President’s Note

Hello Sisters!

Earlier this summer, I had the privilege of spending four days alongside Sisters of all generations at our 46th National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Our weekend kicked off in dramatic fashion: just as our welcome event began, the storm clouds parted, the sun broke through, and the energy was set. Across the event, Sisters proudly wore their letters, rekindled lifelong bonds, and forged new friendships. Throughout the weekend, I was inspired by educational sessions led by our own members, energized by an address from our Sister and Miss America, Cassie Donegan, and moved by the commitment to excellence celebrated during our awards ceremony and the Yellow Rose Banquet.

Being in Minneapolis brought me back to my very first Convention as a collegiate member in Virginia. I walked into the room knowing only the few chapter Sisters with whom I traveled to Virginia. That initial nervousness quickly turned to awe as I watched women across chapters and generations embrace like old friends. I was in awe of the leaders who came before us, who built and sustained our Sorority. As I was starting to understand, for one of the first times, what it meant to be a member of Alpha Sigma Tau beyond just my chapter, a Sister from Michigan who was initiated more than 30 years before me came over and introduced herself. She may not have realized it then, but her simple gesture transformed my understanding of Alpha Sigma Tau. During my first Convention, I realized the grandness of our Sisterhood and learned a lesson that has stayed with me: sorority is not something we passively experience—it is something we actively create, nourish, and pass on to the next generation.

As we head into fall recruitment, I am reminded of how my own story began. A college freshman searching for community in a new city, I walked into recruitment hoping for connection and found a Sisterhood that permanently changed the course of my life. Over the years—from my chapter days to serving on the National Council and the National Foundation Board—my love for Alpha Sigma Tau has only deepened. That entire journey traces back to the Sisters who welcomed me at recruitment and the women who believed in my potential. I can’t wait to hear about the wonderful women who start their own Alpha Sigma Tau journeys this year by accepting their bids!

I leave you with the same call to action I offered at Convention, because strengthening our Sisterhood requires all of us: carry a fierce pride in who we are as Sisters of Alpha Sigma Tau. Help us build and model what true Sisterhood can look like and the meaningful connections that come from it. Become all-in on Alpha Sigma Tau and then bring another Sister in with you.

Whether you recommend a woman for Alpha Sigma Tau membership, support a chapter during recruitment, or reach out and reconnect with an alumna Sister, let us each strive to contribute our share!

REPORT TO MEMBERSHIP 2024-2026 Membership: Since June 2024, Alpha Sigma Tau has seen: 2,581 new members welcomed 90% average retention rate achieved 100 new Chapter Advisory Board appointments

1 new chapter establishment – our first since 2017 and we are eager to continue growing!

Philanthropy: In 2026, we celebrated 10 years of partnership with Dress for Success as part of the Women’s Wellness Initiative!

A special shout-out to these chapters for their 2024-2026 philanthropic efforts:

Beta Mu/Salisbury: $30,000+ Beta Delta/Duquesne: $13,000+ Gamma Omega/La Salle: $12,000+

Panhellenic: Since 2025, an AΣΤ has sat on the NPC Board of Directors!

Dr. Kristin Walker Donnelly (Alpha Lambda 2000/Radford) will serve on the National Panhellenic Conference Board of Directors through 2027, but has already been essential in leading groundbreaking legislation to establish a minimum total of 40 for all college campuses.

Foundation: Since June 2024, the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation has: raised $1.25 million for the Giving Our All campaign in honor of the Sorority’s 125 year anniversary. In June 2026, the Foundation announced that they have since increased their goal to $1.75 million to help secure our Sisterhood’s future for generations to come.

Operations: Alpha Sigma Tau’s operational infrastructure continues to evolve.

New CEO In May 2025, the Sorority welcomed Jordan Feldhaus to the role after a fruitful

search process from the CEO Search Committee. She is only the second Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Sigma Tau.

HQ Move In May 2026, the Sorority downsized their Indianapolis Headquarters, selling the building and moving to a secure nearby location primarily serving as archives storage and a mailing address. Staff are now remote.

THURSDAY June 11

General Session I Convention officially begins! On Thursday afternoon, Sisters gathered to begin Sorority business, including the election of our 2026-2028 National Council.

The Foundation excitedly displayed photos, programs, banquet favors, dangles, and more from the past 100 years of Convention! Since 1925, Sisters have gathered to make Sorority decisions and reconnect with each other. At this Convention, Sisters could also take a photobooth photo celebrating how many Conventions they’ve attended!

