’Twas the night before
Halloween, and all through the
house, not a creature was quiet, not even a mouse!
At Grandma Dee’s and Grandpa
Perry’s, the excitement was high,
As spooky shadows danced under the crisp autumn sky.
In the living room gathered the ultimate crew: Roman, Theo, Sofie, and Radian too!
Costumes were hanging with care by the door,
While sweet Halloween treats spilled all over the floor.
Grandma Dee was busy mixing up a magic brew,
(Warm hot cocoa with extra marshmallows for the crew!)
Grandpa Perry was grinning, telling tales of old ghosts,
While playing the ultimate, goofy Halloween party host!
Roman was double-checking his trick-or-treat sack, Making sure it was sturdy for a giant candy stack. Theo was practicing his best monster roar,
Giggling as it echoed from the ceiling to the floor!
Sofie was putting the final touches on her style,
Lighting up the whole room with her bright, happy smile. And, little Radian was bouncing around with delight, Ready for the magical, spooky fun of the night!
Together they carved glowing jack-o'lanterns so bright, Setting them out on the porch to shine in the night.
They checked off their route and counted their sweet treats,
Ready to conquer the neighborhood streets!
Then, Grandma Dee snuggled them in nice and tight for the night,
And Grandpa Perry whispered, "Sleep well our lil' monsters. We love you", then he turned off the light."
With dreams of chocolate, spookiness,
and Halloween cheer, They fell right asleep— The big day was going to finally be here!
When morning peeked in on that Halloween day, They found a sweet note where the cocoa mugs lay. It was signed with two hearts and a big "XO," It was from Grandma and Grandpa, who were getting packed up and ready to go. The note read:
