Ben McAdams

Because of COVID-19, our children are spending more time online than ever before. As a parent, I know the threat to our kids from online predators. I’ve pushed technology companies for better parental tools, such as an app rating system similar to the movie and video game ratings. I also passed a bill to fight child exploitation and sex trafficking. Illicit actors engaged in human and drug trafficking use ‘dark markets’ to finance and hide their horrific activities and profits. We need to identify, disrupt and prosecute these financial networks to stop these abhorrent crimes.

I am honored to serve as Utah’s independent voice in Washington. I am ranked as the second most independent member of Congress nationwide. I put people before party and principle above politics. I am a seventh generation Utahn, raised on values of faith, family and duty to community. I was taught that it is important to give back to the community, which is one reason I chose public service. Washington D.C. has become even more divisive than I thought it would be when I was first elected. In contrast, Utah is a place where we listen to different points of view and then come together to bridge our differences. I took my approach of working across the aisle to Congress. I’m proud to receive the first-ever Jefferson-Hamilton Award for Bipartisanship from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for my work to build relationships and find bipartisan solutions to issues facing Utah families. I’m endorsed by the U.S. Chamber in this race. I have worked to pass bipartisan legislation that lowers insurance premiums, protects coverage for pre-existing conditions, reduces prescription drug costs and caps seniors’ out-of-pocket medical expenses. In addition, my efforts have been focused on preventing suicide, improving our air quality, and supporting local community efforts to combat opioid abuse.

US HOUSE DISTRICT 4

I have three issues that I talk with voters about this election season. The ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis requires a laser focus on keeping Utah families safe and providing critical relief to keep the economy afloat. I’ve supported emergency relief for individuals, families, small businesses, hospitals, community health centers, schools and food banks. I have been a strong voice for openness and accountability on how we spend taxpayer dollars. I led the effort to have federal departments show us where our tax dollars are going and to make sure that deserving Utah small businesses received what they and their hard-working employees need.

When I learned that the Trump Administration had plans to restart explosive nuclear weapons testing in our backyard, alarm bells went off. Utahns still suffer illness and death from past decades of testing and thousands have received compensation for cancer caused by exposure to deadly radioactive fallout. We know that the government lied during that era. They told us it was safe when they knew we were at risk. Utahns paid a high price for trusting the government before. I blocked funding for test site preparations and weapons testing in an annual defense bill. I’m proud to be a bridge builder and a unifying leader, but I’m not afraid to stand on my own if that is what is in the best interest of Utah’s hard-working families. That’s who I am and who I’ll continue to be if I’m re-elected to Congress.

I’m Congressman Chris Stewart. During my eight years in congress, a lot has changed. I’ve seen an uphill battle in national security, mental health, religious liberty and national discord. Fortunately, we have a great nation and I’m certain we’ll rise to every challenge. Im proud to have served my country for 14 years as an Air force pilot. For me and my family, these years were some of the best of our lives. Now, as senior member of the House Intelligence Committee, I continue to support and defend our U.S. Military and national security.

Recently, I was asked to serve on the China Task force. This group is fighting to counteract the Chinese Communist party and oversee congressional strategy regarding China. But some of the most important work I do is here at home. I’ve wrote the legislation creating the national suicide prevention hotline. This bi-partisan legislation, creating the 988 hotline number, will save thousands of lives. I think this may be one of the most significant things I may do while in Congress. I’ve had other legislative success as well; Wild horse management funding, Salt flats

restoration, support for our soldiers, bringing home our war dogs, support to rural hospitals, and protecting religious freedom. America is exceptional. While some people only focus on our faults, history has proven that America is good. We defend the defenseless, give aid to the disenfranchised, and always try to rise above our mistakes. My family’s creed is Duty…Honor…Service. This is what my wife, Evie, and I have tried to teach our six children and 12 grandchildren. It’s been a privilege to be your Congressman, protecting and serving the people of Utah, and I ask for your vote in November.

of leadership, service, empathy, courage, and ethics. Serving as a bridge builder in war zones gave me the skills to serve the people of Utah’s 2nd Congressional district.

Kael Weston for Utah’s 2nd Congressional District My name is Kael Weston. I am the Democratic nominee in Utah’s 2nd congressional district, seeking to represent residents across all fourteen counties, regardless of political party. This election is crucial for all of us. Our politics are failing our people, particularly the most vulnerable among us. I believe we can be better.

I have driven my 17-year old truck across all 14 CD2 counties numerous times, covering over 5,000 miles. I met Utahns who hope that civility returns to politics, along with honor and accountability. I met families worried about healthcare coverage, and small business owners who need government support to survive the current crisis. I met young people who fear for the future of the planet and older Utahns who wonder what happened to the dignity of our political past. I met residents across the district concerned with issues of social justice and equality.

