SCHOLARSHIP

SCHOLARSHIPS Amity International School invites talented and enthusiastic pupils to apply for Academic, Art, Performing Arts and Sport Scholarships. Our Amity Scholarship Programme rewards excellence and celebrates extraordinary potential, and our scholars benefit from outstanding enrichment opportunities up to the value of AED 15.000 per child.

The benefits of being an Amity scholar ‘Inspiring excellence’ is one of the four founding values of our community at Amity; beyond the classroom, one of the ways we try to foster excellence is through our Scholarship Programme which, through a series of talks, workshops, trips and coaching opportunities, fuels our students’ curiosity, creativity and aspiration. It is a flourishing project, with 34 students aged 10-14 currently holding Academic, Art, Sports and Performing Arts Scholarships. Students awarded Scholarships receive the following benefits: Exclusive, ‘invitation-only’ access to a programme of talks, workshops and trips Bespoke courses to develop skills (sourced from outside providers, including EtonX) Support developing a portfolio of skills and achievement An Inauguration Ceremony All scholars’ awards are displayed on the Scholarship Honours Board Regular review and target-setting meetings with the Director of Scholarship to drive progress Please note that the Scholarship Award is not a financial award; being awarded a Scholarship does not automatically result in fee reduction.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS Students who are awarded an Academic Scholarship are expected to maintain a consistently high academic standard, demonstrate initiative and show leadership in the classroom and beyond it. Over and above the high academic expectations we have of all our students, we expect Academic Scholars to: Have an unquenchable thirst and enthusiasm for learning across the school Be resourceful about the different ways of acquiring, analysing and exploring knowledge Be well-organised and time-efficient Be reflective in their learning Show resilience and independence, as well as willingness to collaborative with others Achieve the highest possible standards in their classwork, homework and examination (internal and external) performance during their time in the School Attend all Scholars’ events including lectures, presentations and other activities Attend and participate in other academic CCAs. All Scholarships are subject to annual review.
