The Shorthorn Youth Development Fund Board is excited about the offerings in this live online auction on May 20. We appreciate the support of our many donors for offering elite genetics and unique donations to make this sale a success. The SYDF was established in 2020 as a way to raise funds for the National Junior Shorthorn Show. It takes more than $400,000 to put on the NJSS and it wouldn’t be possible without donations and sponsors. This auction has something for everyone between NJSS lots, genetic lots and more. Covered Tie Out pens at the 2026 NJSS provide a comfortable and convenient option for tying out cattle during the event. Lots ‘A’ are 34’x25’ and Lot ‘B’ are 46’x25’.
Lots labeled “B” are equipped with automatic waterers, while lots labeled “A” do not include automatic waterers. Odd-numbered lots will have access to water from nearby RV hookups with a provideded hose. Additional water access is available in select areas within the barn stalling area. Power will be provided by the facility.
Each pen will be bedded before arrival to provide approximately 8 inches of bedding, once spread by purchaser. These pens are ALL on dirt. With covered shade and open sides to allow for airflow, these tieouts offer an excellent way to keep cattle comfortable overnight. If you wish to divide the pen into smaller areas, you must provide your own panels. Pens will only be created as described.

Horse Stall Tie Out spaces provide another convenient option for tying out cattle during the 2026 NJSS. Each space measures 10’ x 10’ and includes one entry gate. It is recommended for one animal. Water access is available along the outside edges of the barns, and power is available throughout the barn. However, generators are also recommended to help ensure consistent power access. This barn is completely open-sided, allowing for excellent airflow.. Each pen will be bedded to approximately 10 to 12 inches deep prior to arrival for all purchasers. These spaces offer a great combination of cover, ventilation, and comfort for cattle throughout the week. All extra pens will be locked and not available for use.

Two people will experience 5 hours of incredible crappie fishing on Lake Fork guided by Walker Smith, The Slab Battalion Crappie Guide Service.
Located on the Sabine River in Hopkins, Rains and Wood Counties, 5 miles northwest of Quitman, Lake Fork has a surface area 27,264 acres and maximum depth of 70 feet. The lake is filled with submerged pond dams, old roads, and intentionally left standing timber, offering excellent, challenging structural fishing.
Lake Fork is a premier Texas crappie fishery, offering excellent, year-round action, especially in standing timber and under the lake’s numerous bridges. Crappie anglers concentrate their efforts in deep water near the dam during the winter months. In late spring and early fall, most anglers fish for crappie under the bridges (Highway 154, Highway 515, CR 2946 and CR 514). Live minnows and crappie jigs are among the most popular baits used. The extra spacing between sites allows room to park a vehicle and set up your area comfortably. Please note that RV spaces with sewer hookups are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All auction RV spaces come equipped with sewer.
Each lot includes 3 RV spaces so you have plenty of space to park (you wouldn’t need the VIP parking!)
Only ONE RV allowed per Lot. The additional space is to allow you room to spend the week comfortably. You will only have to pay nightly fees for the one space of the RV that is hooked up. This purchase reserves the RV space location only. Exhibitors are still responsible for paying the facility’s nightly RV fee of $55/night separately.