I am not a traditional candidate. Right now I make my living as a writer and teacher. I often spend the evening grading papers written by the Marines I teach at Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia. Perhaps most critical to the job I’m applying for today, I had the great honor of officially representing our country for over a decade with the U.S. State Department. I’m a trained diplomat. I began my career as the U.S. representative on the UN Security Council’s Al Qaeda/Taliban Sanctions Committee then as a member of the Iraq Team of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. After 9/11 I was asked to serve in Iraq, as State Department Political Adviser to a dozen Marine commanding generals. I was responsible for rebuilding Fallujah’s infrastructure, facilitating the return of hundreds of thousands, establishing a new city council despite numerous assassinations of local politicians. I worked alongside Marine leaders and Iraqi officials to rebuild a city leveled by war. After Iraq I was again asked to serve, this time in eastern Afghanistan’s Khost Province. My role there included prioritizing over $50 million dollars in U.S. reconstruction funds and working to reintegrate former Taliban fighters with U.S. military leaders and Khost’s Afghan governor. I met with former Guantanamo Prison detainees and helped lead political engagement with Afghan tribal and religious leaders. Later, in Helmand Province, I worked directly with a Marine commanding general during the troop surge that doubled forces to almost 20,000. For my service in Fallujah, Iraq, I was given the State Department’s Award for Heroism. I was almost killed numerous times in both wars, including surviving a suicide car bomb attack in Khost, Taliban machine gun rounds hitting a mud wall a few feet away, insurgent RPGs overhead, not to mention many loud bullets whizzing nearby. Despite these close calls, I did not carry a weapon. . . just a lot of notebooks. Too many of my Iraqi and Afghan friends, as well as friends in the U.S. military, did not survive. I still think of them: Abbas, Hamza, Najm, Kamal, Khudairi, Sami, Ibraheem, Qadir, Fassal, Jamal, Ryan, Nick, Trevor, Rick, Bill, RCH, and 30 particular Marines and a Navy Corpsman.

US HOUSE DISTRICT 2

Getting shot at has a way of illuminating what's important: people. After the wars, having spent more time in a war zone than any other State Department official, I came back to Utah. I came home to family, to Rockies and red rock where my roots are strongest. I moved to Springdale and wrote about my experience, asking hard questions about how the wars will be remembered. That book, The Mirror Test: America at War in Iraq and Afghanistan (Knopf 2016), was honored as a New York Times Editors’ Choice and Military Times’ Best Book of the Year. A bit more about me and my Utah roots. My ancestors, poor Danish immigrant farmers and pioneers, came to Utah with not a lot of money but high hopes. While I grew up in Northern Utah, my parents are Milford High graduates. One grandfather was with Union Pacific for over 40 years out of Milford’s depot. Another, a WWII veteran, owned Milford’s furniture store for decades. My uncle, Chad Johnson, enlisted out of high school and served in Vietnam (like my dad did) then returned home to Beaver County and became a popular Democratic county commissioner. My mom taught grade school for three decades. Grandma Enid ran the finances of grandpa's store. Aunt Joyce married a politician—and still voted for him. I know southern Utah because it is in my DNA. As is the tragic story of downwinders—the Department of Justice recently notified my dad of his downwinder status, his cancer likely tied to nuclear testing. Which brings us back to government. My seven years in two wars taught me that bad policy hurts people. Sometimes it gets them killed. Representing our country gave me a unique perspective on the crucial importance

And there are issues I believe bring us together as Utahns and Americans: working towards affordable and accessible health care for all; protecting the U.S. Postal Service and making sure small town post offices stay open; ensuring no more nuclear testing; increasing bandwidth and job opportunities in rural counties so young people can stay if they wish; and creating environmental protections that safeguard Utah’s majestic landscapes and limited water resources, while honoring the lives and livelihoods of those who call that land home. One of the biggest challenges we face as a nation we brought on ourselves: division within. Governing is about helping people. How we get there is a debate, and it should be a debate of ideas conducted in good faith, to find solutions that work for everyone. It does not mean demonizing those with different viewpoints. Being an American means valuing the diversity of ideas that is our birthright. The magnitude of the public health and economic crises we face are a direct result of public servants who have not put people first. None of us want to be where we are. It is going to take all of us working together to rebuild our economy and make sure our country does not leave anyone behind.

We can do better. Honestly, my time in Iraq and Afghanistan was harder than running for Congress, but I believe this is one of the most important things I will ever do. Helping make peace between former Taliban fighters in Afghanistan and Iraqi insurgents and the U.S. military has prepared me well to bring our people together. I am asking for your vote on November 3rd. We need accountability and ethics in Congress. We need a willingness to represent the forgotten people of Utah. We need serious leadership for serious times. We will be the United States of America again—indivisible.

