Welcome to a big weekend of basketball at the Swamp.
Our YVE Senior Women host Collingwood in an important clash. The Women are coming off a big win against ladder leaders Warrandyte last weekend and a win will potentially secure a home final next weekend.
Our ASC Shoring Senior Men travel to Bulleen for their elimination final. After coming up from Division 2, the Men are looking to go back to back and will look to draw on their finals experience to ensure they can go the journey in their finals campaign.
Our Accelerated Concrete Sawing Vic Youth Championship Women will look to bounce back from a tough loss last week in a must win final against the Dandenong Rangers. They will need the Gator’s family to get them across the line in this all important game.
As the season draws to a close, we would like to thank everyone who allows Game Day run smoothly from our incredible Game Day Commissioner, Appollonyah, the score table and stats led by Christine and our game day announcer Hunter and videographer Nash, as well as our wonderful door staff and Kelly for her tireless work organising the uniforms.

SENIOR MEN ROUND 18 REVIEW
Our ASC Shoring Men went down 95-84 to Bulleen without a few starters. After a slow start, they fought back strong in the last quarter winning the quarter 2618. Tyson Burton was elite finishing with 33 points and 7 rebounds. Brian Adams finished with 13 points and Nick Formosa with 8 points. Josh and the men commence finals next week. Having come up from Division 2 last season, it is a wonderful achievement for them to make finals. They have a strong record in finals and will not doubt continue to go well.
SENIOR & VYCW WOMEN ROUND
18 & FINALS REVIEW
Our YVE Senior Women knocked off ladder leaders Warrandyte 79-71. Maya Ganzon finished with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Jordan Wilson finished with 16 points while captain Jessica Rarity finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyla Paraha continued her great form finishing with 12 points and 3 assists.
Our Accelerated Concrete Sawing Vic Youth Championship Women went down to Melbourne Tigers in their qualifying final. Melbourne shot brilliantly in the first half, setting up a strong win. Alicia Sciberras finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Cassie Dodemaide contributed 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while Trinity Hawea was strong defensively and finished with 4 assists. Our young women will be back at home next week to take on Dandenong.

Ascend your development in Term 3
Ascend a player development program that has been established by our Director of Coaching and Basketball Victoria High Performance Hub Lead Coach Randy Shanklin to guide the players through an age-appropriate system of basketball development. Designed for young athletes who play representative basketball U12-U20’s looking to improve their skill level, knowledge of the game and focus on building a strong work ethic. The program covers many different components including Ball Handling & Dribbling, Footwork & Body Control, Passing & Receiving, Rebounding, Screening, Shooting, Individual/Team Defensive Concepts & Individual/Team Offensive Concepts. Whilst we are committed to long term athlete development this program will challenge and develop our athletes in a way that they may be identified for Basketball Victoria pathways
