QUALITY BRAND MACHINERY HOUSE
LEADER The RealMachinery group continues its solid and determined development work to be the most customer-driven actor in the field. Our latest development activities include refocusing of activities, entry of investor partners, and investments in personnel recruitment as well as staff retention measures. At the end of May, the leading Nordic venture capital industry expert CapMan Growth Equity made a minority investment in our company. This investment helps us to strive towards gaining a more solid position in the machinery rental market and broadening our service offering both in Finland as well as the Nordic countries with our current brand portfolio. In the future, we will be able to tailor customer-specific rental machinery, among other things. The entry of CapMan also enabled the arrangement of a share issue directed at the personnel, and RealMachinery Ltd got many new employee-shareholders. All these arrangements have brought additional resources for the company to develop and expand its activities. In recent years, our theme has been the development of aftersales services. Functioning aftersales services are the most important part of today’s machinery sales business, and RealMachinery offers professional quality services in all aftersales sectors. We are also seeking new collaboration partners for our maintenance network and performing precise, ongoing recruitment for our aftersales services. The prevailing market conditions in the field are very good at the moment and we are very close to achieving the maximum sales of machinery. In the future, the competition for customers will mainly take place via providing a full range of services – we have been preparing for this for a long time.
Capman Growth Equity partner Antti Kummu (left) and Mikko Uusi-Marttila, the Chief Executive Officer of RealMachinery Ltd, shake hands as a sign of collaboration.
We also have news concerning our premises. In the spring, we opened a new office in Kuopio. In the autumn, our Oulu office will get stylish, new premises. These will help us to provide more extensive services for our customers in Eastern and Northern Finland. Construction work at our new equipping hall have begun in Lempäälä, too – in the future, we will concentrate all our equipping activities at our Lempäälä site. In addition to the equipping activities, the new hall will contain premises for the lift sales and maintenance activities of RealLift. Skilled and motivated personnel are the most important resource of any company. We invest a lot in our personnel, too, and our Personnel Fund, which was established a year ago, has been a success. In the first year, RealMachinery disbursed approximately EUR 200,000 to the fund for the attained objectives. As for recruitment activities, we also seek top professionals of our field to join our team all the time. The newest recruits of RealMachinery are Mikko Sopanen, who was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer, and Jarmo Tonteri, who is in charge of our equipping activities. Both recruits bring new skills and energy to the machinery group.
RealMachinery Ltd invests heavily in developing aftersales services.
RealMachinery will be also highly visible at various events in the autumn. Come and meet us at the FinnMETKO exhibition, the Logistics Trade Fair, the FinnBuild Fair or the opening ceremony of our Oulu office.

RealMachinery Ltd, founded in 2010, is a nationwide full-service company specialised in machinery. The company sells, rents out, repairs, maintains and equips earthmoving machinery for every purpose. In addition to RealMachinery, the machinery company includes Dae-Tek Ltd, which has over 25 years of experience in machinery sales and importation, RealLift Ltd and Keslift Ltd, specialised in lifting machinery, and RealParts, which specialises in attachments. The net sales of the RealMachinery machinery group, established in 2018, is EUR 65 million and it currently employs over 100 people. - Our ambitious objective is to grow to be the leading nationwide actor in our field. In addition to that, we now also strive to expand in the Nordic countries with the aim of offering the most customer-driven services in the field and grow to be the largest machinery company of the Nordic countries, said the CEO of RealMachinery, Mikko Uusi-Marttila.
CapMan’s Growth Equity team actively searches entrepreneur-driven start-up companies seeking strong growth and makes significant minority investments to the tune of several million to develop them as active owners. At present, Growth Equity is a growth investor of eight non-listed Nordic companies in total. - It’s great that a leading Nordic investment and asset management company operating in the venture capital sector believes in us and our growth story as well as this industry, says Uusi-Marttila. In addition to CapMan, RealMachinery wants to engage its own personnel in the growth story. Thus, every employee of RealMachinery has an opportunity to buy shares in connection with the transaction. - The competition for good employees is fierce in the market, and we want to engage as well as motivate our personnel by offering an opportunity to invest in the company and be a part of our growth story by means of ownership, concludes Uusi-Marttila.
With the help of CapMan Growth Equity’s investment, the company is now striving to gain a more solid position in the machinery rental market, broaden its service offering and enter new customer segments. The company aims to expand its operations to other Nordic countries with its current brand portfolio. - I’m very pleased to start our cooperation with RealMachinery. A magnificent culture of entrepreneurship thrives in the company, allowing experimentation and doing things in a new way. This supports our common vision to expand RealMachinery to be the leading machinery house in the Nordic countries, explains CapMan Growth Equity partner Antti Kummu.

