WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & SPORT

IWelcome to the Term 2 Co-Curricular Activities Programme We are delighted to share with you the Term 2 CCA Programme at Amity International School. Our CCAs remain a vital part of school life, offering pupils the chance to explore interests, develop character, and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

Before looking ahead, we would like to celebrate the outstanding engagement and success of Term 1: Total number of clubs offered: 242 Total Number of Paid CCAs: 58 Total Number of Free CCAs: 184 Number of pupils involved: 1,212 (72.14% of the school) Average clubs per pupil (participants only): 3.12 Average clubs per pupil (whole school): 2.25 These figures reflect the incredible commitment of our staff and the enthusiasm of our pupils. We are proud of the breadth, quality and ambition of our programme, which continues to grow each term.

Lower Primary Provision Following parent, staff and pupil feedback, we are pleased to confirm that FS1 and FS2 will now have CCAs on both Monday and Wednesday. Year 1 and Year 2 CCAs will continue on Tuesday and Thursday, with all sign-ups completed via SOCS. Club Links Programme We are delighted to continue our Club Links Programme, strengthening our sports provision. We have official partnerships in our priority sports: PASS Football Academy (Football), Sunfire Sports (Rugby), Capital Netball (Netball), Knights Basketball (Basketball), Athletics Academy (Athletics), Storm (Swimming), and Tahadi Performance (Athletic Development). These partners will both support our free provision and offer bespoke paid sessions, ensuring quality coaching at every level.

WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & SPORT Tahadi Athletic Development Programme The Tahadi Athletic Development Programme offers a second daily slot from 4:30–5:15pm in our new world-class Youth Athletic Development Centre (Fitness Floor 2, Gate 5). These sessions are tailored for competitive sports players and focus on building the long-term athletic qualities that underpin sporting and personal success. The programme runs across the week for different age groups: Monday: U13 (Years 7–8) Tuesday: U15–U19 (Years 10–13) Wednesday: U9 (Years 3–4) Thursday: U11 (Years 5–6) In addition, Tahadi runs a daily 3:15–4:15pm programme during the first CCA slot, open to all pupils. For a preview of their work, families can view Tahadi’s Instagram (link provided).

SOCS All CCA sign-ups must be completed through SOCS. Please follow the step-by-step parent guides and videos provided on page 64-68. If you have any questions after reading through the instructions, please contact us.

CCA Bus Service Please note that all Term 1 CCA bus sign-ups are now obsolete due to changes in activities. Once allocations are confirmed, parents of registered bus users must complete the new CCA Bus Survey Form (available through BBT) within the designated timeframe to ensure their child has access to the CCA bus for Term 2.

PURPOSE OF THE CCA PROGRAMME Lower Primary & Upper Primary – Exploration Pupils are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities that foster skill development, inquiry, and discovery.

Secondary - Portfolio Secondary students are provided opportunities to showcase a developed skill or complete a project over the term, allowing them to build a portfolio of achievements and experiences.

Honours System and Celebration We are excited to implement our new Honours System at Amity, which recognises and rewards pupils who demonstrate outstanding commitment and performance within our exceptional programme.

The honours system consists of Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels for KS3, 4 and 5, with full colours for KS4 and distinction for KS5. Celebrating our pupils' achievements is integral to their growth, and we look forward to sharing this exciting programme with you. SIGN-UP PROCESS - TERM 2 Dear Parents, We are excited to announce the launch of our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme for Term 2 of the 2025/26 academic year. A wide range of CCAs are available, ensuring a fresh sign-up process at the start of each term. Please be aware of the following information.

Lunchtime CCAs – NO SIGN-UP required for Upper Primary Pupils. Pupils will be provided with a wide range of recreational activities to do at lunch time and are free to explore different CCAs at their own desire. SIGN-UP is required through the SOCS Platform for Secondary Pupils.

Afterschool CCAs – SIGN-UP WILL BE REQUIRED THROUGH THE SOCS PLATFORM. SOCS works on a 'preference based' system enabling pupils to select their preferred options.

The afterschool programme has a range of school provided and 'paid' activities.

FS1 (Nursery)

FS1 will have the opportunity to join a range of paid CCAs on Mondays & Wednesdays (13.40 to 14.40). This is optional, and parents can sign up using the SOCS platform.

