EASY MISTLETOE WREATH HOLIDAY CARD

INSTRUCTIONS 1.

Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base from Dark Gray Cardstock.

2.

Emboss the base using the Basic Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

3.

Blend Pure Graphite Dye Ink around the edges of the base.

4.

Sprinkle the panel lightly with water to add texture.

5.

Make a card panel using Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

6.

Use the Mistletoe Wreath Stamp Set with Jet Black Dye Ink to stamp the mistletoe wreath image on the white panel.

7.

Apply Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Forest Glades, Evergreen, and Dark Chocolate Dye Crisp Dye Inks to color the mistletoe wreath using the Mistletoe Wreath Simple Coloring Stencil Set.

SUPPLIES

Stamp, Die, Stencil, and 3D Embossing Folder Set

Die cut the wreath image using the coordinating die set.

9.

Use the black brush pen from the Fine Liner Pen Set to color the white areas around the wreath and in between its elements.

10. For the sentiment banner, stamp the banner outline and message with embossing ink onto Dark Gray Cardstock, and heat set with red embossing powder.

11. Finally, assemble and attach the wreath and banner onto the embossed card base with foam tape.

12. As finishing touches, add red sequins.

DRY EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE WITH A COVER DIE

INSTRUCTIONS

SUPPLIES Dies Geo Tiles Cover Die Be Kind Die Set Coloring Medium Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set Cardstock Glitter Cardstock Set - Gilded Vellum Translucent Paper Other

1.

Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base with black watercolor paper.

2.

Begin by wetting the black watercolor paper using the Fine Mister.

3.

Select three colors from Altenew’s Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set palette.

4.

Paint these colors onto the wet paper in swipes using a Size 18 Flat Brush, allowing them to blend into each other.

5.

Let the paper dry. Repeat this process twice to intensify the colors, gradually fading to black towards the bottom of the panel.

6.

Dry the panel once more, leaving it slightly damp.

7.

Make a die cutting sandwich. Place the Geo Tiles Cover Die face up.

8.

Position the damp watercolor panel face down on top of the die and layer an embossing mat.

9.

Finally, add your cutting plate on top and run it through your die cutting machine.

10. After embossing, trim the embossed panel to your desired size.

11. To finish the card, cut a sentiment from the Be Kind Die Set using Glitter Cardstock Set - Gilded and Vellum.

Adhere it to the card front.

A FUN WAY TO COLOR AN EMBOSSED BACKGROUND WITH PASTELS

INSTRUCTIONS 1.

Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

2.

Emboss a card panel using the Intricate Tiles 3D Embossing Folder.

3.

Cut the embossed cardstock to fit the size of your card base.

4.

Using Mini Blending Brushes, apply a light layer of various crisp dye ink colors to the embossed background. Use Cotton Candy, Deep Iris, and Rocky Shore Crisp Dye Inks.

5.

Create a few black ink splatters on the background for added interest.

6.

On another panel, stamp a sprig of flowers and a sentiment from the Positive Vibes Stamp Set with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink.

7.

Die cut the flowers with their coordinating die set. Fussy cut out the sentiment and make a strip.

8.

Keep the sprig of flowers and the sentiment uncolored to create contrast with the colorful background.

9.

Attach the flowers and sentiment strip with foam tape to the embossed panel.

1.

Begin by die cutting a tag from white cardstock using the Labels and Tags 2 Die Set.

2.

Emboss the tag die-cut using the Starry Patterns 3D Embossing Folder.

3.

Splatter the embossed tag with metallic gold watercolors from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set.

4.

Use the Fine Frames Diamonds Set to cut a frame from Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock. Adhere it to the tag using liquid adhesive.

5.

Add a personal touch to the tag by using the Classic Alphabet Die Set to die cut glittery letters from the Glitter Cardstock Set - Gilded.

6.

Complete the tags by including some berry die-cuts, cut using the Branches and Berries Die Set from white cardstock.

1.

Create a card base from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

2.

Emboss a card panel using the Waffled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.

3.

Affix Fall Harvest Slim Washi Tape Set onto the card panel and add staples.

4.

Stamp the graphic rose from the Fairy Tale Rose Stamp and Die Bundle using Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat emboss using Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder.

5.

Die cut the graphic rose from a piece of watercolor paper (Watercolor Paper Pad 9” x 12”) and watercolor the image using colors from the Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan Set and Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set.

6.

Stamp and heat emboss the “Hi” sentiment.

7.

Die cut the “Hi” sentiment using a small circle die from the Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set.

8.

Stamp and heat emboss the “Hope You Are Well” sentiment and die cut it using the One-Go Birthday Greetings Die.

9.

Adhere both the image and sentiments onto the image panel using foam adhesive.

SUPPLIES

1.

Create a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base from Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

2.

Start by stamping 2 of the large images from the Fairy Tale Florals Stamp Set onto a card panel using Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink.

3.

Once stamped, use the coordinating dies to carefully cut out these images.

4.

Take the stamped die-cuts and emboss them with the Fairy Tale Florals 3D Embossing Folder.

5.

Use the coordinating Simple Coloring Stencils to add color to the embossed die-cuts.

6.

Apply Orange Sorbet Crisp Dye Ink to the flowers and use Forest Glades Crisp Dye Ink for the leaves.

7.

To make the background more interesting, swipe Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink over the card base before attaching the embossed die-cuts with foam tape.

8.

For the sentiment, heat emboss the sentiments from the Versatile Greetings Hot Foil Plate Set using Enchanted Gold Hot Foil Roll.

9.

Add a touch of detail and interest by splattering Antique Gold Ink Spray onto the card.