Kari Vaselius does contract work at the Tampere tramline site with a new Bobcat E57W compact excavator. The machine is well-suited for city conditions.
Wheel-mounted Bobcat E57W
EXCELLENT IN CITY CONDITIONS
Kari Vaselius is a contractor from Koisjärvi and one of the many self-employed earthmoving professionals working at the Tampere tramline site. Confined city conditions require the correct type of machines. A completely new tramline network is being built in Tampere to complement the area’s public transport infrastructure. The tramline is naturally situated in the city centre and building it is challenging. - Of course, we have to consider many different things, because we are now working in the heart of the city. As a result, we must schedule the works reasonably and efficiently, taking into account the people living and working in the area. The works have progressed well and the tramline is developing at a steady pace, says earthmoving entrepreneur Kari Vaselius. For this site, Vaselius acquired a new wheel-mounted Bobcat E57W from RealMachinery. - We do a lot of excavating work near the sides of houses and in really confined spaces that cannot be accessed with large machines. We selected the Bobcat with the help of RealMachinery’s salesperson Pekka Heikkinen, with whom we have done business earlier on bigger Doosans. We wanted a functioning and powerful machine that is easy to use in confined spaces – this new Bobcat has lived up to our expectations well. The advantages of a wheel-mounted machine become evident when working in a city.

- Moving the machine is easy and significantly quieter than with a tracked machine. When needed, it can be moved quickly from one place to another. It has a small swing radius and as there is no tail swing, excavating is possible nearly everywhere. Vaselius’s Bobcat has all the necessary attachments. - The Engcon tiltrotator is a must-have attachment, making excavator works significantly more diversified. Additionally, RealMachinery installed a Dynaset street washing unit to the machine, which makes it possible to wash the street easily after excavation works. In spite of its small size, the Bobcat is also suitable for loading works. - The machine is tall enough so you can see the back of the truck and load it successfully. All in all, it is a real multipurpose machine, says Vaselius. Maintenance of the machine is entrusted to professionals. - All maintenance is carried out at RealMachinery Lempäälä and we get to concentrate on the things that we are good at while they maintain the machines. At least to us, that is the most cost-effective solution.

Popularity of machinery rentals continues to grow – RealMachineryRent
MEETS THE NEEDS OF CUSTOMERS
Over the past few years, earthmoving machinery and equipment rental has grown to be a popular and widely used service among the earthmoving contractors. RealMachineryRent offers quality brand solutions for the equipment needs of its customers.
LONG BOOM EXCAVATORS AND BIG WHEEL LOADERS NEW ARRIVALS IN OUR PRODUCT RANGE
The RealMachineryRent’s range of machinery is extensive. - We have machines and equipment for every need, all the way from vibrating plates to large excavators and wheel loaders – and everything in between. We have now been operating for over eighteen months and our customer base has welcomed our rental services really well. In addition to our offices in Kerava and Lempäälä, we also provide rental services via our offices in Kuopio and Oulu, says Goran Baricevic, the Rental Manager of RealMachineryRent’s Kerava office. Rental services cover the whole of Finland. - We rent machinery across the whole country, and, at the moment, we have rented out machines on the move all the way from Kemijärvi to Helsinki. We also offer transport services for machines to our customers at a reasonable cost, so the customer can get the desired ready-to-use machines or equipment as a 24/7 service directly to their work site. Machinery rental has quickly become more common over the past few years, and according to Barisevic the reasons for this are practical. - Yes, machinery rental is in our industry to stay. Today’s contract works are getting more diverse all the time and cover many different steps requiring the entrepreneur to be able to access various equipment. In order to win a contract, a sufficient machinery base is required, and renting is a viable way to achieve that. It is not necessarily reasonable to buy a machine of one’s own for a single work site, e.g. for tamping ground – by renting the machine you will know the exact total cost of the machine immediately and you will have a serviced and functional machine at your disposal. The use of rental services brings significant added value to operations, especially to smaller earthmoving companies. Renting is also a great solution for handling seasonal peaks. - Earthmoving works are often seasonal and thus the work piles up over the same time period. With the help of rented machines, it is possible to handle peaks quickly and cost-effectively. In this case, instalments or equipment storage do not incur any additional costs during the low season. Machine rental strongly supports the machinery sales department of RealMachinery. - Of course, renting is a sensible way of becoming familiar with a new machine/machine brand. In the beginning, renting can be considered as a test drive. If the brand appeals to you and there is enough continuous work for it, it is easy to buy a machine of your own.
At present, the RealMachineryRent’s range of machinery covers 120 different machines. Our equipment range is updated and grows at a steady pace. - At present, 95% of our equipment consists of brands we import ourselves, such as Doosan, Bobcat, Mecalac and Ammann. We update our equipment base all the time and broaden it based on customer feedback and demand. Now we offer rollers, excavators and wheel loaders as new products. - Rollers equipped with 3D devices, new long boom excavators and big wheel loaders have just become part of our product range. Our aim is to offer our customers the right machinery for all types of work. The machinery of RealRent is equipped with modern attachments. - Many work sites require 3D measuring equipment in their excavators, for example, and we provide machines equipped with Novatron 3D equipment. Our range of attachments covers all the necessary equipment, from various buckets to measuring devices and tiltrotators, lists Baricevic.
WE LISTEN TO OUR CUSTOMERS
Customer service plays an important role in rentals, too. An extensive equipment base in connection with skilled and professional personnel guarantee the best results for our customers. - Our service is flexible and we genuinely listen to our customers. We find the correct equipment and solutions together for each need, and we also improve our product range based on the feedback and wishes of our customers. At present, RealMachineryRent employs five members of staff. In addition to Baricevic, Tero Uusinoka acts as the Rental Manager in Lempäälä and Toni Vänttinen as a salesperson in Kerava. Additionally, both offices have employed rental company staff. - Jonna Sirenius, who has extensive experience as a rental worker in machinery rentals, started in Kerava and Juha Taipale in Lempäälä. They are in charge of handing over machinery, deliveries and other matters relating to rental activities. They are a great help in handling our constantly expanding machinery base, concludes Baricevic.

