Amity Production 2022 - PeterPan

‘Peter Pan’ is such a special show for a number of reasons. It’s our first one since the pandemic and long awaited! It’s absolutely amazing to see all our talented young people on the stage again. ‘Peter Pan’ is a lively, fun show with fabulous characters and filled with catchy tunes that will get your feet tapping! It is also my first show here at Amity and it seems appropriate to celebrate my first two years with such a fantastic cast of super stars. I have had the opportunity to work alongside some truly outstanding young people and fantastic colleagues, we really have all been on a journey together.

I am often asked what it is I enjoy about school productions. Well, it’s the young people I work with and the relationships that are forged, especially watching pupils across the ages working together and supporting each other as a team. Many of our cast have grown in confidence and performing on the stage for the first time. Amity pupils are amazing! I am privileged to work with such talent and enthusiasm. Over the years I have worked with the National Theatre UK and on my masters degree in Directing Text for Young People, I have directed scores of young actors and I have to say my fabulous cast are right up there with the best.

My vision for ‘Peter Pan’ was particularly quirky and ambitious, I didn’t want traditional and twee. You are going to be in for a treat that is for sure. You will be feasting your eyes on a vibrant set, characters clothed in funky costumes and show stopping numbers that you will be clapping along to.

So sit back and enjoy. Amity is laying down the gauntlet as far as school productions are concerned in Abu Dhabi.
