Dedicatoria

Estimados lectores de esta publicación. La intención para la edición de este mes era dedicarlo a las madres. De ahí que empezáramos con la portada de una madrecita indígena, joven y ya con dos hijos y muy probablemente con la enunciación del tercero en sus entrañas. Su mirada incierta se pierde entre la enjambrada actividad del mercado. Viste de blanco impecable, como es la tradición de la gente de Cuetzalan, población encumbrada en la serranía del estado de Puebla. Felicidades a todas ls madres que son, que fueron y que serán tarde o temprano, porque es su destino en su condición de mujeres. Las mujeres han sido desde que existen, el centro del universo, la razón de la existencia, la causa de guerras y crímenes tanto personales como pasionales. Las mujeres: reinas, madres, musas, embajadoras, cocineras, enfermeras, cartomancias, todas han sido,- en una forma o en otra, siempre la fuerza que impulsa al hombre, que lo inventa, que lo exalta y que lo exhala, que le da la vida o se la quita.

Artemisa divinidad griega y su equivalencia romana llamada Diana encabezan la lista junto con la sensual manzanera Eva, de los principios bíblicos. No menos notables son: Juana la Loca. Reina de Castilla. Cleopatra, mujer extraordinaria y célebre belleza de prodigiosa sexualidad y porque en muchas formas son las que manejan el mundo. Desde el arduo que-hacer de los hogares, y el cuidado de los hijos hasta posiciones administrativas que paso a paso han ido conquistando en todo el mundo. FELICIDADES A TODAS ELLAS.

Nota Final

Hubiera deseado que escribir esta nota fuera la final de esta edición, Con mucho pesar tengo que aclarar que será la última de la vida de esta publicación. Razones no me faltan. La primera y la de mayor peso, es que no logramos, yo y los colaboradores, captar la atención del público al que nos dirigíamos suponiéndolo interesado en todo lo que fuera arte. Debí suponerlo desde el principio, pues ya en el año 2017 lo había intentado https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=san+miguel+art+magazine&id= Y después de 7 meses de intensas ilusiones, no logré captar el interés del público. Llegando a la conclusión de que el propósito de su publicción era totalmente irrelevante. Con este Número de mayo, llegamos exactamente a la misma conclusión. A los artistas que hemos invitado, no les interesan nuestras páginas, a los lectores, tampoco, es decir, no tenemos lectores que hagan pública su opinión. No sé qué decir ante mi segundo fracaso… Sin embargo me queda la enorme satisfacción de haber publicado hace ya unos 10 años, DOS LIBROS QUE MOSTRARON EL TRABAJO DE MÁS DE 50 ARTISTAS LOCALES y na suerte!!

José Luis Arias nace en Mazatlán Sinaloa en 1966 y desde la edad de 12 años empieza su curiosidad y búsqueda del conocimiento del arte y la adquisición de habilidades y herramientas que lo hagan madurar su estilo y lenguaje visual hasta lograr la maestría en artes visuales y dirigir escuelas de arte en Nuevo León, así como las diversas menciones y reconocimientos en el medio cultural del estado de Sinaloa y San Miguel de Allende.

Siendo un artista visual con basta experiencia en la educación profesional de las artes visuales y en la producción por más de 30 años y exhibiendo en mas de 40 colectivas y mas de 25 individuales en diferentes estados y en el extranjero es considerado como un artista visual de San Miguel de Allende con gran influencia en generaciones de jóvenes artistas.

Es mi turno elegir el tema de esta sección y no puedo evadir hablar de Luis Buñuel que es uno de mis genios cinematográficos preferidos.

Nació en los albores del siglo – en febrero 22 –de un padre negociante que procreó una numerosa familia de siete hijo con María Portolez, 28 años más joven que él.Siendo Luis el primogénito.