FS2 (Reception)

FS2 will have the opportunity to join a range of paid CCAs on Mondays & Wednesdays (13.40 to 14.40). This is optional, and parents can sign up using the SOCS platform.

Year 1 & 2

CCAs for Year 1 & 2 will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays Afterschool (15.15 to 16.15). Parents will be required to sign up for both 'Paid Provision' and 'Free Provision' using SOCS.

Year 3 - Year 6

CCAs will take place daily at lunch and after school. Parents will be required to sign-up their children using SOCS for After-School CCAs Only.

Year 7 - Year 13

CCAs will take place daily at lunch and after school. Pupils and/or Parents will be required to sign-up their children using SOCS for both Lunchtime and Afterschool CCAs.

SIGN-UP PROCESS - TERM 2 In order to ensure the sign-up process is fair, we will use a PREFERENCE-BASED system NOT a first come, first served process. This means that you can take time to discuss and select the activities of interest to your child, and the SOCS algorithm will randomly allocate places. If your child is unsuccessful with their first choice, they will hopefully receive their second or third option. You only need to select activities that your child is interested in. If they do not wish to participate in an activity, please leave this option blank.

A creative space for writers of all levels to explore, refine, and elevate their poetic voice. Through writing challenges, and deep dives into poetic forms, members will learn the craft, share their work, and grow together in a supportive, inspiring community.

Students will be challenged to take ownership of a STEM project in small teams or individually. Students will be aiming to achieve the Silver CREST award as part of the CCA. Silver Awards are designed to stretch students and enrich their STEM studies.

Whether investigating one of the suggested projects or their own project idea (requires approval), students plan and direct their own project, gaining in-depth experience of the scientific method design process.

One-time payment for whole year for those student submitting their project to receive the CREST Award.

Builds confidence and independence on the water. Covers rigging, basic sailing techniques (upwind, downwind), essential safety skills, and rules of the road. By completion, sailors can sail independently in light winds on all points of sail. SOCS PLATFORM: THE ALL-INCLUSIVE CO-CURRICULAR PLATFORM

Moving into Term 2 we continue our partnership with SOCS, the world’s leading co-curricular platform, designed to enhance the experience for pupils, parents, and staff. SOCS brings together a range of modules that integrate our school calendar, co-curricular programme, trips and visits, and sports fixtures into one easy-to-use system.

The first step for parents and pupils is to complete the initial login, with instructions provided on the following page. For new parents and pupils (secondary only) account activation is required. These instructions have also been sent as a separate PDF for ease of access.

Parents should use the primary email address registered with the school. Pupils in Year 7 and above can log in using their school email account. While the process is straightforward, if you experience any difficulties, please contact clubs@amityabudhabi.ae for support during the sign-up process.

If you do not intend on using the CCA programme on a particular day you DO NOT need to make any preferences. Preferences should only be made for days you intend on participating.

CCA BUS SERVICE: REGISTERED BUS USERS ONLY CCA Bus Service Please note that Term 1 CCA bus registrations are no longer valid. The service will begin on 5th January, and pupils’ places in CCAs will not be affected if they are unable to attend during Week 1 while the bus lists are being finalized. Accuracy is essential, and BBT requires time to collate the lists.

Registration: Registration for the Term 2 CCA bus service will open following the release of CCA allocations. BBT will email parents with the registration link.

Deadline: Registration closes on Friday 21st December 2025.

Service Start Date: The CCA bus service will commence from Monday 5th January, for registered pupils only.

Changes or New Registrations: Requests must be made at least two days in advance of the desired start or change date. Unregistered pupils will not be permitted to board the CCA bus.

Important Changes: Due to updated ITC legislation, the ‘near drop-off’ option is no longer available. As a result, the CCA bus schedule will change, and only buses able to return to school by 4:15pm following the 3:00pm service will operate.

This service remains complimentary, provided by our partners at BBT at no cost to families, and very few schools are able to offer such provision. Please be aware that, as this service is dependent on legislation, it could be withdrawn in the future.

Please note: The CCA bus is only available to existing, registered bus users in Years 1–13. Pupils in FS1–2 are not eligible, as their CCAs take place during the school day.
