Reflection For assignment 2, we were asked to analyze the layout of our existing kitchen and toilet. This was to ensure that we had a better understanding of the building service systems. Throughout the assignment duration, I started to notice the faulty aspects of the built-in cabinets as well as the drainage system. I referred to the UBBL and learnt about the correct ways for a kitchen layout and a lot of them were not met. This was a realization that struck during my tutorials as I discussed my layout with Ms.Norjie. She was extremely helpful as she taught me that certain aspects of the kitchen was not done right, to which I had originally not given a thought about. I learnt that there were minor design elements with higher significance in terms of building kitchen cabinets and installing fixtures. However, this gave me an opportunity to visualize a new layout for the kitchen while following the UBBL. I now have a better understanding of the detailing that goes into the technical drawings. Moreover, I learnt the importance of having technical drawings while building furnitures and cabinets as there goes a lot more into building furniture than just putting them all together like a puzzle. Moving forward, in the future, I will be more considerate with people who "would be working" after me as I now know the significance of my work/design and the details of it that follows!

Reflection

Assignment 3 was directly linked to the project that we were working on in IAD4. My project is based on a new concept for a fish market and the requirements for this module was to create 2D drawings of the 3D market that I was designing. While doing the 2D drawings, I understood the significance of just the basic 2D drawings were, when it comes to building the 3D model for the project. The basis on the project relies on the technical drawings. When it came to the technical drawings this time, it was much different to the previous projects in comparison. Through this project, I learnt many new things such as setting out plan and the importance of providing legends. These details, though minor, carries the 2D drawings on their back. It's an absurd way of describing it, but comparatively, that is what comes close to it. Skill-wise, assignment 3 was fairly easier to put together, though somehow consumed the most amount of time as it had to be quite detailed. I believe that I have made improvements when it comes to my skills as I am now more aware of what I draw and what I add in to a space with the knowledge I gained from Assignment 1 & 2 including the UBBL. I will put the knowledge I received during this module to good use and hopefully will be able to make better and more efficient designs in the future!

E-Portfolio Reflection Overall when it comes to real-life construction drawings, I learnt that there are many types of drawings. As an interior designer, I understand that there are numerous types of drawings that I need to keep in mind for the real-life work experience. These technical drawings include setting-out plans, furniture layout plans, reflected ceiling plans as well as floor finishes plans, sections and elevations. It is extremely important to keep the details within these drawing in check as that would be the pillar for a certain project coming to life. I have made it through the module with great help of Ms.Aziah and Ms.Norjie. With their guidance and knowledge, I truly believe that my skills in AutoCAD has most definitely improved in comparison to my last semester as I got more opportunities to explore the types of drawings that I made and the set of skills required to make these technical drawings. I would also like to thank my partner, Alson who was assigned to me for my BQ task as he helped me through the making of my BQ. He also commented on certain drawings that I had made and helped me improve and detail them up for the final submission. I'm very grateful! This module has taught me a lot and i look forward to putting my aquired knowledge to future projects! As for the
