When I began this magazine, I was so overwhelmed because with all business ventures, you just never know if its going to really work the way you envision it. This digital magazine has been by far, the most time consuming and complicated thing I’ve ever done. From the very beginning, I centered my vision around selecting the best people to be apart of my team, because it’s the team work that makes the dream work!

With a project like this, things are bound to go wrong --- schedules conflicted, from models to photographers, fashion designers assigned and replaced, stories misaligned, and despite those inevitable disasters; like all good things, pressure builds progress. This first issue of Amb Mag represents the long nights, the dedication, the progress of the millennial generation.

I would never be able to fully take the credit for pulling this together, because it would truly be impossible. I did this with a team, a team that I hope to build and grow with. There’s no doubt that I’m a movement by myself, on my own, but with the right people around me, that’s how I got this done. So many late nights, random emails, early morning texts, re arranged meetings, changes, and yes we pushed the release date back a million times! I got so upset because there were times where I was like I’m ready to launch, I don’t care about the kinks, and that just wasn’t the plan.

All in all, this is an issue, the first of many to come, dedicated to millennials and focusing on the upcoming talent and visionaries of the future. I want this to be a vessel for those who want to inspire and make the future greater than we imagine and desire.

Last but not least I want to close this letter with a thanks: first to the great, Delo Brown, who rocked when the issue was a thought of a vision, Billy Ware, the photographer I rescheduled with a good twenty times to fit everyone’s schedules and he accommodated each reschedule with ease. I have to give the creative vision execution thanks to my graphic designer Christon Stewart, who pushed through with every follow up and edit; I told her my vision one time and from that meeting forward she has produced nothing but results and I’ve loved her professionalism and work ethnic. Also, I want to thank all of the businesses that trusted me with their brands and allowed the magazine to be a promotional outlet for their ad spaces.

Last but not least I want to thank my incredible grandmother, without her wisdom and prayers I don’t where I would be, and of course she gave me my mother, who I want to thank as well for every business venture I had, that she supported 100%, for all of the days where I thought about giving up and she was a voice of reason to push me to no limit of success.

I just hope that if nothing else, Amb Mag inspires everyone to live their best life and truly take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself! Enjoy!

SEXTING 101

Let’s be real. Everyone wants to be in a prominent relationship and have a significant other. (Especially during the spring season to get ready for baecation season.) Now sometimes you are just going to end up single for the spring and summer, which is completely okay, whether it’s a bad break up or you just need some space. But we are here to ease the tension and discuss ways to ultimately spice up your sex life by sexting, that lucky partner or spring fling!

With these tips and tricks your bound to keep it fun for your mate or even score jackpot and get a new fling sparked.

First, were going to discuss sexting, mainly because it’s something to get into especially with your mate.

Sexting has been around for the last decade, and it’s definitely on the top of our list as a relationship builder and works to keep things fun and sexy as well.

There is actually an art to sexting for men and women. Women have natural sexiness and kinkiness that appeals to men anyways; but when men take that initiative and mix dirty words and how they want things done in the bedroom it just sparks a flame that gets things hot and heavy in the bedroom. (I want you to do this, while I do this; creating a sexual quid pro quo conversation where you both are doing something you don’t usually do to get something in return.)

The most popular form of sexting is when you create a whole scenario of what you want to do to your partner or

Last but not least, you will certainly have those selfish sexting situations where you just really want your partner to know, like hey I want you in the worst way find any way to leave school or work for this quickie. These texts are straight to the point and meant to get your partner aroused, hot and heavy all in one. (I want you in the worst way, I need you to grab and kiss me right now, where are you.)

The point of sexting is to make your partner long for that hug, kiss, and touch that you guys are going to get to, but conversing about it makes the anticipation so much more rewarding when you guys are finally back together. Here’s the best advice when it comes to a everyday look; keeping it simple and cute for a night on the town, cozy date night with a boo, or a everyday work look is quite simple. Add mascara, lipstick, a light coating of foundation and top it off with a dab of color for the eye shadow. The best beauty tip that can help achieve this look would be to go in thinking simplicity thinking about and visualizing using the least amount of product; and then creating a “Oh I have on make up”, but not too much or just enough for you to tell but also focus on my natural beauty”, with this look you can’t go wrong no matter what the event or occasion is.

