An attempt for the revival of a glorious street of the past


Vadakara is a coastal town in Kozhikode district. Vadakara has a large portion of agricultural land and various water bodies including distributaries and canals. Vadakara beholds a glorious rich past.

The name is derived from the local agricultural produce- Arecanuts. Nut street is the local market area which developed due to the ideal location to transport via road and closeness to the agricultural land. This street is laden with shops selling various agriculture goods including Coconuts, Arecanuts, and Spice.