tors should be of the same brand. A year later we are nearing that goal. We believe that when the machines are of the same brand, things are easier for drivers and maintenance personnel. Familiar machines bring the best results. After careful consideration, we selected Doosan as our brand. - The decisive factor was most definitely the overall package. We knew that Doosan was a good brand, as it has proven to be, and the overall service package offered by RealMachinery Ltd helped us choose them. A quality brand, skilled and efficient maintenance as well as the spare parts service accompanied with the machinery rental service, which brings us huge additional value, is an effectively functioning package, says Maaranen. The location is also right. - We have a place in Lempäälä ourselves where we maintain our machines. RealMachinery is located nearby, so all the required spare parts and help are available quickly. Maaranen does business with RealMachinery salesperson Juuso Setälä. - Doing business with Juuso has been a pleasure. Things progress swiftly and efficiently. In addition to excavators, we have bought smaller machinery from them, such as buckets and attachments. RealMachinery equips the machines ready for a range of purposes. - Tiltrotators are already standard equipment, but we also need additional hydraulics, lights and measuring equipment, among other things. We get our machinery back from equipping at a suitable pace and the quality of their work is excellent.
DOOSANS ARRIVE AT THE MACHINERY COMPANY During the last year, Maaranen Oy in Lempäälä has updated its excavator base to Doosans imported by RealMachinery. The complete service package was the decisive factor in choosing the new brand.
Maaranen Oy provides earthworks services for projects of all sizes in the Pirkanmaa region. The strong construction boom in the area has also increased the workload of Maaranen Oy. - We began operating as a one-machine company five years ago and today we have nine busy excavators and a lot of other equipment, such as four of our own gravel trucks. Our operations have grown at a steady pace and the active construction business in the area in various earthworks sectors have also been great for us, explains Sami Maaranen, Maaranen Oy’s owner, who currently employs 15 employees and several sub-contractors. Maaranen has contract works at several sites in the Pirkanmaa region. The company’s first larger road project is underway in Hämeenkyrö. - We are doing the earthmoving works at the Kyröskoski intersection, such as the construction of ramps and additional lanes, along the National Road 3. Other contract works are underway in Tesoma, Härmälä and Muotiala. Sami Maaranen himself does not really have time to drive the machines and he spends his time planning the work sites. - It is not often that I have time to drive an excavator, but when I’m all stressed out, I relieve my stress by doing so. It’s the perfect way to balance all the paperwork.
REALMACHINERY RENT PROVIDES HELP IN CONTRACTING
At present, the Maaranen range of excavators covers nine machines: two 30 tonners, three 25 tonners, two 16 tonners and smaller machines. Even though they have many machines and their selection is extensive, they sometimes need additional or special machinery in their contracting works. - It doesn’t make sense to purchase all the machines ourselves. We often get contract works where we need a certain special machinery only for a period of time. Then the sensible solution is to rent the machine. RealMachinery Rent offers an extensive range of various equipment and machinery ready for work. In addition, the seasons dictate the need for additional machines. - Even at the moment, we have rented a couple of excavators to support our own equipment base. Renting also extends our range of machinery when we are bidding on a tender, and then at least winning the contract will not depend on our equipment, concludes Maaranen.
Maaranen Oy’s entrepreneur, Sami Maaranen, updates his equipment base to orange.
EQUIPMENT BASE UPDATED TO ORANGE
Over a year ago, Maaranen had many different brand machines at their disposal – now the situation is different. Most of the machines are of the same brand, Doosans. - My strong intention was that all the excava-