L’Orel Faced better than sex was used to achieve this look for the eyes, along with MAC all that glitters beige with gold pearl eyeshadow. For the lips, a nude gen buttercream lip gloss was used. The foundation was Maybeline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation, which is great for oily skin and gives the best natural look.

Some smart things to think about during quick planning and preparation of your escape from reality are below: 1 Umbrella: for the unwanted and unexpected weather.

2 Phone charger: Never leave home without it. Plus, the price hikes for the cost of a charger while traveling will definitely not be worth it.

3 Medical Supplies: Bring enough medication for your every need. Anything over the counter for sea sickness or headaches, allergies, or those just in case pain or sinus medications. A band aid wont hurt either, you just never know.

4 Bathing suit: A swimsuit is so easy to forget, even if you plan ahead and decide to wear nothing but that every day of your trip. Be mindful to pack it first to avoid leaving it on the bed!

5 Personal hygiene products: Do a small checklist to make sure you have all

items necessary.

6 Passport or driver’s license: Don’t be that happy camper that’s left behind or has to arrive later, paying additional fees for changing of flights, buses, or ubers because you have to run home and grab your id, passport, wallet, or purse all together.

7 Hand sanitizer: You’ll feel a lot better about traveling and eating knowing you always have access to sanitize before a quick bite during a night on the town.

8 Snacks: Don’t forget treats, because they tend to get expensive at the airports, and your destination may have a price increase on things you pay a lower price for at home.

9 Cash: Don’t leave without lots of mula for your trip! Try to avoid or eliminate ATM fees at your destination by withdrawing enough cash before you leave, you’re already spending enough money on the trip!

10 Enjoy Yourself: Don’t be the friend that brings work on the vacation and sucks the fun out of the trip for everyone else!

With Summer only 76 days away, the time to start getting our bodies summer ready was quite some time ago. But, better late than never, here’s a few things to work on to prepare and begin the ultimate fitness journey.

If you’re trying to slim down, the best rule of thumb is to attempt all calorie consumption before 6 p.m., eating the biggest meals early in the day assist the metabolism and allow our digestive system to eliminate the most weight versus eating later in the day, when your body is ready for bed or adjusting to winding down for the day. Fat loss is attainable when focusing on keeping your dinners light and eliminating evening snacks.

Download hot releases of your favorite artists with upbeat tunes. It would ideal to pick those club bangers that have beats that make you want to dance, those will motivate you to keep it pushing and actually see the workout to the bitter end. be to add cardio and cycling with consistent paces to your workout routines.

Don’t ruin your weight lose journey by indulging in those pretty fancy margaritas and mixed drinks. So even when it’s time to turn up, you can still turn down the weight increase!

The best remedy to healthy living is water intake. Having a water in place of an appetizer, before each meal goes along way and allows you get fuller quick. You’ll stay hydrated and that aids in making exercise so much easier. Simply drinking 2 cups of water before eating can help you consume fewer calories when you dig in, because water not only quenches thirst, it fills the digestive system at the same time!

These few changes made to your daily schedule could result in you being able to shed that excess weight gained over the winter months, because let’s be real, who isn’t ready to have a bangin’ summer body to show off at the beach or on vacation?

Hailing from Detroit, stylist, Amber Nicole, always had a passion for fashion and styling since high school, which was when she began styling family members and friends for events. Amber eventually left her studies at Michigan State University to relocate to Los Angeles, one of the country’s top fashion cities, to pursue a career in fashion styling. She later went on to intern for stylists like Deborah Afshani, who is known in the fashion industry for her work with Vanity Fair Magazine, and celebrity stylists Shun Melson, and Maeve Reilly as well as PR Guru, Lynn Jeter, and Detroit’s own, Hoda Salameh of Styleline Magazine. She also interned at one of LA’s most premier showrooms, Chic Little Devil with two levels of designer clothing and accessories.

Since returning home, Amber has worked with big names in the Michigan fashion industry including Hoda Salameh of Styleline Magazine, Michigan’s largest monthly magazine. She has also assisted Detroit based stylists such as Marv Neal and Ebony Rutherford of Trishs Garage. Her roster of photographers includes: Davide Anderson, Boswell Hardwick, Christian Ogrady, Irida Mete, Breann White, DeAndre Dean, and David Booker who are all Michigan based. In addition to building her styling resume, Amber started her own store front boutique and online store, Kouture Styles,located in Detroit.
