyond my local environment and how valuable it is to stay connected and learn from others, even across different specialties. Spending a month alongside specialists from various parts of the world significantly broadened my perspective on medicine.

I am deeply grateful to OMI and AMSA for this opportunity, and I hope that in the future I can contribute by welcoming visiting physicians to my own institution and helping teach young doctors from around the world.

Olga Santín Saeb Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) OMI Observership in Pediatric Oncology University Hospital Graz, Austria September2025 My hemato-oncology observership in Graz allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the value of teamwork, efficient clinical organization, and effective communication with patients and their families. I observed how simple but well-structured strategies, such as regular planning meetings, organized ward rounds, and the integration of a multidisciplinary team, can significantly enhance the quality of care. These approaches, which do not necessarily require extensive resources, have inspired me to explore how they might be adapted in Mexico to improve coordination and clinical outcomes. Throughout these weeks, I not only gained knowledge about treatments and protocols but also learned a way of practicing medicine that places the patient and their family at the center of care. I hope to carry this perspective into my future clinical practice.

Adrián Martínez Correa High Specialty Hospital, Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico OMI Observership in Urology – Fundació Puigvert, University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain September 2025 This medical observership at Fundació Puigvert has been an extraordinary experience and a turning point in my training as a urologist.

During these weeks, I had the opportunity to learn firsthand advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques, as well as cutting-edge procedures such as HIFU for prostate cancer and robotic kidney transplantation, experiences that would have been difficult to access in my home country.

Regular participation in multidisciplinary oncology sessions reinforced the importance of a comprehensive and collaborative approach to each clinical case. This experience has not only enriched my clinical practice but has also equipped me with new tools to contribute innovative perspectives and surgical strategies at my home institution in Mexico.

Dolores Pérez Pérez National Institute of Perinatology OMI Observership in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medical University of Vienna June 2025 During my observership at the General Hospital of Vienna, I had the opportunity to broaden my clinical knowledge and skills in anesthesiology, deepen my understanding of diverse healthcare systems, and strengthen intercultural competencies. Under the mentorship of Dr. Alessia Felli and with the support of program coordinator Franziska Klein, I experienced significant professional and personal growth.

This observership provided a transformative experience that not only enhanced my clinical competence in anesthesiology but also broadened my global perspective on healthcare delivery. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Alessia Felli for her mentorship, and to Franziska Klein and Dr. Wolfgang Aulitzky for their unwavering support throughout the program. I wholeheartedly recommend this observership to fellow medical professionals seeking to expand their expertise and global outlook in anesthesiology and other medical specialties.

To commemorate its 15th anniversary, AMSA proudly launched the AMSA Award in support of Medical Research 2025. This initiative aims to identify pioneering research that fosters innovative medical practices and enhances healthcare outcomes across Mexico. A key objective is to inspire and support the next generation of Mexican physicians, encouraging them to pursue deeper engagement in clinical research and recognize their commitment to innovation in the field.

In 2025, AMSA issued an expanded call for submissions, widely disseminated through Mexico’s leading medical schools and its social media channels. The response was outstanding: 174 original research projects were received from young physicians across both public and private healthcare sectors, as well as numerous academic institutions.

During the award ceremony, David Kershenobich, Minister of Health, congratulated the winners and emphasized that the development of leaders contributes to building a supportive ecosystem for Mexican medicine, one that fosters national talent and promotes networks of scientific collaboration. He also mentioned that this award not only promotes research in the country, but also recognizes the value of those who dedicate their passion, time, and talent to discovery, innovation, and the advancement of knowledge in healthcare.

“Mexico’s transformation has, as one of its guiding pillars, the development of science, innovation and leadership training” is what David Kershenobich, MD, stated during the AMSA Award 2025 ceremony, in which researchers from the National Institute of Genomic Medicine (INMEGEN), the National Institute of Perinatology (INPer), and the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) were awarded first, second, and third place, respectively.

Concha Creel de Legorreta Member of AMSA’s Board of Trustees AMSA’s work is highly important not only for Mexico, but also for other Latin American countries, as it contributes to the training of well-prepared physicians through high-quality education provided by highly qualified international doctors.

