Amesbury School Brand Guidelines

BRAND NARRATIVE AMESBURY’S PURPOSE At Amesbury we believe that happy children are the key to academic success. We offer a warm and nurturing environment. Pupils benefit from small classes and superb facilities, and passionate, committed teachers who help them achieve excellent results. It’s also about giving children the opportunity to experience new activities, and find new talents. Also important are life skills, friendships and instilling strong values. Our goal is to encourage pupils to be well-mannered, considerate, and kind, so that they can become confident, motivated young adults wellprepared to thrive and manage what lies ahead.

The school is a trailblazer for managing children’s emotional and mental wellbeing, with a dedicated mental health and wellbeing leader.

Recently the mental health and wellbeing of young people has come under increasing scrutiny due to the pressures of online and digital life, which can negatively impact them. These challenges are compounded by existing pressures relating to school, friendships, and overall wellbeing. Supporting wellbeing is key to ensuring happy children who will learn and have a great school experience.

NARRATIVE Amesbury’s brand narrative reflects the ideal that we want children to have an all round great time at school, embracing the latest idealogies whilst the 150+ years plus of heritage are reflected in our brand and imagery. Amesbury is traditional yet modern and approachable.

Why do we have two brand marks or logos?

Amesbury is a place in Wiltshire, in a digitally orientated world calling yourself after a geographical location is confusing. We have a primary brand mark to ground us, the secondary brandmark remains because it would be exhaustive to rebrand everything.