Chris Peterson Chris Peterson is a business law professor at the University of Utah and a former senior official at the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the U.S. Department of Defense. A fifthgeneration Utahn, his Great, Great Grandfather John Taylor led a wagon train of 1500 pioneers to Utah in 1847. Peterson was born and raised in a single-parent household by his disabled mother in West Valley City. After the financial crisis of 2008, Peterson went to Washington, D.C., to help build the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau—a federal agency dedicated to ensuring banks and other financial businesses treat customers fairly. Peterson’s team stopped illegal, deceptive practices by Wall Street banks, payday lenders, and debt collection agencies, returning nearly $12 billion in restitution to Americans. Peterson also worked at the Department of Defense, where he helped lead the Pentagon’s efforts to protect military service members from predatory lending. As a result, he received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Award for Excellence for his efforts on behalf of military families. Peterson is known for promoting honesty, fair practices, and reasonable safeguards for the public. If elected, he will govern with integrity, teamwork, and transparency. He will focus on solutions that matter to Utah families instead of privileged insiders or party elites. Peterson will work as a bipartisan leader to improve public education, reduce air pollution, keep taxes low, promote affordable health care, and create goodpaying jobs.

back on track. When a natural disaster strikes—be it a flood or a viral pandemic— Utahns must put aside their differences, come together in a spirit of community service, and act decisively to protect our state.

Peterson’s lieutenant governor running mate, Karina Brown, was an original cosponsor of the successful 2018 Medicaid expansion ballot measure that leveraged Utahns’ federal tax dollars to give access to health care for over 100,000 low-income Utahns. She is president of the Cache County Friends of the Children's Justice Center Board, a Nibley City Planning Commissioner, and the cofounder of the Cache Valley United for Change, an organization dedicated to promoting civic engagement. UTAH STATE GOVERNOR

• Restoring balance to Utah government and protecting ballot propositions. In 2018, Utahns voted for expanding Medicaid, medical marijuana prescribed by a doctor, and fair legislative boundaries, only to have their decisions undermined by legislators who thought they know better than voters. This happened again with the food tax. State politicians knew the public was against increasing the food tax but did it anyway, before finally backing down after a referendum gathered enough signatures for the ballot. Peterson will respect the will of the people, protect the propositions, and oppose any food tax.  • Promoting practical solutions and prudent stewardship of tax dollars. Utah’s biggest challenges—including affordable health care, quality public education, and environmental stewardship—can best be addressed through teamwork. All Utahns benefit from access to quality healthcare they can afford, a stronger public education system through increased funding, and clean air to breathe. Peterson will consult with experts and members of the public Utahns alike and work across the aisle to find solutions in the best interest of the public.

Since being appointed in 2013 and re-elected in 2016, I have vigilantly watched over Utah to protect our children, families, natural resources, and laws. If re-elected in November, my priorities for the next four years will continue to be: 1) to maintain the highest standards of integrity and legal excellence; 2) keep all Utahns safe from violent criminals, including drug cartels, human traffickers, and elder abusers; 3) protect our families and economy from white collar and cyber criminals; 4) defend Utah from federal overreach and threats such as the opioid epidemic and suicide; 5) preserve civil liberties, public lands, and empower veterans with the critical resources they often lack.

Trent Staggs Trent is running for Salt Lake County Mayor because residents are not getting the results they deserve. Taxes were raised this year by $16 million, spending is up by 50% in the last five years, and in many cases service levels have decreased. The County Mayor's office has seen millions of dollars in increase with six full-time, highly paid deputy mayors, along with several other increases in general fund expenditures. Our budget is now larger than Clark County, home to Las Vegas, yet we have half their population. Salt Lake County spends 2x-3x more per person than neighboring Davis & Utah Counties. We are on a fiscally irresponsible path and we need an experienced business leader to right the ship. As an innovative business leader and city mayor, Trent has the experience needed to get our county back on track and lead our economic recovery from the effects of COVID-19. Trent is the current Mayor of Riverton where he has built a reputation as a leader that has cut taxes and spending by millions of dollars, improved service levels and listens to residents. He plans to bring that same approach to Salt Lake County. No matter party affiliation or political beliefs, Trent always listens and thoughtfully considers

Trent grew up in a large family of 9 siblings, attended Bingham High School and worked his way through college, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah focusing his studies in political science and economics. He later earned an MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Professionally, Trent has demonstrated the leadership necessary to run both successful start-up and Fortune 500 organizations for almost 20 years. He currently works on the advisory board of a publicly traded company, managing an operational unit in Utah. Trent and his wife Alisha have been married for 10 years and have two children. He is the only candidate with a real plan for tough issues such as air quality, traffic, homelessness, the opioid crisis, criminal justice reform, affordable housing, mental health, our canyons, and more. See Trent's specific plans at TrentStaggs.com/issues.

Trent's focus is on Salt Lake County. He believes it is important to get away from the divisive nature of national politics and unite Salt Lake County residents, Democrat, Republican, and anything in between, around the bread and butter issues that make life better for those who live here.

