The assistant housemistress has an essential role in the running of the House, and she will be on duty one day every week, when she runs the house. Hayley will take up post in St Bede’s in September; she currently works in the Sports department and has been a valued member of pastoral staff in other houses.

House Matron: Lori Ball

Matron is indispensable in the smooth running of the House. She has responsibility for all the domestic arrangements in the House and will organise appropriate care if you are ill, help with organisation and always be there for a cup of tea and a chat!

House Monitors

House monitors will represent St Bede’s and help define who we are. Their influence is crucial and it is expected that they set a good example in a balanced approach to academic, sporting, spiritual and social aspects of life at Ampleforth. Most importantly, the girls of St Bede’s should thrive to be compassionate and assertive, kind and independent. I know that they will make you all feel welcome and a part of the house. All our House Monitor team are approachable, and you can talk to them if you need help or advice; they will always listen and show great kindness.
