A Maker’s World

Lifted I looked to my Father (for answers) And I saw a Black Knight encrusted in stars You couldn’t tell my eyes filled with tears Through these dark lenses held in black Cavalli frames. I looked at my hands and pondered on the things I’ve created and there I saw a glimpse of my imagination I took a step forward and as I looked down at my Shoes they started screaming at me asking, in a sound full of contempt, ‘how many steps forward am I going to keep on taking?!’ I told that spirit to keep quite and suddenly In front of me appeared a young version of me. He spoke saying - ‘Never let your wings be a burden.’ I pulled my coat in tighter to feel my black fur From the Panther that got caged and died. I picked up the mantle and made something new. And young Luel was still walking with me I asked, ‘why are you still walking here prince?’ He said, ‘you protected me, I saw you in the Heavens build a palace from rumble. I saw you And your Father fighting to protect the young Peoples dreams and make the poor men into Kings. And all done so gracefully. So I’m just here to remind you.’ K.L
