When I am in Stockholm, my hometown, I ride my pink Kronan bicycle a lot. For breakfast in my hood, I love the crossover variation of a typical ”kanelbulle” and a croissant at Fosch. Another gem is KMK , the royal motorboat club and a great spot is Mr Cake, famous for their red velvet croissant.

Culture

Two of Stockholm’s most beautiful spots are the homes and studios of two of Sweden’s most famous sculptors, the stunning sculpture garden and museum Millesgården at Lidingö, the views are breathtaking, and the unique home and work studio of sculptor Carl Eldh, that is open Thursday to Sunday 12 noon to 4 PM. The Royal Stockholm Opera celebrates 250 years and has world class performances make sure to go to either the ballet or an Opera.

Lunchtime

A Stockholm classic is Lisa Elmqvist at Saluhallen, the fish and food market is a must. Newly opened ”Slipen” offers lunch, dinner and a café part, try ”hallongrottan”, (raspberry cave), I am obsessed, Slipen is located in Djurgården, The Royal Animal garden, in the same area you can grab classic meatballs at Ulla Winbladh lisaelmqvist.se // slipen.se // ullawinbladh.se // mahalosthlm.se tengu.se // cafesaturnus.se // positanoyes.com

Try vegan delights at my favorite Mahalo and if you are in the mood for ramen try the Tengu. Saturnus, all day café is a great spot for a snack.
