VISIONARY DONORS TO OUR GIFT OF LOVE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN In October 2019, the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center launched its Gift of Love capital campaign, the largest campaign in AMC’s 111-year history. The response to our request for support has been overwhelming. With a shared belief in AMC’s mission and an understanding that change is essential to retaining our leadership role in veterinary medicine, many donors responded generously to our request for support. This generosity has allowed us to begin work on the addition of more than 11,000 square feet of new space and the renovation of more than 26,000 square feet of existing interior clinical and client space. Most importantly, this expansion and renovation will ensure that AMC can continue providing the best possible care to our patients, while opening new possibilities for clinical research and creating an optimal environment for AMC’s residency and internship programs. We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support from those who have contributed to the campaign thus far and are delighted to honor them at tonight’s Top Dog celebration. Sadie stayed with Brian’s family while he went through the recovery process at a rehabilitation facility. Brian and Sadie FaceTimed many times during the recovery process. Upon Brian’s discharge, arrangements were made to have their reunion in the parking lot of the rehabilitation facility. Sadie could not contain her excitement at being reunited with Brian. It was clear that Brian felt the very same way. There was not a dry eye in the crowd of people celebrating the happy reunion.

Nearly 32 years ago, our golden retriever Salem first came to the Animal Medical Center to be treated for hip dysplasia. The surgeries succeeded beyond our dreams. Salem started us on our journey with AMC, and has been on our minds and in our hearts since. We have felt her presence as our dogs Mabel and Dixie, and Calvin-the-Cat received exceptional care by the AMC family over the ensuing years.
