Term 1 sign-up instructions

I am pleased to inform you that we will now using SchoolsBuddy to manage our CCA programme here at Amity. This system will enable you to sign-up your children for activities and provide a clear channel of communication, as well as a personalised weekly diary.

For those few externally provided activities which incur an additional cost, the online payment function will simplify this process. Please note, there will be no paid activities with external providers until after half term. There will be a separate sign-up for this at a later date, and you will be notified in due course.

Term 1 CCAs:

Year Groups

FS1, FS2, Year 1

Year 2 to Year 6

Year 7 to Year 12 Sign-up Arrangements

Pupils will take part in a rotation of activities during the school day. There will be no activities after 15.00 and you are not required to register your children for these CCAs. Parents will be required to sign-up their children using SchoolsBuddy.

Pupils and/or parents can sign-up using SchoolsBuddy.

You will receive an email soon, which will ask you to register your account and create an individual password. This will be followed by a confirmation email and instructions on how to download the SchoolsBuddy app.

In order to ensure the sign-up process is fair, we will not be operating a first come, first served system. The sign-up will be open between the times listed below and it will be preference based. This means that you can select up to three CCAs per day, and the SchoolsBuddy algorithm will randomly allocate places. If your child is unsuccessful with their first choice, they will hopefully receive their second or third option.

• Monday 13th September: sign-up opens at 18.00. You will not be able to see the available CCAs in

SchoolsBuddy until this time. • Friday 17th September: sign-up closes at 18.00. • Saturday 18th September : you will receive an email by 18.00 with the final allocations. This will inform you of the CCAs in which your child was selected, and those where they were unsuccessful. • Sunday 19th September : CCAs begin.
