This Boxing Legend has been a steady rising star for over a decade as a young boxer. Born March 17th 1995, Claressa Marie Shields began boxing at 11 years old. Today she is the Undisputed Heavyweight World Champion. Her journey started with her love of boxing through her dad. Although Claressa had a traumatic childhood. Claressa Grandmother always instilled in her to believe in herself. Today if you ask Claressa she would tell you she doesn’t know where she would be without boxing. Boxing allowed Claressa to deal with her anger.
Claressa over came many obstacles, through the love of boxing. Claressa soon set her sights on the Olympics and with her determination she made it to the 2012 and the 2016 Olympics and won back to back gold metals. Claressa became the 1st American to win gold in boxing and the first to win gold in the sport in back to back Olympics. Proclaiming herself the GWOAT the Greatest Woman Off All Time, Claressa has proven that over and over again.
The documentary T-Rex :Her Fight for Gold, released in 2015 documented Claressa journey. Going pro in 2016 according to records Claressa currently holds the record for becoming a two, three, four and five division world champion in the fewest professional fights. In 2018, Claressa was inducted into the USA Boxing Alumni Association’s Hall of Fame. The Boxing Writers Association of America gave Claressa the 2018 Christy Martin Award - Female Fighter of the Year. In 2023, Claressa became the first woman to win the Best Boxer ESPY Award. In 2024 the Movie “The Fire Inside” Is about Clarisse’s life and journey in boxing. This Boxing Legend today has been honored and award many more tittles and given accolades including: Female Boxer of the Decade, by Sports News, Fighter of the Year by ESPN and The performance of the year by the WBC in 2024. This Boxing Legend continues to break barriers. Claressa is an inspiration to many. She continues to give back to her family, her community in Flint, Michigan and the youth through her Philanthropy work. This Boxing Legend had big gloves to fill. Born Laila Amaria Ali on December 30th 1977 Laila is the daughter of boxing Legend Mohammed Ali and Veronica Ali. Though laterHer parents divorced, Mohammed remained the doting father and hero to Laila. Laila went through her troubled phase as a youth, but turned herself around and became a young entrepreneur owning her own nail salon at the age of 16. By the time Laila reached 18 she had set her sights on becoming a professional boxer. At the beginning Laila’s Father did not want her to box. One because of his faith as a Muslim. But Laila pursued the career of her dreams and followed in Mohammed ‘s footsteps. Laila became a force to recon with. Her career began in 1999 and when Laila fought her first fight many took notice because she was Muhammad Ali’s daughter but by her 9th win in a row they knew she was a serious contender. In 2001 with many fans wanting a fight between Laila and Joe Frazier s daughter or George Foreman’s daughter, Laila and Jacqui Frazier took to the ring. This fight was the first pay per view fight for women. Laila went on to win the fight. Laila retired from boxing in 2007 with 24 fights and 24 wins as Light Heavyweight Champion. She retired undefeated and was hailed as the greatest female boxer of all time. This Boxing Legend went on to be a model, television personality, entrepreneur, author, fitness advocate and motivational speaker. Today she is still challenged as a fighter.
Laila is married with two children and was recently signed with a new talent agency and has not come out of retirement to step back into the ring.
Mike Tyson born Michael Gerald Tyson on June 30th 1966 would go on to become one of boxing’s all time great boxers. Growing up Mike had a reputation for being a wild child and getting in trouble in school and on the streets. It was during these trouble times that Mike formed a love of boxing when discovered by one of the coaches at a boys school he was enrolled in. Tyson lost his mother at the age of 16 and has said she never had the opportunity to see him do something great.
Tyson mastered his craft of boxing early on and won gold medals at the 1981 and 1982 Junior Olympics. He went on to become the youngest heavy weight champion in the history of boxing at the age of 20. Often mocked because of his voice, Tyson proved he was more than just a high voice he packed one of the most powerful punches and carried the name of Iron Mike Tyson. Mike’s speed, agility and strength made him a serious contender in the boxing world. Mike became the undisputed Heavyweight Champion from 1986 to 1990. Tyson’s record before he lost to Buster Douglas in 1990 was 37-0 with 33 of those fights ending in K/O’s.
Mike Tyson professional career has him listed as one of boxing most powerful hitters and all time greats. Today Tyson has the been inducted into the International Boxers Hall of Fame. In 2020 he started the Mike Tyson’s Legends only League that allows retired boxers to fight in their sport. Mike had his share of personal troubles through the years. But today he is married to longtime love Lakiha Spicer whom he married in 2009 and has 7 children.
This Boxing Legend is still going strong. Tyson recently had an boxing match with Jake Paul which set a record on the highest gate sales out side of Las Vegas for any fight. Tyson influence in boxing is staggering with boxers still today wanting to get in the ring with him.

The Greatest of all Time Boxing Champion of the World; Muhammad Ali was born Cassious Clay on January 17 1942. This Boxing Legend began his career at the age of 12 and by the age of 22 was the Heavyweight Champion of the world. In 1964 Muhammad won the heavyweight Championship by defeating Sonny Liston and the rest is history. Changing his name from Cassious Clay to Muhammed Ali to declaring he would not join the military during the draft made him an instant hero, and leader to melanated people around the world. Muhammed was the people’s champ. Known for his fancy footwork, his trash talking rhymes and pretty boy looks Muhammed declared he was the greatest and had the skill set to prove it.
With many career highs from the Rumble in Jungle to his career matches with other all time greats. Muhammed was named fighter of the year 6 times, Sports Man of the year, Fighter of the decade, and was one of the 1st inductees into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Muhammed’s boxing career is unprecedented. According to the World Boxing Council Muhammed Ali is the Greatest Heavyweight Champion of all times.
Muhammed would retire in 1981. He would go on to do philanthropy work, activism and focus on family and religion. Diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease, Muhammed Ali passed away June 3rd 2016.
