WHAT'SYOURFAVORITEMEMORYFROMTHISYEAR?
It was definitely moving to Canada for the first time it was such a stressful yet exciting experience, and I had no idea what to expect, but I got used to it way faster than I expected to! It really brought out the true versatility and resilience in me :)
WHAT'SONETHINGYOULEARNEDTHISYEAR—INSIDEOROUTSIDETHECLASSROOM?
It was mainly that living alone can be a challenge, but I’m super grateful that I got the opportunity to live alone and start being more independent this early in life If there’s one thing I would say, it is that: learn to live with yourself before you think of living with someone else. Sitting alone gives you clarity and lets you think really think, perhaps about things you don’t want to, but when you face it that’s when you finally find peace. Befriend yourself before you befriend others, be considerate of your surroundings, work on your inner self, do the right thing, live selflessly, and reflect on who you are Living a fulfilling life and being the right person actually takes a lot of effort, and mastering it will more often than not take a lifetime The decision to move here was a difficult yet important one
GIVEASHOUTOUT!WHOMADEYOURAMERIGOEXPERIENCEBETTER?
Art club, off-site trips! It was definitely the staff members and faculty in my school They all were really nice and welcoming, and they made my experience a bit less scary and much more bearable. I loved our conversations.

Education extends far beyond academics. It is about helping students navigate the world, discover who they are, and grow into the remarkable people we know they can become. Being a small part of that journey is both a privilege and one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

A STUDENT I WON'T FORGET THIS YEAR!
One student who has made a lasting impression on me is Selina Xu One of my favorite memories with her was during a community service project where we painted a mural at a local elementary school
Although Selina is a talented artist, she was initially nervous about working on such a large scale Instead of letting that fear stop her, she embraced the challenge with creativity and confidence Watching her grow through this experience reminded me that education is about more than developing skills it is about building confidence and helping students discover their own potential.
MY PROUDEST COACHING MOMENT!
One student success story that I am especially proud to have been a part of involved helping three students prepare for baseball tryouts. For two weeks, we practiced fundamentals, ran drills, and built confidence through batting, catching, and throwing exercises, including time at the batting cages for extra practice
What impressed me most was their commitment They showed up ready to work, pushed themselves to improve, and supported one another throughout the process Their hard work paid off when all three earned spots on the baseball team Seeing their excitement and sense of accomplishment was incredibly rewarding and a reminder of what students can achieve through dedication and perseverance.
One of the biggest moments for me this year was graduation! We had SIX students who have attended BMHS for all four years of high school. They all graduated with honors and will be attending great universities next year! It’s been such a privilege to watch them grow up and support them in reaching their goals.

Some of my favorite memories as an RA at Amerigo LA were during our Friday game nights. It was always special to watch students transcend language and cultural differences through games, revealing their personalities, competitive spirit, and genuine joy in being part of a community.

Team LA! Always ready to support our BMHS students academically and emotionally. We are there for our students 24 hours a day, taking care of them like parents, guiding them as mentors, listening to their issues, acting as big brothers and sisters and being friends.