Matti Salminen to the RealMachinery sales team –
”FUNCTIONING WORK COMMUNITY IS BENEFICIAL FOR THE CUSTOMER” Matti Salminen, who has had an extensive career as a salesperson and sales manager of earthmoving machinery, starts as sales manager at RealMachinery at the end of March. The main reason for the transfer was RealMachinery’s strong will to develop its service concept by investing in its own personnel, too. RealMachinery grows at a steady pace and continuously recruits personnel for various roles. Earthmoving machinery sales got a top-notch reinforcement, when Matti Salminen, who has been involved in machinery sales since 2006, joined the RealMachinery team. - We got a known top expert to work with us and Matti has very similar ideas about the future of machine sales as we do. Through his experience he brings his own ideas on how to improve our operations from the point of view of our customers. If good candidates become available for different roles, we will perform precision recruitments in the future, too, says the CEO of RealMachinery Ltd, Mikko Uusi-Marttila. Salminen has worked with earthmoving machinery at Konekesko and Wihuri. Previously Salminen worked with Kobelco Center. When he realised that he was on the same page as Mikko, the decision to transfer to RealMachinery was easy. - The single most important reason for my transfer was that RealMachinery genuinely values of all its employees and also invests in them. Constant efforts are made to develop the work community and content employees also benefit the end customers. RealMachinery has understood that each piece of the puzzle is important to the end result, says Salminen. In addition to the sales manager’s tasks, for his own part Salminen gets to have an influence on and develop the operations models of the group. - Of course, sales are one of the most important factors, but we will not concentrate only on sales. Instead, we will also take into account the broader picture. Our objective is to provide a comprehensive service business, so the engagement and know-how of our personnel plays a leading role in achieving this. I myself get to participate in developing services and building team spirit, too, and I have many kinds of experiences in this from my previous roles. One factor highlighting solidarity is the Personnel Fund established last year. - All of our employees are equal. One tangible example of this is the Personnel Fund and all of our employees are part of it. It shows that RealMachinery invests in its employees and values them truly and equally. The RealMachinery group has many departments and their cooperation is of the utmost importance to us.
Matti Salminen started as Sales Manager of RealMachinery at the end of March.
- We are only at the beginning of our journey, but we are steadily heading in the right direction. We already have functioning cooperation between all our departments, such as sales, maintenance, spare parts, technical support, financing and administration. We will develop all sectors of our business all the time to be able to serve our customers better than before and to guarantee the job satisfaction of our personnel. In Salminen’s opinion, machinery sales will become even more comprehensive in the future. - Today we are not only selling machinery, but we offer a large package containing a full range of services all the way from financing to sales and aftersales services. In the future, I believe that those actors who offer the most comprehensive service business will succeed. We at the RealMachinery are already doing that, and every day we develop our operations to become even better than before, says Salminen.

HELP IN ASSET DEALS AND TRANSFERS TO THE NEXT GENERATION
- Traditional machinery sales is becoming a more comprehensive service business. The RealMachinery group is at the cutting edge of this trend, too, states Arssi Ijäs (left), the Finance Manager of RealRahoitus, and Petteri Eronen, the Aftersales Manager of RealMachinery.
RealRahoitus was established in the spring and has quickly found its place in the customer interface as a skilled and professional financial partner. Financial services complement the extensive range of RealMachinery’s services perfectly and strengthen the vision of turning traditional machinery sales into a comprehensive service business. Earlier this year, RealMachinery group recruited Arssi Ijäs, who previously worked as the Finance Manager of OP Bank and has over 25 years of experience in the field, to lead the new RealRahoitus, which specialises in corporate finance. - It was really important for us to get Arssi to join our team. He brought with him his solid know-how of financing heavy machinery, and the beginning of the RealRahoitus journey has been successful. Now, in addition to financing, we are able to offer genuinely comprehensive services for our customers, consisting of machinery and attachment sales, rental services, aftermarket services including maintenance and spare parts services, as well as an extensive partner network, among others. Now the customers get everything they need from one place, states the CEO of RealMachinery Ltd, Mikko Uusi-Marttila. Arssi Ijäs has been enjoying himself in his new job. - I was already familiar with the machinery sector from my previous job, so it was easy to get going. What attracted me the most was the opportunity to use all my own expertise and know-how in building a whole new concept from top to bottom. We are just at the beginning of our work, but we are progressing as planned and we’re developing our operations all the time. We work in close cooperation with the machinery sales of the group that supplies most of our customers at the moment – of course, we offer our services to the companies from other sectors, too, throughout Finland, says Ijäs. The financial world is in a constant state of flux. - The routines and operations models of earthmoving entrepreneurs have changed significantly during the last few years. Today’s contracts are becoming more comprehensive all the time and require many skills and a lot of equipment. Machine rental has become a viable option for this and it is also one of the services that our group provides. Then again, in financing, direct instalment loan financing and various leases are the most popular financing op-
14
tions. Our job is to find the best and most cost-effective option for the customer on a case-by-case basis. In short-term contracts it is often rental leasing, whereas in longer contracts we recommend direct instalment loan financing. The ability to understand the bigger picture and anticipate the future are key factors in the world of finance. We at RealRahoitus react to the changes in the field and the financial needs of our customers quickly and efficiently.
HELP WITH ASSET DEALS
Today, more company asset deals are concluded than ever before, and family businesses transfer their operations from one generation to the next. RealRahoitus is a skilled partner in all asset deals. - We offer expert guidance and advice for entrepreneurs. When the need arises either to sell the company or transfer it to the next generation, it is worthwhile using the services of an expert. We have extensive experience and know-how in executing business deals. For example, the transfer of a business to the next generation is a large and time-consuming project. - As a rule of thumb, it will last several years in practice. The most sensible way is to establish a new company for the next generation and transfer operations to it bit by bit. In practice, at the beginning the old company rents its machines and personnel to the new company, which is in charge of new contracts. The old company will be closed down in a sensible way. Many factors must be taken into account and implemented in such a way that new operations
and are able to guide what needs to be taken into account when planning sector-specific finances. In addition to the traditional instalment loan and lease financing, RealRahoitus also offers its customers AfterSales finance. - The aim of AfterSales finance is to update the equipment base before anything has happened. Why wait for the wear parts to break down? Constant updates keep the machinery at the work sites and costs can be divided into smaller instalments. If, however, something bigger breaks down, AfterSales finance can also cover larger garage bills, so unexpected additional costs will not constitute an insurmountable problem for operations. Contact us in all matters related to finances – we will serve you, says Ijäs.
can commence as easily as possible. The sales of the old equipment and correctly timed machinery deals make generation transfer easier. It is also important to consider various financial options and choose the right ones. On average, a project like this will last approximately five years and it must be handled in such way that the core competencies of the company are not jeopardised or interrupted - we will take care of the project and the entrepreneur their own job. It is also wise to trust the know-how of financial experts in acquisitions involving companies. - The most appropriate way to handle an acquisition is to discuss it together. We will find the best financing options by negotiating with our partners. Often even asset deals are projects lasting several years, so long-term relationships of trust between all parties are necessary. Each asset deal is different, but there are also many similarities within the earthmoving sector. We can offer options based on them and help in finishing the project.
GUIDANCE AND AFTER SALES FINANCE
With RealRahoitus, entrepreneurs also receive guidance when they are considering various financial solutions. - We think of and compare different financing options together and reflect on a company basis where the assets and resources of the company are and how it would be possible to utilise them in a better way. We bring the financial point of view in operations

