As part of my architectural thesis, I had the opportunity to study DLF Cyber City, Gurugram — one of India’s premier integrated business districts. This case study explored its urban planning strategies, architectural language, spatial organization, sustainability practices, and infrastructure efficiency, especially in the context of a high-density IT ecosystem.
Key focus areas included:
• Mixed-use planning with a focus on functionality and flexibility
• Integration of transit-oriented development (Rapid Metro connectivity)
• Modern facade systems and their role in energy optimization
• Open space design and pedestrian-friendly circulation
• Smart infrastructure and future-ready planning