Laurie Stringham As a current elected official, I have been involved in advocating on behalf of my community for needed improvements. I am working with community leaders who have put together a visioning study to properly prepare for growth in the county and I support the plan that was put together by a coalition of Mayors. It is time for a councilperson that understands issues for the whole county, not only catering to Salt Lake City. We need a voice of someone who has been active in Salt Lake County for over 20 years. I am elected to the Board of Trustees of the Kearns Oquirrh Recreation and Parks District which operates the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center and owns the Utah Olympic Oval. During my 21 years serving on the board I have worked tirelessly to keep taxes and fees low, develop community services, improve community physical and mental health and wellness, and oversee a responsible and transparent service district. I also helped to bring the world to our community during the 2002 Winter Olympics, the most successful Winter Games to date. I will do the same for Salt Lake County and the amazing communities and cities that make up the Salt Lake Valley. A Utah native, I was born and raised in Sandy and chose to raise my five children in Kearns. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah in Theater, specializing in Technical Theater. I am a business owner, Utah educator currently teaching at Skyline High School, preserver of Arts, Youth Sports and Recreation, and an advocate for those who do not have a voice. As your County Council Representative, my top priorities will include: Fiscal Responsibility: Taxes have consistently gone up in Salt Lake County and the budget has increased 65% from 2014 to 2019, while the population has only increased by 6%. We can do better. I pledge to lead by example, bringing the county back in control by identifying wasteful spending, innovating and finding unique solutions. As elected officials we have the responsibility to be efficient and meet the needs of the people we serve without overburdening them. I have saved taxpayers thousands of dollars by innovating government on the Westside. I have kept property taxes and fees lower than anywhere else in Salt Lake County while providing more services and facilities. I also spearheaded and oversaw a $13.5 million dollar expansion that was paid for before the first shovel went into the ground. The project was not paid for by raising taxes or fees but was a creative collaboration between several governmental entities, interlocal agreements, private business, charitable organizations, and the public. Sustainable Growth: Growth can be good, but we need a plan. A plan that balances the need for adequate housing, infrastructure, air quality, decreasing traffic, preserving open space, and finally solving our homelessness crisis in Utah. County government should work together with cities to understand development issues,

foresee problems, and advocate on their behalf to ensure adequate infrastructure, open space preservation and needed improvements to their local communities. Part of why I'm running is to make sure that projects like Olympia Hills aren't rushed through the approval process against concerns of neighboring residents. Community Empowerment: I understand that problems are only solved from bottom-up collaboration, not top-down direction and will ensure that every community will have a seat at the table. Hundreds of millions of our sales tax dollars are controlled by a select few at the county level, resulting in far fewer opportunities for many cities and organizations. Through creative restructuring and local administration, services would be more abundant, less costly, have more oversight and ultimately bring better value and service to residents. I will continue to empower communities to do what works best for them, help them find the resources and make sure their voice is heard. That is the type of leadership we need in Salt Lake County.

SALT LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL AT-LARGE Wasatch Canyons: Salt Lake County is blessed to have beautiful canyons in our mountain landscape. These canyons are enjoyed by millions of residents and tourists alike. We must take care of them. Unfortunately, our canyons are at extreme risk for catastrophic wildfires, avalanches, and mudslides. Our canyons are plagued with congestion due to the lack of available entrances and exits out. Because our canyons are faced with natural disasters, it is imperative that we mitigate and solve the issues. It will take leadership from the County Mayor and County Council to work closely with the state to acquire the funding, review current studies and implement the solutions that will preserve our canyons and keep them safe. Traffic and Environment Salt Lake County contains one-third of the state’s population and accounts for the majority of Utah’s business activity. We have a responsibility to take care of our air. Our air quality is substantially affected by congestion. Utah is growing, and most of that growth is in Salt Lake County. Our population is projected to double over the next few decades. We need to prepare now for that growth. Our highways should never become parking lots and our daily commute should be quick and safe. We need to increase the availability of public transportation to increase ridership and to decrease the number of cars on the road. We also need to complete critical infrastructures. Implementing smarter plans will control our county’s traffic issues, resulting in better air quality for our residents. PUBLIC SAFETY Public safety is the number one responsibility of government. It is imperative that we keep our neighborhoods safe and decrease crime. Reforms should be designed to promote public safety, support our public servants, and look for places where change is needed in order to support our very diverse populations. To improve public safety, we must reform our criminal justice system. No one who has committed a crime should become a repeat offender. Our system must prioritize rehabilitation over punishment to reduce recidivism and make our streets safer. When someone enters the criminal justice system, that moment should be the beginning of their personal transformation. Dr. David Alvord In 2013, Dave was elected Mayor of South Jordan City. His accomplishments include paying off the debt at Mulligans Golf, lowering property taxes, and strengthening and retaining good police officers by improving their pay schedule. Dave now wants to do the same for Salt Lake County. Here are Dave’s ideas in his own words: WEST SIDE EQUALIZATION “As Mayor, I witnessed the East Side get more than its fair share of county investment. My first job, if elected, is to shine a light on this problem and to help the West Side get more funding for parks, roads, and other projects. After all, we all pay our share of taxes. My experience as mayor gave me the experience to know which funds to watch and fight for the West Side.” LOWER COUNTY TAXES “In recent years, Salt Lake County has raised your property taxes, and grown its budget immensely. As Mayor of South Jordan, I was able to lower taxes twice. We did it by slowing the hiring of full-time employees and saying no to frivolous pet-projects and waste. Salt Lake County does a lot right, but needs to constrain its mission to avoid things that cities do better and more efficiently. There are many services that the county provides

