The Franksville Craft Beer Garden continues to pride itself on its free entertainment lineup, especially after being named “Best Free Entertainment” in 2021 and 2022. In addition to its well-known Friday and Saturday Live Music Series presented by Real Racine, the FCBG has worked to improve

The Live Music Stage at the Franksville Craft Beer Garden might be small, but it provides some of the best live music anywhere. The lineup of musicians is filled with everything from local greats to musicians regularly found at venues such as State Fair and Summerfest. The FCBG’s reputation of always having a great crowd helps attract artists who want to put the FCBG on their schedules every season.

This award comes as the zoo is celebrating its 100th anniversary in Racine.

Initially established in the area Racine residents today know as Island Park, the zoo now sits along Lake Michigan, north of Downtown Racine.

Racine Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which indicates a standard of animal care, veterinary programs, conservation, education and safety.

“The mission of the 100-year-old zoo is to foster an enlightening and affordable wildlife experience that improves the bond between people and nature,” Kristen Humphrey, marketing and public relations manager

for Racine Zoo, said.

The zoo is home to a variety of animals big and small, including endangered wildlife. Visitors can look forward to seeing lions and giraffes, penguins, a variety of snakes, and primates including an orangutan and spider monkeys.

Racine Zoo programming includes an emphasis on wildlife and conservation education for guests of all ages.

Racine residents also look forward to annual community events at the zoo, including Eggstravaganza, Boo at the Zoo, and the summer Animal Crackers Concert Series.

“The zoo is a place of connection and a place that is welcoming to everyone,” Humphrey said.

When I list a home, it is my goal to take a large amount of stress off the seller. I provide them with everything they need to get as much money as possible for their home while also feeling the constant support of an expert agent. I have a phenomenal real estate photographer, stager, cleaning team, marketing manager and transaction coordinator. Every single one of these people play a role in maintaining a streamlined/smooth process for my clients. And, it costs nothing extra for them. It is a part of what I offer as

What does community mean to you?

I have a deep appreciation for our community. I was born and raised in Racine.

When I was an undergrad student at UW-Madison, I didn’t necessarily have plans to move back, but I often think about how grateful I am that life led me back here. I have deep relationships with so many wonderful people in our community. I have lifelong friends that still live here. My parents and inlaws live in town. My husband is a lieutenant with the Racine Fire Department and we consider all of them an extension of our family. Before I became a Realtor, I was a teacher in RUSD and built so many relationships with fellow educators and families. We are blessed to live in Racine, we are proud of our community and we are deeply dedicated to the area.
