WELCOME This is my first season at the Edinburgh Playhouse since taking over the role of General Manager and it is fair to say I am extremely excited and honoured to become part of such an experienced team, in such a prestigious venue, set in the most beautiful of cities.

Our Christmas will be an absolute cracker with the musical comedy Hairspray starring Michael Ball and Monkees legend Micky Dolenz.

THE EDINBURGH PLAYHOUSE STAGE EXPERIENCE 2011 Stage Experience is a two week theatrical workshop for young people aged 10 – 21 years culminating in three performances of a musical production. The 2011 Stage Experience will take place from 16th to 30th July 2011.

Auditions for around 150 stage roles, orchestra and behind-the-scenes positions will take place in the spring. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for local youngsters to work closely with a team of theatre professionals in the UK’s largest theatre.