SALT LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL 2

which can be redirected or eliminated, leaving more money in your pocket. Economic liberty is essential.” STANDING WITH POLICE “America is being reminded that systemic racism still exists in our midst. We can and must do better on this effort. I pledge to stamp out racism in our county government wherever it is discovered. That said, we can do this without yielding our cities and neighborhoods to lawlessness and riots. It’s wrong to expect our officers to shoulder all the blame of the actions of the few. We cannot allow them to be abused verbally or physically. I will stand with the brave men and women who protect us every day.” WEST SIDE RECREATION “The Oquirrh Mountains have a great potential for recreation. If we can develop more trails on the West Side, it will allow us to enjoy the great outdoors without having to travel so far. This can reduce traffic congestion, and will simply make life in Salt Lake County better! I am proud to announce a partnership with Utah mountain bikers and work is already commencing on a trail network in Butterfield canyon.” FINAL THOUGHTS “The West Side of our Valley is awesome. It has been my privilege to travel to each

city and speak to people from Magna, West Valley, Copperton, Kearns, South Jordan, Riverton, and Herriman. I know your cities well and want to work hard for you. It’s truly time for the West Side to stand. We have greater population and opportunity than ever before. I will fight for the West Side!”

Thank you for a Primary win of 56%! As a 27-year resident of Salt Lake County, there is no place I would rather call home. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Utah and work part time at Canyons School District. My husband is a first responder and we have two children that attend public school in Sandy. My family and I are avid skiers and regulars at Snowbird. I am also a trail runner and love the open spaces in my district. As your Councilmember, my priorities will include: • Cutting Taxes/Prudent Budgets The County budget is BLOATED and has grown a whopping 65% in just 6 years and now tops $1.5 billion. I did not support this year’s 7.8% property tax increase, government has a tendency to grow and I believe we need to look at ways to cut back. • Public Safety/Support First Responders Salt Lake County residents must feel safe in their homes

and neighborhoods. Our children must be safe while at school. Public safety is my number one priority and supporting our first responders is essential to accomplish this. • Open Space/Quality of Life I am an advocate for our open spaces and regional treasures. I am passionate about keeping Quail Hollow Park natural, maintaining our Corner Canyon trails and keeping Dimple Dell wild. In addition, I will look for ways to improve transportation and water quality in our canyons. I ask for your vote in November. www.VoteTheodore.com VoteTheodore1@gmail.com

SALT LAKE COUNTY ASSESSOR

I have worked in the Salt Lake County Assessor’s office for over 12 years. I have a Bachelor degree in Accounting and I am a Certified General Appraiser. I have spent my years in the Assessor’s office in numerous positions, working my way up through the ranks in the Commercial valuation area. I understand valuation issues facing the county. I also understand the issues and concerns of my fellow employees. I am a collaborative and inclusive leader. I believe the best ideas come from those doing the job! I advocate for employees and will do so for taxpayers as well. I intend to have more public outreach. Not many people know who the Assessor is, nor do they understand how what the Assessor does affects them. I would like to help taxpayers understand how the system works and what to do if they believe their property

has been valued incorrectly. I want to have positive open communication: in the office, throughout the county, with other municipalities and with the public. I will also strive for more transparency in the way that valuation is done. It is time for a Fresh Perspective in leadership in the Assessor's office. I was born and raised in Salt Lake County and currently live in West Valley City. I feel incredibly lucky to have the support of my family, my amazing husband Rich and our sons, Xander and Keenan.

SALT LAKE COUNTY RECORDER

I am Rashelle Hobbs and I am honored to be your Salt Lake County Recorder. I’m also a lifelong Salt Lake County resident, a wife and mom of two kids. In fact, our children attend the same elementary school as their father did 40 years ago, and someone who cares about the strength of our neighborhoods. And that’s especially true in this most challenging year. At the Recorder’s Office, we work daily to protect our neighborhoods, by ensuring the safety and accuracy of your home and property records. Every recording and transaction we do matters. That’s why as Recorder, I’ve set new standards for accuracy and consistency so that we get every detail of your transaction right. I also created Property Watch, a free, online service that alerts you by email to any changes in your property records — like liens or reconveyance deeds — so that you’re protected from costly errors and fraud. During the COVID-19 health crisis, the Recorder’s Office has remained open, so that family and business transactions could move forward without disruption, even in the face of a considerable challenge.

