CONCEPT:

CONCEPT:

From AltoEstudio we assumed the commitment to make one of the biggest challenges of the brand, the design of an ultralight watch of high performance, conceptually it should look like a robust watch, but in the use it should be comfortable and light.

After brainstorming, we decided to conduct an arduous research on carbon fiber laminate, its conditions and requirements. his led us to propose the project in this material.

THE IDEA: TO MAKE THE LIGHTEST AND MOST RESISTANT TACTICAL WATCH ON THE MARKE, IN LAMINATED CARBON FIBER.

This watch is the 6th that we designed from AltoEstudio was produced in carbon fiber laminate and its back in titanium cepilaldo has an automatic machine of the Ronda brand model 5040D, which allows it to be a reliable high-end watch, and in production we tracked each component and defined improvements for what was the next run, it was a challenge of almost 12 months to achieve the texture and the desired strength in the carbon fiber, we made batches of 100 units.

ProJect:

THE IDEA: BASED ON THE NORDIC LEGEND OF THE WARRIOR AND EXPLORER OF THE SEAS BJORN - IRONSIDE, WE STARTED THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MODEL BASED ON HIS WARRIOR HELMET AND THE STRENGTH OF HIS POWER.

CONCEPT:

We were assigned in the year 2023 the project of a unique watch based on the Nordic legend of the warrior Bjorn Ironside, the conceptual challenge was to tell a story on a watch dial. Based on the armor and helmet of different textures used by Bjorn we started a homonym of materials ranging from titanium to brass, which we defined from the proposals and alternatives in digital sketch format. Conceptually it had to look different from the thematic watches of other brands, which we achieved by generating contrasts between the virtual and concrete that governs the design of the product.

DEVELOPMENT:

With the base of the automatic movement of the Japanese brand Sellita Sw 200, we began the development of the pieces from the lay out proposed in the stage of alternatives, in this case the accuracy of the 3D modeling was extreme because it would be seen from the outside, both the front and the back of the movement of the automatic machine would be seen.

Project:

THE IDEA: BASED ON THE LEGEND HRAFNA FLOKI KNOWN FOR BEING THE SECOND NORWEGIAN VIKING TO SET FOOT IN ICELAND. LEGEND HAS IT THAT HRAFNA USED HIS RAVENS TO FLY AND FIND THE LANDS OF ICELAND BEFORE OFFICIALLY SETTING FOOT. HENCE THE USE OF RAVENS ON THE DIAL TO SET THE DESIGN.

CONCEPT:

Conceptually we thought of this watch as a great Nordic scene in which all the elements have to coexist in harmony, the appearance of the ravens that give life to the dial of this thematic watch was the great challenge in conjunction with the Viking runes as a requirement to denote the presence of the most primitive Nordic culture.

Layered to be able to differentiate the hierarchy of the elements make this watch an element of appreciation that will surprise you in every detail.

PARAMETRIC MODELING: WE DESIGN EACH PIECE OF THE WATCH SO THAT THEY WORK TOGETHER TO GENERATE A WHOLE, IN THIS CASE THE STRAP WAS DESIGNED IN WOODEN LINKS (ALLUDING TO SHIPS) AND BLACK STAINLESS STEEL (EMULATING THE AXES AND STEEL JOINTS).

DEVELOPMENT:

In the development the challenge was to merge the different materials and texture in a single watch, the development of miniature pieces of wood and brass was the great challenge of this particular model, you could appreciate the variety of textures, the wood grain and brushing of metals was absolutely precise, in the 3D modeling stage we decided each of the details for the subsequent production.

SWISS PRECISION:

MULTILAYER DIAL:

This piece uses a variety of materials and finishes. The dial incorporates copper, brass and touches of wood. The case is stainless steel with bronze IP finish, while the bracelet is PVD Gunmetal and sandblasted to prevent wear, and also includes wood on the links. The hands have been constructed to resemble the central features of the Raven bird.