SERVICE VAN
Heikki Pohjanpää is the RealMachinery Personnel Fund’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.
AN IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL SERVICE
Mikarent from Lempäälä specialises in machinery and attachment rentals and sales. In the future, the company will serve its customers with the help of a completely equipped service van. In addition, the range of rented machinery has increased. MikaRent acts, among other things, as the authorised service centre of Avant loaders and Leguan lifts in Pirkanmaa. The new service van also enables mobile maintenance. - Our service van is extensively equipped and it enables us to go and maintain Avant and Leguan products as well as perform other repairs/maintenance directly on-site. Customers are happy with our maintenance service and with the help of the service van we want to improve this service. Additionally, we have the record amount of our own rental equipment rented out at the moment, so the service van is of use there, too, tells the CEO of MikaRent, Miika-Matti Silvan. Our machine and equipment rentals are growing steadily. - There are plenty of construction projects going on in the area and there is a lot of demand for rental machinery. We have broadened our attachment and machinery product portfolio. Our newest additions are scissor lifts for indoor use and other aerial work platforms, as well as forklifts. Equipment sales are also booming. - In the spring, Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers sold very well. At the beginning of this year, Epiroc attachments came to us as new products and their sales have begun well, states Silvan.

THE FIRST YEAR OF THE PERSONNEL FUND WAS SUCCESSFUL
A year ago, RealMachinery Ltd established a Personnel Fund for its employees, through which it rewards its employees for attaining set objectives. During the first year, EUR 200,000 was disbursed to the Fund. Happy staff guarantee the best services for customers, too. We at RealMachinery work very hard to maintain and develop the motivation and team spirit of our personnel. The Personnel Fund we have established is the most visible sign of this. - RealMachinery established its own Personnel Fund for its employees (remuneration fund) by donating 5% of the company’s shares to the fund as the initial capital. The establishment of the fund meant the removal of all separate, personal remuneration methods and all employees are now on the same footing. We set different objectives for our personnel in terms of sales, security as well as cleanliness levels, and when these objectives are met, we disburse the bonuses to the remuneration fund. The first year was excellent – many of the objectives were met and the Fund received approximately EUR 200,000, which is about EUR 3,000 per employee, explains the CEO of RealMachinery Ltd, Mikko Uusi-Marttila. To supervise the Fund, the personnel chose a Board of Directors consisting of Chairman Heikki Pohjanpää and the members of the Board, Janne Ahonen and Goran Baricevic. Investments and other activities are taken care of by an outside actor, Elite Varainhoito. - The purpose of the Fund is to create financial security for our personnel. The Fund offers the possibility either to withdraw 15% of one’s own share each year or accrue the sum for the future. All permanent employees of the group automatically belong to the Fund. Remunerations are kept in the fund, and if employment is terminated, the remaining sum is paid to the employee, explains Pohjanpää. In addition to remunerations, the Fund also performs investment activities to increase its value.
19
- Elite Varainhoito is an expert in this field and takes care of all practical measures. The purpose of the Fund is to invest money at moderate risk levels, which accrues the fund share. All activities are carried out in accordance with the Act on Personnel Funds. Pohjanpää sees clear advantages in the Personnel Fund for employees. - No statutory remuneration-related costs are deducted, but the remunerations are paid to the Fund in full. No social security charges, etc. are deducted on withdrawals at any point, which brings savings of around 10%. Twenty per cent of withdrawals is always tax exempt and the rest is taxed as earned income. The Fund also builds camaraderie and team spirit. - The Fund involves the whole machinery group, so attaining set objectives requires cooperation between all the departments. This increases camaraderie and also reflects positively on our customer base. The Fund has been well received and the staff are motivated to increase the amount of remunerations further as objectives have been met.
The new Oulu premises of RealMachinery will be ready in autumn in Rusko, the heart of machinery sales.
Konetra (Kainuun Raskaskonehuolto Oy) is RealMachinery’s latest contract maintenance centre in Kajaani.
SERVICES IN NORTHERN AND EASTERN FINLAND WILL IMPROVE
premises in autumn, explains Petteri Eronen, RealMachinery Ltd’s Aftersales Manager. There is positive news from the same direction concerning our maintenance agreement and dealership services. - We got a completely new contract maintenance centre in Kajaani, Konetra (Kainuun Raskaskonehuolto Oy), which serves with the help of its skilled staff both at their premises and with the help of their service van. Our dealer in the Joensuu area, Hannun-Kone Oy, just moved to fantastic new premises on Rullakkotie.
RealMachinery invests strongly in aftersales services nationwide. Services in Northern and Eastern Finland will improve on account of our own new offices, additional personnel and our contract maintenance network.
One of the most important factors for the continuity of machinery trade is a functioning aftersales service. RealMachinery has long been developing its already high-quality aftermarket services to serve its customers even better than before. Throughout this year, we have taken big leaps forward, especially in Eastern and Northern Finland. - We have improved our own services significantly, just in our own offices. In spring, we opened a new office in Kuopio, where the start of our sales, rental and maintenance services has been successful. Additionally, our Oulu office will get completely new, modern and sufficiently large

