AMERICAN MAINE-ANJOU ASSOCIATION SALE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash or check, payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale and before animals will be moved. Seller will reserve the right to require a certificate check as settlement before releasing any cattle.

RISK: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become the property of the purchaser as soon as declared “sold” by the auctioneer. (But will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time).

BIDDING: All animals sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer, and his decision will be final.

HEALTH: All animals sell with proper individual health certificates, making them eligible for interstate transport to most destinations within the U.S.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over statements in the sale catalog. We reserve the right to withdraw any sale lot not meeting our specifications prior to sale time.

REGISTRY CERTIFICATES: All animals shall carry papers from the American Maine-Anjou Association. These papers will be transferred to the new owner at the seller’s expense and mailed to the purchaser.

SHIPPING: Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but no risk will be assumed by the seller. Expenses incident thereto are the responsibility of the purchaser, who should furnish shipping instructions at time of settlement. We recommend that insurance be obtained on lots purchased.

BREEDING GUARANTEE: Females – Females represented as being “safe in calf” will have been examined and declared safe; they are considered breeders without further guarantee. Cows with calves at side shall be considered breeders also without further guarantee. Females represented as bred or exposed are not guaranteed as “safe in calf,” but they and the open heifers selling as individual lots are guaranteed to be breeders. NO guarantee shall apply to suckling salves. NO guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf. Any animal that appears to be a non-breeder within six months after date of sale, if in healthy condition and of breeding age, may be returned to seller at buyer’s expense. Seller will then reserve the right to prove the animal a breeder within a six-month period, using any purebred registered Maine-Anjou bull of his choice, A.I. or natural service, and if successful will return bred female to buyer, again at buyer’s expense. Should the animal fail to prove a breeder, the seller, at his option, may either return purchase price to buyer or replace the animal with another of equal value in full settlement and satisfaction of all claims. In no event shall seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. In case the animal in question should develop to be a problem breeder due to negligence or improper management by the purchaser, the seller’s guarantee does not apply. In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after this sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. Any complaints regarding breeding difficulties must be reported in writing by the buyer to seller within the time limit specified above, and animals returned must be free from disease and in good condition.

LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at heir own risk. The sellers and the sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that may occur. Neither does the sale manager assume any liability for loss of or injury to livestock due to theft, mysterious disappearance, sickness, improper handling or Act of God. It is to be clearly understood that the sale manager and representatives act only as a medium between buyer and seller. They are not responsible in any way for any failure on the part of the buyer and the seller to live up to his obligations or for the truth of any warranties or representation expressed or implied. Neither does the sale manager assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collections of monies between buyer and seller.

CONTRACT: The above terms and guarantees shall constitute a contract between buyer seller of each animal and shall be equally binding on both. Animals that are resold following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction, and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by these Sale Terms and Conditions.

This bull has been a standout since day one and I wish I would’ve bred his dam back the same way. Talk about a bull that gets out and moves with so much style and power from behind. You look at him from the side and see the length of spine, boldness to his rib shape and a great extension to his neck. The best part is he is a half Simmental. His dam is a young cow that has such a beautiful udder, bold ribbed, and legs that could travel for miles. The breeding possibilities are endless with this guy. Simmental registration is still pending.

S&S MISS SMARTY PANTS

We’ve been excited about this bull since the day we put a halter on him. Complete is the best way to describe him today, but as he’s grown the “extras” are starting to come. There’s maternal power on the bottom side of his pedigree with the famed “Emily” donor of Core’s and the up and coming One For All on the top side. We think this one’s going to keep calves structurally correct and balanced while adding power and pounds as they grow.

MAXXINE

Here is a heifer that is going to be a power house! She is sound as a cat and has a clean front end that catches your eye! Her grand dam has been a staple in our herd for a number of years. Wherther it’s heifers or bulls, she gets it done! And I believe this one’s dam will follow in her footsteps! This calf is her second calf and we believe she is going to do the same great things whether in the ring or pasture.

TATT GABBY

What a heifer, deep bodied, bold ribbed, sound, and maternal!! Her sire needs no mention the calves out of him are flat out good and she is so unique!! Her dam was purchased from Buck Cattle Co. and I am glad we did! Lots of future with this one, stout, hairy and soft structured show heifer. Hard to find these cool pedigreed purebred Maines.

GOBE BPC KATE 50M

SDD MIDGE 02M

This Double Up heifer has so much to offer. She is well balanced with extra extension in her front third. She gets around on a perfect set of feet and legs and is heavy enough structured for the long haul. She’s still a little green being an April, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. She’s got Double Up and Data Bank in her pedigree and could also be registered as a % Simmy. Tons of potential with this one!

BPC GeT AFTER IT 70M

We realize she is young, but she is really nice. Big framed and big middled. If you’re looking for a high end show prospect that can show for 2 years, check her out. Big time prospect!