RASHELLE’S LEADERSHIP AND EXPERIENCE WORK FOR YOU!

Through it all, we have also raised annual revenues to more than $13 million, allowing the Recorder’s Office to return $7 million to the Salt Lake County Council for use in funding other critical public services. I am proud of my leadership and record of service as Salt Lake County’s Recorder. I have worked hard to restore integrity to the office by earning your trust through fiscally responsible service that exceeds expectations and protects your interests.

Rashelle is protecting the title to your home with the new free service, Property Watch.

Buying a home is a momentous event in our lives. Rashelle believes her office should make it as easy as possible.

Rashelle is fiscally responsible. Her office is completely funded by user fees, not tax dollars. This year her office will contribute $7 million dollars to the County’s general fund, reducing the property tax burden on homeowners.

I would be honored to earn your vote on Nov. 3, so that I can continue protecting your property record. Email: Rashelle@RashelleforRecorder.com Website: rashelleforrecorder.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/ RashelleforRecorder

Kelly Miles I was born and raised a stone’s throw from where I currently live. I was educated here, went to college and grad school here, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University and a JD/MBA from the University of Utah. I never had a question in my mind that I would put down my roots in the community that I love. I married Linda, the love of my life, and raised my two daughters and two sons here. I am immensely proud of all my kids and now find myself with the greatest title of all Grandpa! Ever since Linda and I first settled down here, I started into my law practice, initially taking on the Weber County public defender contract. Since that time, I have

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 11 moved into handling estate planning, wills and trusts, probate and estate settlement. My community involvement includes serving as Chair of the McKay-Dee Hospital Board, Member of the Board for both the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weber-Davis and the OgdenWeber Technical College Foundation. In 2016, I was elected to serve you in the Utah House of Representatives. I first ran for office because I wanted to shape the policy that affects us on a daily basis. I have been lucky enough to find a set of principles to guide me and my family toward fulfilling lives. Those principles include love, compassion, and personal responsibility. I weigh those principles heavily in every vote I cast in the legislature, and will continue to do so if re-elected. I think if we implement those principles in our policymaking, we enable people to live their lives to the fullest, free of coercion or over-regulation. While I fully believe this state is the best place to live, I sometimes worry about its future Not so much for my children but for my grandchildren. Will they be able to breathe clean air, will they struggle with mental illness, will they be able to worship according to the dictates of their own conscience? Will they be able to afford higher education, get

jobs, or afford a home? I want to fight with every fiber of my being to yield a life of opportunity for my kids and grandkids, and yours, too. We should focus on governing within the confines of the US Constitution, especially when it comes to Religious Freedom and Second Amendment Rights. We need to protect parental rights, rights of the unborn, and parent choice in education. We should also work to bolster our education system, providing students and teachers with the support they deserve. I understand education from an up-close perspective, as my wife Linda was a public school teacher for 35 years, and just retired earlier this year. I will continue to keep my pledge to fight for you every day in office. If you have ideas, I want to hear them. Serving you has been the greatest honor of my life - except for the times I get a handmade drawing from my grandkids - and I hope to continue serving you.

Tab Uno INTRODUCTION Hello. My hopes and prayers are with each of you during these perilous times. But there is also promise, compassion, and even sanity that we can bring back to our communities and our state government. My name is Tab Lyn Uno; and I would like the honor of representing the residents of West Point, Clinton, Sunset, and a portion of Clearfield at our Utah House of Representatives. Having lived in Clearfield for over twenty years and having visited every home in House District 13 at least five times since March 2018, I have come to learn about the “real” concerns that matter to residents of House District 13 directly from people like yourselves. BIOGRAPHY I was born in Salt Lake City in 1955 and lived practically my entire life in Utah, then married and moved to Clearfield in 1999. I received my two Masters Degrees, one in Public Administration (1986) and the other in Social Work (2002), from the University of Utah. I completed a 267-page Masters Thesis on “political representation;” and now I want to begin the important undertaking of actually representing you at our State Legislature while being responsive to you and your interests. I worked and volunteered for nearly twenty years in a multitude of local, county, educational and community agencies in Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber Counties helping low-moderate income

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 13 residents, the elderly, students, and various local neighborhood residents. I have worked for over a decade as a licensed clinical social worker helping adults, couples, children, and inmates contending with various psychological and social pressures, many similar to what most of us are now facing today with COVID-19. I will bring the most experience and qualifications of any Utah House 13 candidate seeking to represent you to our State Legislature. COMMUNITY CONCERNS  • I will work tirelessly to direct hundreds of millions of dollars going to Salt Lake and Utah Counties back to Northern Utah to address the urgent transportation needs in our own communities.  • Public Education. I will work to authorize teachers and parents to hire and fire their own school principals and develop their own school curriculum to meet our state educational goals.  • State Legislature Reform. I will work to carry out what the residents want from their legislators and implement the referendums and initiatives they, the voters, pass.  • Health Care. I will work to reduce your health care costs by expanding preventive medical care to everyone in order to save taxpayer dollars as well as expanding free and convenient COVID-19 testing to everyone who wants the reassurance of

their own health status and protect their families and neighbors.  • State Tax Reform. I will work to actually reduce your taxes by focusing on making our state tax system more “fair” for those earning under a million dollars a year. CONTACT INFORMATION: Together, we can take back our government. I am available to answer your questions or begin to work on your concerns. (Legislative Scorecard). We are responsible for the voting record of our elected officials.

