The Omega Story
Omega Construction began in 1975 with one man’s vision of providing innovative construction solutions and building strong, lasting relationships. The motto ‘We Build Trust’ was adopted and fostered, and continues to be a guiding force today. Building a foundation of trust allows us to connect with our clients, employees, and partners in a way that adds undeniable value to our relationships.
Under Paul Covington’s leadership, Omega’s primary focus was in the commercial, industrial, multi-family, educational, and religious markets. In the mid-90s Omega relocated from King, North Carolina to Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, and in 2012 merged with team members from John S. Clark. Growing from a team of ten to thirty-five, Omega’s focus shifted to include commercial, industrial, religious, education, and retail markets.
Shortly after the merger, Omega signed its largest contract to date, a $50 million design-build industrial project for Caesarstone in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Omega opened a secondary office in Savannah, Georgia in 2016 and the years following rebranded with a new logo reflecting both the evolution of the company and its vision for the future. The pyramid design symbolizes strength, innovation, and durability while reinforcing the guiding principle of building a foundation of trust.
In 2018, as revenue increased to $100 million and to support its continued growth, Omega moved its corporate office to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2021, Omega hired additional team members to support its continued growth and added its eleventh state license while revenue reached its highest level to date at more than $200 million. In 2022 Omega continued to add to its team, including opening an office in Greenville, South Carolina, while it’s revenue doubled to over $400 million.
