Savona – the characteristic feature of this innovative design is the thickened wall in the holding area of the glass. This demonstrably retards the cooling of the beverage and the intermingling of its layers. This effect is further optimized by an inner ledge, which additionally allows secure stacking of an exceptionally large number of glasses. The design was developed in cooperation with the coffee specialist Dr. Steffen Schwarz.

All glasses and glass cups shown for coffee, or for example, milkshakes, are suitable for temperatures up to a maximum of 65°C. – unless mentioned otherwise. Furthermore, there are special glasses for hot beverages (tea for example), which can withstand high temperatures without being prewarmed as is usual in bars and restaurants. These articles possess thermal shock resistance of 100 Kelvin and are correspondingly marked.
The method: glass hardening by heating to a very high temperature followed by rapid cooling. The glasses possess greater mechanical shock resistance and durability.