Dear Friends, I have worked in Utah politics for over a decade. I served as the Communications Director for the Utah Republican Party and as communications consultant & fundraiser for several GOP races. In 2016, I worked on President Trump's campaign – it was a career highlight! I am the past President of the Utah Republican Latino Coalition & former member of the Utah Republican Party State Central Committee. It has been an honor to serve Utah for over ten years. Now, I want to continue serving by representing you in House District 32. If elected, I will respectfully work with the Governor, his cabinet, and House leadership to be an effective leader, trusted colleague, & authentic voice of my constituents. Our world has been turned upside by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of us have experienced or know someone who has experienced job loss, sickness, or worse. While the past several months have been plagued by fear and stress, I believe that these trials and tribulations have made us stronger. Families have grown closer, and we have adapted to a "new normal" within a COVID world. That is what we do as Utahns. When the going gets tough, we come together, we support each other, and we make changes to solve problems. In House District 32, we have identified a problem that needs to be resolved. The current Democrat representative of House District 32 does not adequately reflect our constituents. I am pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-school choice, and pro-law enforcement. The current Democrat representative's voting record does not adequately represent most people's values in our district. As a fellow constituent, voter, and candidate for House District 32, I believe each of us needs to research our current representatives to see how their votes reflect and compare with our own beliefs and principles. Some candidates are great at knocking on doors

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 32

House District 32 needs a proven leader & bridgebuilder. I believe that I am that representative. I will work with elected officials at every level on viable solutions such as protecting an unborn child's life, building our economy, protecting our communities, supporting our law enforcement, and protecting our second amendment rights. There are no onesize-fits-all answers, but in working together, we can accomplish great things. What I Stand For:  • I believe in God. I believe in religious freedom.  • Pro-Life. I believe in the sanctity of life.  • Pro-Police. I defend and stand with law enforcement.  • Pro-Education. I support choice in education.  • Limited government, limited taxes, and equal rights for all.  • I oppose illegal immigration.  • I support the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

and pouring on the sugar. My advice to you - buyer beware. It is essential to research, research, research before you cast your ballot. While I do not yet have a voting record, my Democrat opponent does. My promise to you once elected is that my voting record will reflect the views of House District 32. This link https://utahtaxpayers.org/ 9112-2/ reflects the voting record of the Democrat representative for House District 32, she ranks #75 on the scorecard – last on key tax related bills. What I Intend to Do:  • Involve you in the process.  • Make no excuses.  • Keep you informed. I look forward to serving the constituents of House District 32. Craig Hall My name is Representative Craig Hall. I have lived in West Valley for 33 years. One of my greatest desires is to keep West Valley a wonderful place to live, work, go to school, and raise a family. My wife, Rebecca, and I have been married 23 years and we have four wonderful children, ages 19, 17, 15 and 11. It has truly been an honor to be your representative. As I continue to interact with West Valley residents, three concerns are consistently raised. These concerns have been, and will continue to be, my priorities.  • West Side Representation As a 33-year resident of West Valley, I am keenly aware how the West Side is sometimes overlooked, or even ignored, by state or county leaders. I have a record of voting for what is right for West Valley and getting things done for those who live on the West Side. In doing so, I have been identified as one of the “most effective” legislators on Capitol Hill.  • Education Quality With all my school-aged children attending West Side public schools, nothing means more to me than a great education for our children. We must provide teachers the resources they need

Fatima Dirie

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 33 to meet the increased demands of our growing population. I have sponsored legislation to strengthen West Side schools, and was recognized by the Salt Lake Tribune as one whose “top issue” is public education.  • Economic Development We must promote policies that incentivize job creation and attract companies to our state and community. I have received overwhelming support from groups that represent working families, and have been named as a “Business Champion” by the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. I take pride in being accessible and listening to all points of view. As I have reached across party lines to find practical results to help our community, I have been identified by the Salt Lake Tribune as “refreshing” and a “healthy” . . . “example of bipartisanship.” I humbly ask for your vote this upcoming election. I’m a former small business owner, a single working mother, and an experienced negotiator and leader. I moved to Utah when my first granddaughter was born, so I could be in her life and be closer to my son. I’ve lived in West Jordan for 16 years. As the first female Utah Business Manager for working families with LiUNA!, the Laborers’ International Union of North America, I negotiated to assure good wages, secure benefits, and better working conditions.

