Welcome to Fairfax County Public Schools

On behalf of Fairfax County Public Schools we want to welcome you 2022 Virginia High School League Patriot District Wrestling Tournament being held at James Robinson Jr. Secondary School. Wrestling is one of the states oldest high school interscholastic activities and this tournament annually brings together the some of the best wrestlers in the State. This year is no exception; everyone has worked very hard this season to make this another marquee event and we appreciate the support demonstrated by your attendance. High school interscholastic athletics is a true laboratory for learning, practicing and evaluating skills in goal setting, self discipline, hard work and self control. National studies repeatedly report that participation in athletics is a key indicator of success later in life. Your participation either on the mat or in the stands is truly appreciated. Thank you to the athletes and parents for the time and effort put into making this a successful season. Thank you coaches, administrators and certified athletic trainers who help guide young athletes. And thank you to all the spectators whose attendance is so critical to the success of these programs. We would also like to give special recognition and thanks to the staff of Robinson Secondary School and to the Virginia High School League for the time and effort they have put into organizing and hosting this year’s event. To all participants, wrestlers, coaches, cheerleaders, we extend to you our best wishes for a safe and successful tournament. To our spectators and guests, cheer loudly and loyally and in a manner that best represents your school, your community and for high school sports.
