As an athlete, she is determined, hard working, and strives to make a difference wherever she can on the field. Sophia is coachable and does all of the little things that on a team make a big difference for its success. She supports herteammates and always has a positive attitude. Sophia has demonstrated her ability to balance school, lacrosse, family and friends. She does it by being proactive, and making sure she communicates her conflicts ahead of time with all of the stakeholders. She is independent and self-sufficient. She thrives on hard work, and knows the importance that the “team first” mentality plays in the success of any team.

“I have observed Sophia as not just as a stellar athlete but also as a leader for the club team. Sophia brings energy and passion to every lacrosse practice, game, and tryout. She continues to impress the coaches from playing with consistency, heart, and determination. As a goalie, it is important to be a leader of not only the defense, but the entire team. Sophia has stepped into this role with great humility and has gained a lot of trust from her coaches and teammates. One of the most incredible qualities of Sophia is her ability to be coached. She takes any form of feedback with complete acceptance. Not only is Sophia an important part of our team athletically, but her positive presence on the team is contagious and sets the tone for the team. Her personality thrives in a team environment, which I feel has shaped her into the incredible goalie and athlete she is. In all, Sophia exhibits all of the most important qualities it takes to be successful in life, as well as to be successful in the sport of lacrosse.
