OUR MISSION Ambrose University prepares men and women for wise, joyful and redemptive engagement in the church, society and the created order through excellent Christian post-secondary education.

VISION Ambrose University is a community of transformative Christian higher education – with a vision for the welfare of our city and our world.

OUR VALUES Christian Faith We believe that Christ is the centre of what we do. We are ecumenically minded, broadly evangelical, and rooted in the holiness traditions of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada and the Church of the Nazarene Canada.

Pursuing Excellence We encourage intellectual curiosity, promoting conversations about difficult issues that are marked by both courage and charity. We provide high-quality education as well as cocurricular experiences pursuing excellence in all that we do.

Holistic Formation We assert that Ambrose is a place where students develop virtues, grow in character, acquire life skills, and prepare for future vocations.

This Donor Impact Report celebrates what God has done through your generosity and partnership. Together, we are equipping a new generation to live with wisdom and joy, serving Christ in the church and in society.

Because of your support, students are experiencing excellent instruction in the classroom, discovering their callings, and stepping courageously into their future vocations. Faculty are mentoring with excellence and compassion. Programs are expanding their reach and relevance. Lives are being transformed through a holistic student experience. It is all possible because you have chosen to invest in this mission.

COMMUNITY REPORT The support of our broader Ambrose community continues to make a meaningful difference across our campus. Below you will find some of the key moments from the 2024-25 year that demonstrate how your giving has helped shape the Ambrose experience:

August Golf Tournament The 2024 Golf Tournament and online auction was sold out in all sponsorship areas raising over $80,000.

Our academic deans and faculty participated at many holes, with the Ambrose Jazz band performing at the banquet, bringing the Ambrose community together to support the event.

September School of Business Building Opens A major milestone was reached with the opening of a brand-new facility for the School of Business, expanding opportunities for teaching, learning, and community connection.

October Presidential Installation Ambrose celebrated the installation of its fifth president, Rev. Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo, marking a new chapter of leadership and vision.

November Alumni Paul Harvey Pitches Business to Dragons’ Den Paul Harvey ( ’14) pitched his company, Mobile Escape, on the hit TV show Dragons’ Den, showcasing the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Ambrose alumni.

February Strengthened Partnership with the Church of the Nazarene Canada Ambrose deepened its long-standing relationship with the Church of the Nazarene Canada through the introduction of the Modular Course of Study, now offered at Ambrose.

March Pastors Conference Over 140 pastors and ministry leaders gathered on campus for the annual Pastors Conference – a time of encouragement, learning, and spiritual renewal.

May Graduation This year marked one of the largest graduating classes in Ambrose history and the successful transition to celebrating all graduates in a single ceremony at First Alliance Church.

On the Road with the President Throughout the year, President Ashlin-Mayo travelled across the country, meeting with alumni and faithful supporters who continue to invest in the mission of Ambrose.

Ambrose Faculty Member Exposes Seafood Mislabeling in Calgary Dr. Matthew Morris, Associate Professor of Biology, published impactful research on seafood mislabeling in Calgary, Alberta, collaborating with Ambrose alumna Morgan Kwan and researchers from the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University.