Responsible for our financial records and reports, I ensured we spent our money wisely and efficiently. As a trustee, I made sure our members received the best benefit plans and investment options. For eleven years, I developed more work opportunities for our members and served as their spokesperson at the Capitol. I’m running for office because I know how hard it is to support a working family. We need elected leaders who represent all of us and not just a select few. I’m an advocate for secure jobs and strong, healthy communities. I’m your neighbor and with your support I’ll bring my determination, drive and dedication to our state capitol.

Andrew Stoddard

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 44

I am running for re-election in House District 44. My priority as a representative is building better communities. I have deep roots here; I grew up in the valley, attending high school at Brighton High. I’ve served this community throughout the years working in its schools, watched over it as Chair of the Midvale Community Council, defended its streets as a Murray City Prosecutor, and have had the privilege of representing its members for the past two years. I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of Utah and my law degree at Brigham Young University. I've worked in various positions in education, and gained experience volunteering and working for agencies dealing with criminal justice, including the Utah Crime Victims Clinic, Rocky Mountain Innocence Project, and now Murray City. My wife works as a high school counselor. She grew up in the valley as well and we have been married for twelve years. Ten years ago we moved into this district, and we chose to stay and raise our four boys here.

I’ve seen first hand how education and safety impact the entire community. In my two years as a representative, I passed legislation helping domestic violence and sexual assault victims, protecting our schools, protecting consumers, and helping our first responders. We can continue to work together in upholding these priorities up at Capitol Hill. I know this community — and I’m ready to get to work on the issues that matter to us so we can reach our full potential.

Jaren Davis As I seek public office, my sense of community deepens in meeting with the residents of District 46. I have knocked on countless doors and made late-night calls. In every circumstance, I have gained a greater appreciation of our community. Collectively, we are diverse and unique in many ways, yet share similar hopes and ideals. I sense that our greatest desire is to live peacefully in the safety of our homes and neighborhoods. We care about our environment wanting clean air, water, and wish to protect our critical lands. No matter our age, we want each child to receive a quality education. We love the outdoors, seeking ways to ensure adequate parks and recreation so individuals and families can build memories as we maintain active lifestyles. Employment is important, wanting diversity in opportunity so that job satisfaction is achievable and our children can find meaningful work. We understand the necessity for government taxing but expect the burden to be limited to essential services providing for needs the open market can’t achieve alone. I share these ideals, having benefited from living in Utah nearly my entire life where these qualities have existed. Through experiencing the joys of being a grandparent, my sense of duty is magnified, and I carry a burning desire to lend my experience in service so that we can pass our Utah

UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 46 traditions on to the next generations. It is a critical time in our history; we need strong, experienced, and capable leaders who can match their life experiences with the desires of their constituents. I support our police, firefighters, and hold faith in our justice system. I advocate for equality, knowing we learn from our past. That we aren’t perfect, but our founding believed we could form a more perfect Union together. I have found solutions to difficult problems; we need to clean our air, but never learn how those running may help. For example, I will advocate for less reliance on vehicle traffic— improving PM 2.5 particulate disruption, which is the cause of heart and lung disease, and frustrates those who have difficulty breathing. I have preserved over 60,000 acres of critical land and am just beginning. By building a healthy economy, we are better able to fund education and provide the individual needs for satisfactory employment. Having run various business ventures, I know the value of limited government and how a healthy economy creates opportunity. I served eight years leading the state parks board and understand how we can maintain our enjoyment of our great outdoors while protecting the delicacy of nature. My support is vast and diverse. I sincerely appreciate those individuals and groups who are out actively working on my behalf. Should I be blessed with the confidence of

my community, I will serve with my heart by listening to and advocating for our needs. It is our time to enjoy the benefits of a representative who mirrors our ideals and can advocate effectively. I ask for your vote.

House District 46 IMAGINE THE DIFFERENCE WE WILL MAKE TOGETHER If you are looking for a representative who truly cares, look no further! With a lifetime of experience volunteering for our communities, I will advocate for our needs effectively in the Utah House.

I have real world experiences, been challenged personally and professionally, and I’m passionate about our community and Utah. For the last 18 years we have witnessed extraordinary growth. My family is impacted by increased housing and higher education costs, traffic congestion, poor air quality and mental health, having lost our son Chandler to suicide in June 2017. I've advocated for mental health initiatives including Suicide Awareness and Prevention programs at the local and state levels working with organizations, cities, school districts and mental health and public health providers. Professional Experience: My professional experience in business and tax will lend a voice for our citizens in any tax reform legislation proposed. During my 20+ years in tax, accounting and business management, I've seen first hand and I value how entrepreneurs and small business drive innovation, opportunities and jobs here in Utah. I worked for companies in Utah including Skullcandy, Goal Zero, Fusion-io, FranklinCovey and Caldera. Early in my career, I worked for the Internal Revenue Service and James &Co. Business Advisors & CPAs.