Combined with the fluid exchange of communication that develops among them, this results in improved medical services for all Latin Americans. As a result of this strong training, physicians gain access to new techniques and up-to-date treatments.

Thanks to the example that my husband, Pablo Legorreta, and I have set for our children, having worked for many years with the Mexican Red Cross, our children became involved from a young age in fundraising campaigns and other activities to

support the healthcare sector. Today, Pablo and his wife Almudena Caso, founded AMSA and continue working within the institution. Gerardo serves as President of AMSA. Concha, my daughter, together with her husband, Alfonso Angoitia, founded Kardias, a foundation dedicated to performing heart surgeries for children from low-income backgrounds. Daniela, the youngest of my children, organizes, along with others, a gala in New York to raise funds for Kardias.

For me, AMSA has become very well established over these15 years. It has grown significantly and will continue to do so thanks to the outstanding leadership of Becky Sáenz. I am very pleased to see how AMSA is now highly recognized within the global medical community.

Congratulations to AMSA on its 15th Anniversary! What a momentous occasion as we look back at all that has been accomplished in such a short time through AMSA’s leadership and contributions to the health of children in Mexico and beyond. I am proud that in my roles with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) I was able to partner with so many colleagues in Mexico.

CHOP hosted physician and nursing colleagues from Mexico for many years, especially physicians from Hospital Infantil de Mexico Federico Gómez (HIMFG) and Instituto Nacional de Pediatria (INP). AMSA helped to support many of these observerships.

I was honored to participate in the First International Congress in Pediatric Emergency Medicine led by Dr. Victor Olivar at HIMFG in 2012. In 2017, I was excited to lead the first OMI-Mex Seminar in Pediatrics at the Carlos Slim Foundation. CHOP’s participation in OMI-Mex has grown to providing three seminars in pediatric medicine and a more broad-based, leadership seminar annually.

Th e G l o b a l H e a l t h co u r s e, w i t h a m a i n fo c u s o n vector-borne diseases (VBD), results from a collaboration between Institute Pasteur AMSA and OMI. This course traces the history, challenges, and future of VBDs in a context of global and climate changes. Experts from Europe and the region discussed diseases specific to the American continent. The most advanced control methods were described, offering much hope in the fight against these diseases, some of which (dengue, Zika, chikungunya, malaria) have led to pandemics.

AMSA, in collaboration with OMI, anticipated tomorrow's emergencies by offering this course on VBDs because, as Louis Pasteur said, “Chance favors the prepared mind”.

Delivering this course is both an opportunity and an honor: an opportunity to choose medical entomology as the flagship discipline to illustrate the health challenges of tomorrow, and an honor to have been selected to represent it.

It is a coveted opportunity for our faculty to participate because of the enthusiasm and interest that comes from the fellows that assist. It was an honor to be among the first fellows to participate, and from the very beginning I felt a mix of excitement, challenge, and even a bit of uncertainty. I did not know exactly what to expect, which made the experience all the more daunting.

However, from the very first moments, that uncertainty transformed into something extraordinary. My journey as an AMSA fellow began in 2018, at a very early stage of my career as a dermatologist at the INCMNSZ. I initially attended an OMI seminar in Salzburg on Immunology, and years later, in 2024, I participated in a second seminar on Cutaneous Oncology in collaboration with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), which greatly contributed to my academic networking and provided clarity regarding my professional vision. Additionally, I have been very fortunate to receive scholarships to strengthen my skills and knowledge in leadership, quality of care, and informatics, all of which have advanced my career and improved my practice as a dermatologist, educator, and researcher.

Angeles Hospital, Queretaro, Mexico Over the past few years, my relationship with AMSA has been one of the most meaningful experiences in my professional and personal development. Through its continuing education and international collaboration programs, I had the opportunity to further my neurosurgical training at the Medical University of Innsbruck under the mentorship of Prof. Claudius Thomé, participating in advanced training in complex spine surgery, central nervous system tumors, and neurosurgical research.

Beyond the technical skills acquired, AMSA has served as a true bridge between institutions, cultures, and professionals who share a common conviction: that medical education, when built on collaboration and excellence, has the power to transform the way we care for our patients.