our mechanics continue to be our priorities. At the moment, for example, we invest in the tester skills of our own mechanics, and they will convey this expertise to our partners. Close cooperation with our managers enables continuous training. In addition, the personnel of RealMachinery’s aftermarket services were reinforced when Eronen and Kristian Lylykorpi, who is in charge of maintenance agreements, got Juha Merta to help them. - Juha has much experience in this field and he is an important addition to our team. Juha acts as the person in charge of the contract maintenance network. SUPERSTRUCTURES FOR TRUCKS AND EQUIPPING FROM KERAVA The Kerava office also offers a completely new service primarily aimed at the customers of earthworks and the aerial work platform sector. - We equip and manufacture superstructures for trucks. We also provide axle modifications and crane installations for our customers. We have been providing this service from the beginning of the year and it has turned out to be an excellent and popular additional service, says foreman Jukka Lainio. We can handle the truck sector services of all brands and in superstructures – the sky is the limit. - We also design and implement tailored special solutions for customers – now we are working on a five-axle Volvo, for example, which will be used for lifting boats. In addition to the crane, it will have hydraulic boat racks for the easy loading of boats. This package is also completely tailored by us – so ask for an offer for equipping your own equipment, says Lainio.
NETWORK WILL GROW WITH AN EMPHASIS ON TRAINING PERSONNEL The contract maintenance network of RealMachinery, supported by more than ten fully equipped service vans, guarantees excellent aftermarket services for all the users of machinery imported by RealMachinery. - With Kajaani now on board, our contract maintenance network effectively covers the whole of Finland. Of course, we keep our eyes and ears open for any other potential partners – we will continue to invest in Northern Finland in the future, reveals Eronen. We will seek growth steadily without forgetting the basics. - Training and the continuous improvement of the professional skills of all

GAS CYLINDERS GET MOVED WITH HYSTER
GasPoint Ltd from Jyväskylä is a fire safety expert specialised in the sales and maintenance of fire extinguishers and gas cylinders. A reliable and functioning forklift has a big role to play in the operations of the company. GasPoint Ltd’s roots extend all the way back to 1964. The company continues the traditions of EldRex and Kaasumatti by providing high-quality fire safety services and products as well as personal service for its customers. Safety is the top priority when handling gas cylinders. - We at GasPoint value reliability, honesty and quality work above all – they are our top priorities in all our operations. We don’t cut any corners – it is important for us to do everything we promise exactly as we promise to do it, says Niko Ettanen, CEO of GasPoint Ltd. The goal of the company, which operates mainly in Central Finland, is controlled growth. - Our personnel consist of seasoned fire safety and LPG professionals. At the moment, we employ seven people and our goal is to grow in a controlled fashion in the future. GasPoint moved to its current premises at Vasarakatu 21 about three years ago. - Our premises are modern and functional and can accommodate motor caravans and mobile homes for which we perform gas apparatus repairs, installations and inspections. Our location is excellent and even larger machines are able to enter our yard to deliver gas cylinders for maintenance.
Keslift Ltd, the importer of Hyster, we considered different options for updating our forklift. Purchasing a new forklift was conditional on selling the old forklift first. Pasi sold the old forklift quickly and we received an extremely well kept used Hyster H4.0ST diesel forklift for a week’s trial. This trial ended up in us purchasing the machine. - The new forklift turned out to be just the right machine for us and it was easy to seal the deal. Things have progressed smoothly with Pasi’s help and whenever we have needed any help, we have received it quickly. The forklift was modified to meet the needs of GasPoint better, with a couple of modifications. - We wanted to have a long, two-stage mast, which provides continuous good visibility of the cargo to be moved. It is, of course, higher than a three-stage mast, but our hall is so roomy that there is enough room to work with it. Additionally, side shift forks were added to the forklift. A reliable forklift gives you confidence. - The Hyster will start up with 99.9% certainty and will work perfectly. The forklift and Keslift service make this cooperation the right choice for us, concludes Ettanen.
FORKLIFT IN AN IMPORTANT ROLE The maintenance of gas cylinders is the main service of the company. - We maintain gas cylinders for Woikoski and AGA as sub-contractors. They deliver the cylinders to us for maintenance and we put new nozzles on them and proof test each cylinder at 300 bar pressure. In this kind of work, work safety and strong expertise in the field as well as professional skills become important factors, says Ettanen. Heavy gas cylinders are always delivered on their own pallets and moving them always requires a forklift. - A forklift is an important machine for our operations. If it breaks down, we have to stop working, because there is no other way to move the cylinders safely. With the help of the forklift, we also move motor caravans and mobile homes inside for maintenance.
NEW USED FORKLIFT FROM KESLIFT In the past, GasPoint had a well-served, '74-model Hyster forklift at its disposal and when the company considered acquiring a new forklift, a change of brand was out of question. - The old Hyster worked really well and with Pasi Manninen from
The reach of the Hyster 4.0 forklift is excellent and it is possible to see out of the cab even with a full load.

