IMPREGNATION
Remove mortar, adhesive and grout residues immediately. Do not allow adhesive to dry on the slate. Clean new floors of construction dust and dirt with an acid-free cleaner, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
The slate must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and dry. Switch off underfloor heating well in advance and avoid direct sunlight. Apply a suitable natural-stone impregnation evenly and remove excess product continuously.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Wash with stone soap or a similar cleaner intended for natural stone. Avoid strong or aggressive cleaning agents; they can weaken the impregnation. Choose a stain remover to suit the stain. Ask the supplier for advice if you are uncertain.