I am currently part of the medical staff at an oncology center, where I participate in the care of patients with central nervous system tumors within a transdisciplinary care model. In parallel, I collaborate on research protocols aimed at improving clinical follow-up and survival analysis through artificial intelligence tools, as well as in the development of technological solutions to optimize neurosurgical practice.

I also have the honor of serving as Editor-in-Chief of “Neurosciences Archives”, the scientific journal of the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery. I consider my training within AMSA to have been fundamental in allowing me to carry out these responsibilities with a strong sense of ethics and professional responsibility.

Thanks to the growth opportunities provided by AMSA, as well as my additional training in skull base surgery at Emory University under the mentorship of Prof. Gustavo Pradilla, I continue to collaborate on translational and international research projects with the Medical University of Innsbruck and Emory University. These projects focus particularly on central nervous system tumors, intracerebral hemorrhages, and the development of innovations in surgical techniques.

The leadership training and global perspective I gained through AMSA were, without a doubt, essential components in allowing me to responsibly fulfill my current role as Vice President of the Mexican Association for Adolescent Health. This connection demonstrates that AMSA’s impact is multiplying: it empowers individuals who, in turn, empower institutions.

In my view, AMSA acts as a key equalizer in addressing disparities. In a healthcare system marked by significant inequalities, it enables cutting-edge knowledge to reach those of us on the front lines of care and ensures that Mexican talent is recognized worldwide. Being part of this movement demands excellence, but in return it offers the concrete opportunity to become key agents of change in our nation’s public health system, as well as access to a strong professional network.

My goal for the coming years is to continue contributing to the development of solid spaces for adolescent medicine through this collaboration, and to help change the reality of thousands of young people through a humane, empathetic medical practice grounded in the best available evidence.

Fundamentally, it is a tool for social justice through medical education. To newer generations of students and professionals, I would say: do not see AMSA merely as a source of training, but as access to a community where ethics, science, and social impact set the highest standards.

OMI: Global impact and reach

Starting in 2022, we expanded the OMI program by inviting physicians from across Latin America to participate in the OMI-MEX seminars in Mexico City. In the same spirit of global expansion, OMI has also established a new hub in Vietnam to provide high-quality medical training seminars for healthcare professionals throughout Southeast Asia. With this development, we have created a worldwide continuing medical education program with three training centers: Austria, Mexico, and Vietnam.

The Open Medical Institute has built an extensive network of partners and collaborates with institutions and individuals around the world. OMI’s international partners actively promote its programs among local healthcare professionals and provide administrative, financial, and logistical support. OMI’s local coordinators, our partners in the home countries of each fellow, offer valuable information and assistance to physicians interested in OMI programs.

Despite globalization, healthcare remains local. It is a shared priority to continuously develop local capacity and significantly improve the quality of healthcare services worldwide. When young physicians participate in an OMI program, they return to their home countries equipped with cutting-edge medical knowledge, practical insights and tips from highly experienced specialists, and a network of colleagues and mentors they can consult throughout their professional careers. This makes them ideally prepared to assume leadership roles in their countries while also improving the care they provide to their patients.

Since 1993, OMI has awarded more than 30,300 academic scholarships to physicians and healthcare professionals from 138 countries, more than 3,800 of whom have also participated in OMI clinical observership programs at hospitals in Austria and the United States.

Annual Gala Open Medical Institute

The American Austrian Foundation hosted its annual Music for Medicine event on December 2, 2025, in New York to benefit the Open Medical Institute bringing together supporters, artists, and medical leaders.

Music for Medicine Benefit: A Resounding Success

The evening featured an intimate performance by Vienna Philharmonic members Yamen Saadi, Sebastian, Führlinger, and Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg, who played Schubert and Beethoven to a captivated audience.

Dr. Wolfgang Aulitzky, OMI´s Executive Director, highlighted the program’s global reach, sharing the story of a Nigerian doctor who trained in Salzburg and now runs the country’s busiest cochlear implant team. Meanwhile AMSA’s Honorary Chairman and Founder, Pablo Legorreta, emphasized the OMI’s impact on the Mexican healthcare system since 2010.

The night concluded with dinner and an auction offering experiences such as trips to Oaxaca and the Mozart Festival, combining philanthropy, culture, and a celebration of medical education beyond borders.
