A zine briefly highlighting women masters of design. The world has been greatly affected, changed, and benefited by the presence of women in design. Women’s contributions to the field and movements with in it have been masked. The wild success of some of the most famous male designers’ rests heavy on the shoulders of the women around them, or as society would tell you, the women beneath them.
In the last 20-30 years huge strides have been made in the women’s movement globally. In addition to more women being employed as designers, and even starting to get recognized for their accomplishments, this movement has brought new efforts and focus for scholars to be finding or seeking evidence of women’s contributions to the design world. This zine is a QUICK surface run-through of that research to hopefully, get you interested in discovering and learning more.