HAULOTTE

In the spring, elevating platform manufacturer Haulotte presented its new all-electric Pulseo mobile elevating platform generation at the Intermat exhibition. This fully electric elevating platform is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. *See conditions in the Haulotte distribution network
RealLift Ltd imports Haulotte elevating platforms and Sales Manager Pasi Päkkilä waits eagerly for the first Pulseo models to enter the domestic market. - Pulseo is a hybrid elevating platform – fully electric, but has enough power and characteristics that make it suitable for works on even the roughest terrain. It is an excellent choice for various sectors in Finland. For example, when building a hall, the same machine is able to erect the hall and furnish it. This almost noiseless, zero-emissions machine has more applications, especially in large
public spaces. The Pulseo generation’s Pro model is imported to Finland. - The characteristics of Pulseo are top notch. At the moment, there are two models: the four-wheel steer HA20 LE PRO and the frontwheel steer HA20 LE, of which we import the Pro model to Finland. The machine’s battery package is located in the undercarriage to add stability. The machine contains its own built-in multi-voltage charger, so only photocurrent is required for charging. The batteries can be also recharged with a small integrated combustion engine
24
generator. Battery capacity is excellent. A full battery guarantees enough power for a full day’s work and several indicators display battery status. The Pro series also includes cutting-edge equipment. - The machines list the Activ’Shield Bar anti-entrapment system, the Haulotte Activ’Screen diagnostic tool, the Haulotte Activ’Lighting System, an upper control box cover, 4-wheel drive/4-wheel steer and oscillating axle as standard equipment, among other things. The machine is also suitable for the roughest terrains. - Pulseo’s driving force is generated by maintenance-free electric motors located in the wheel hubs. The machine also aims to minimise energy consumption and, if so desired, the basket can be lowered by force of gravity, says Päkkilä. The new Pulseo generation offers excellent preconditions for working. - The working height is 20.76 metres and the vertical reach is 11.91 metres. The machines are available with either a 230 kg or 350 kg basket load. The basket is fully rotational, making working in confined spaces easier. The whole package exudes the familiar Haulotte quality. - This is a technically superior machine combining performance with green values. Haulette offers a warranty of no less than five (5) years for the new Pulseo generation.

RealParts.fi takes care of the attachment sales of RealMachinery Ltd and is the forerunner of the field, especially when it comes to online stores. Now it has strengthened its product portfolio as well as its other services even further. Jari Kaski, who in charge of attachment sales at the Lempäälä office, got a new co-worker, Toni Pakarinen, who transferred from spare parts services and is now mainly in charge of procurements and acquisitions of sold products. - Toni has adjusted well to the attachment services work and suits the job very well, says Kaski. Kaski, who has significant experience with attachments, is happy to share his knowledge with others. - When someone else is genuinely interested in developing attachment services, I do my best to help them. We do this as a team and our objectives are the same.
PROFESSIONAL TOOLS
The RealParts selection covers all traditional attachments, such as buckets, vibrating plates, tiltrotators, grabs and breakers. - Our bucket sales are booming and we offer the largest stock variety in the country with all the top brands in the field, such as RF-Systems and Terästyö Salminen. Bretec’s breakers and Demarec’s demolition grabs are designed for hard work. - Demarec’s demolition grabs are a must-have attachment for various work sites. They are extremely high-quality and durable tools for professionals. We also have various size categories of
breakers. Track tools are our fastest growing segment. - We have invested heavily in our range of track tools, and our customers in the railway industry are happy with our cooperation. We provide all the necessary attachments for maintaining tracks, such as brooms and tamping devices, lists Kaski. The newest products in our attachment portfolio are fuel tanks meant for lighter use and Expander bolts, which remove unwanted clearances. - There has been a clear demand for 100-litre fuel tanks that are well suited for work sites where fuel needs to be delivered to the fourth floor of a building, for example. Tanks of that size are also suitable for refuelling boats. They are meant exclusively for fuel, which diminishes the risk of adding the wrong substance to the tank. RealParts.fi has been at the forefront of the online store sector, and Kaski sees this as a huge advantage in modern commerce. - The Internet helps us greatly. Our online store contains a truly extensive range of products, with their prices and additional information. These days, the fact is that when acquiring a product, products and prices are compared online in advance. Certain products are already bought directly from the online store and we have also our used attachments on display on our pages. We also offer flexible financing options for purchases in our online store – come and explore them!

IMPLENIA AS NORGE
PUTS THE LATEST TOOL TECHNOLOGY INTO OPERATION When Kai Granlund, Project Manager of Implenia, was seeking a suitable cutter for tunnel repair contracting, initially he did not seem to be able to find a suitable product on the market at all. - All cutters found on the market were similar – lightweight and made for just one purpose, Granlund says, summing up the situation on the market. When he found the RODO RD7 multiuse cutter, it was clear that he had found something new and different. - The robust structure of RODO and its multipurpose nature were immediate clear advantages. The only challenge was that our work site was located in Narvik, northern Norway. After a few calls and emails, thigs started to progress. - We agreed that RODO would supply the cutter equipped with a special disc for trial purposes, explains Jarno Kylander, the CEO of RODO Machinery Ltd. What was special with the disc cutter was that it could also be used in work right beside the wall. In the trial use, we cut asphalt in tunnels and everything went as expected. - The strength, durability and practicality of the RD7 became evident right away, Granlund says, and explains that after the trial, the cutter has also been used for cutting concrete. During the last five months, we have cut over three kilometres of asphalt and concrete without any problems. When cutting concrete, we have had to change the cutter picks after every 700 metres or so, and with asphalt they last even longer. At the same time, the Technical Manager of AS Norge, Jon Kaato, inspected the machine and accepted it for use by his company. - RODO’s cutters are of sturdy construction and I didn’t have the slightest doubt about their operability, states Jon, who is highly experienced in implementing and supervising various technical projects. He himself implements, among other things, the changes of main swing bearings of 400 tonne cranes and other technically demanding projects requiring special expertise.
At the beginning of July, RODO also supplied a diamond disc cutter tool for Implenia’s RD7 multiuse cutter. The cutter uses a standard 1,200 mm diamond disc for cutting concrete, asphalt or granite. - Tunnel sites are demanding and require several different tools. So the multipurpose nature of the RD7 became crystal clear for us right away. Next time, we will be using our cutter for dismantling the old concrete walls on a site where we are rebuilding an old tunnel. The use of a diamond cutter speeds up our work significantly and saves us a significant amount of money, states Granlund. Terje Hjellet has driven the cutter from the beginning. - The use of a cutter is easy to learn. You get the hang of its speed and handling after a few rounds. The most important thing is to take it easy and let the cutter do the work, Terje says. RealAuto concentrates mainly on used commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The company opened in February in Lempäälä RealPark and it has quickly found its place as a viable dealer in the area. - Business has started well and our sales are increasing. Our location in the immediate vicinity of Ideapark is a clear advantage. Additionally, since there are also other companies in the same field in the area, it is easy for our customers to make comparisons and find what they are looking for. Our vehicles also get great visibility in the search engines on the Internet and our prices are demonstrably cheap, explains the CEO of RealAuto Ltd Mika Liinamaa. RealAuto reacts to market developments, and at the moment we have 80 used cars in our selection. - The ratio of commercial vehicles to passenger cars is 50/50 at the moment and our sales are good in both sectors. Our range of passenger cars is extremely extensive – we have everything from Bentleys to family estates and compact cars. We are able to react quickly in accordance with the situation and demand, and our customers can order a car of their liking from us and we will source it for them.
Liinamaa. Today’s contractors favour larger vans registered as campers. - Their advantages are that they have room for six people, they can be driven at 70 mph with a regular category B driving licence, and they do not require a separate tachograph. The demand for campers has remained high and we have low mileage Sprinters and Transits that are in very good condition. If more load carrying capacity is required, a light-duty truck is the sensible choice then – we also sell them. We already have several ready-to-use 2+4 and 3+3 models in our selection, but from RealAuto it is also possible to acquire a fully tailored car at your disposal. - We design, implement and, if required, acquire the chassis of your choice and use it to build the correct solution just for your needs. We cooperate with top upholsterers and the quality of the work is very high. Partitions can be tailored to be where desired and the equipment grade can be decided separately for each detail. Ask for an offer or come and visit us and we’ll redesign the equipment for your company, states Liinamaa.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES FOR EVERY OCCASION RealAuto’s range of commercial vehicles covers all the top brands in several different models. - We have standard vans and 2+4- or 2+3-seat models registered as campers or medium trucks. Different sizes are also well represented and we have long and short ones as well as tall and low models, lists