Aunque no hay precisión en las referencias. Uno muy importante puede ser el de la primera película parlante que vió en su vida, y que poría ser la influencia perecedera para su expresión surrealista. recordaba una película donde – “era una caricatura de dibujos animados con colores de muy mala calidad que mostraba a un cerdo, ataviado con faja de policía y sombrero de copa, cantando una canción. Algo bastante sarcástico y surrealista. Pero en su libro de memorias “Mi último suspiro”... dice que las primeras películas que vió en su vida, fueron muchas películas cómicas de André Deed, que en España era conocido como Toribio, y el Viaje a la Luna de Georges Méliès. Desde su época de adolescencia, ya mostraba su inclinación a los espectáculos escénicos, Teatro, Opera, música…

Luis Buñuel

A los 17 años inició estudios universitarios, siguiendo los deseos de su padre que deseaba que estudiara Agronomía, Pronto cambió esos propósitos y siguió por los rumbos de Filosofía y Letras Ya figuraban entre el grupo de amigos con inquietudes Lorca y Salvador Dalí con quien montó en teatro una jocosa versión el clásico “Don Juan Tenorio”

En 1921 el grupo de amigos viajó a Toledo, ciudad donde se maquinaban fuertes tendencias del pensamiento, por lo que tuvo contacto con el DADAISMO, con Luis Aragón y André Bretón. Empezó a escribir poemas y cuentos para revistas literarias, y nacen sus primeras ilusiones cinematográficas.

De El Viaje a la Luna de Georges Méliès.

Lo que pudo haber sido su primera película, fue su primer obstáculo. Le habían encargado un película sobre Francisco Goya, que no se realizó por falta de dinero. Pero al año siguiente, en el ´27, vuelve a animarse con un proyecto con cuentos de Gómez de la Serna.

Lo que finalmente quedaría plasmado como una de sus grandes obrases, EL PERRO ANDALUZ, nació como un libro que contenía relatos, cuentos y poemas de su época durante el servicio militar Paris era casi como un destino obligado para cualquier intelectual o aspirante. La ciudad Lux era la sede de diversos movimientos artisticos y filosóficos. El surrealismo estaba en plena gestación y los proyectos de cine empezaron a surgir.

Su afición por el cine iba in crecendo y se perpetró cuando vio la película de Frtiz Lang, “las tres luces”

Audazmente se presentó en el rodaje de una película para ofrecerse a trabajar en “lo que fuera”, Y poco después, el director Jean Epstein, lo tenía como asistente de dirección en las películas “Mauprat” y “La caida de la casa Usher” dentro del tiempo del cine mudo. Se abrió paso como crítico de cine y arte, para importantes revistas de la época en España y Francia.

Buñuel, viajando ocasionalmente a Madrid, promovió en España el cine de vanguardia y las ideas surrealistas. Quedan marcadas como sus dos primeras obras cinematográficas y La edad de oro y Un perro andaluz que realizó en estrecha colaboración con el otro gran surrealista SALVADOR DALI. En este punto surgen divergencias, pues hace su aparición en el escenario de la realidad el gran amor de Dalí – Gala Eluard. Pero no fue ella la causa. Dalí se sintió marginado cuando Buñuel terminó la película por su cuenta, y Dalí andaba con Gala de vacaciones lisonjeras

Buñuel se mantuvo muy activo, escribiendo para revistas literarias,y siempre participando en grupos de vanguardia, en España y Francia, a la caza de oportunidades para desarrollar sus propósitos cinematográficos.Buñuel, promovió en España el cine de vanguardia y las ideas surrealistas.

LA ETAPA MEXICANA.

Entre dimes y diretes sociales. Buñuel se relacionó con productores mexicanos y en una enmarañada coproducción hispano-mexicana produjeron VIRIDIANA con las grandes estrellas de aqullos tiempos ; Silvia Pinal, Paco Rabal y Fernando Rey y la dirección de Luis Buñuel. Película que fue un éxito por todos lados.

En 1949, Dancigers le otorga la dirección de El gran calavera, Y en 1950 dirige Los olvidados, película que ocasionó controversiales opiniones, pues los ultranacionalistas mexicanos se ofendieron porque la película retrataba la miseria de los barrios de la ciudad de México, aunque fuera la realidad que no querían reconocer.. El FESTIVAL DE CANNES de 1951 dio a Buñuel el premio al mejor director.. Actualmente, Los olvidados es una de las tres únicas películas reconocidas por la Unesco como Memoria del Mundo.

En 1960 se filma en España VIRIDIANA, y participan el Festival de Cannes siendo premiada con La palma de Oro, y nuevamente es motivo de controversias, pues el vaticano la trata de “blasfema y sacrílega” y permaneció incautada hasta 1977 en que se pudo exhibir libremente en España. Buñuel continuó dirigiendo películas en Francia, España y México. Entre 1929 y 1977 dirigió un total de treinta y dos películas.

Luis Buñuel falleció en la Ciudad de México el 29 de julio de 1983 de madrugada, a causa de una enfermedad hepática y renal provocada por un cáncer.