Great views, greater Sisterhood! Alumnae, collegians, and guests enjoyed dinner together and explored the Mill City Museum, which included artifacts, factory ruins, and an interactive elevator ride to the lookout point over the Mississippi River.

After wrapping up General Session II, attendees heard from Sisters about how to make the most of their lifelong Alpha Sigma Tau membership! We then headed to our Women’s Leadership Luncheon in high spirits.

Remembering Sisters

Our Foundation-funded keynote speaker, Heather Matthews, showed our members how to create practical recruitment strategies and improve the member experience by using the data behind sorority perceptions and member motivations.

We can’t wait to see how chapters and advisors apply this info in the fall!

On Friday afternoon, we spent some time during the Memorial Service thinking of our Sisters who have recently joined the Eternal Chapter. We offer our heartfelt condolences to those who have lost friends, mentors, and more in the last two years.

In the evening, our collegians headed off-site to Smash Park to enjoy axethrowing, karaoke, pickleball, and more, while alumnae gathered at the hotel to honor Emerald Chapter inductees.

General Sessions

SORORITY BUSINESS

The ultimate purpose of our National Convention is to better the future of the Sorority. Attending members do so by voting on legislation, electing a new National Council, and recognizing members, chapters, and groups that are contributing their share to the Sorority.

Then, Nominations Committee Chair Allie Ellis Mills (Gamma Gamma 2006/UWA) introduced the Nominations Committee Report and presented the 2026-2028 National Council slate of candidates. Each candidate gave a speech to the Convention body.

National President Katherine Onyshko (Delta Phi 2006/NYU) and National Vice President-Collegian Emily Smeal (Zeta 2024/Lock Haven) were elected without ballots, as they were the only members nominated for their positions.

In addition to the candidates slated by the Nominations Committee, Tsai-Ann Yawching (Gamma Tau 2013/ Lebanon Valley) was nominated from the floor for a Vice President-Alumna position. Her eligibility and statement of qualification were received 90 days before the opening day of Convention, per Alpha Sigma Tau bylaws.

For the National Vice President-Alumna positions, the candidates were elected via ballot, and there was a runoff between two candidates to determine the four elected National Vice Presidents-Alumna: Lauren Bendes Warren (Beta Xi 2005/Michigan Tech), Tsai-Ann Yawching (Gamma Tau 2013/Lebanon Valley), Addie Beckham (Beta Rho 2017/ Arkansas Tech), and Cassidy Nulty Werkman (Alpha Psi 2016/ Northern Iowa).

GENERAL SESSION I

After the National Council election results were finalized, the National Foundation President Erika McManus Bukva (Delta Rho 2000/Chowan) gave her remarks before National President Jamie Jones Miller called the session to a close.

With the welcoming of Convention attendees, National President Jamie Jones Miller (Psi 1995/James Madison) officially opened the 46th National Convention. After introducing guests, recognizing volunteers, and ensuring that all chapter representatives could use their voting devices appropriately, several reports were presented by the National Vice Presidents. The Credentials Committee Report and Convention Standing Rules Committee Report were unanimously adopted, and the Convention Program Committee Report was adopted by a 98% vote.

After reports concluded, the National President introduced the consent agenda, which contained three amendments: • The first amendment was to the Bylaws and aimed to change the dues increase limit based on the Consumer Price Index-Urban to a maximum percentage.

• The second amendment was to update Ritual attire for the Pin Pledging Ceremony, making it appropriate to wear Badge attire instead.

• The third amendment was to the Policy & Position Statements and wanted to allow for reinstatement requests from members dismissed for failing to meet academic expectations.

The second and third amendments were adopted as part of the consent agenda; however, the first amendment was pulled from the consent agenda to be discussed further during General Session II. 11

General Sessions

GENERAL SESSION II Friday morning’s session reconvened to further discuss the first amendment up for adoption. Governing Documents Committee Chair Violet De Stefano (Epsilon Phi 2016/Winona State) led the Convention body. The first amendment was ultimately adopted as proposed by a 73% affirmative vote.

After the Convention body voted, Chief Executive Officer Jordan Feldhaus came forward to deliver the report to the membership, exploring the Sorority and Foundation’s achievements of the last two years and highlighting what lies ahead for Alpha Sigma Tau. The National Foundation President gave remarks, and then the National President recessed the General Session to welcome our panelists for “Building Your Sorority Legacy.”

This panel allowed attendees to see how a sorority can be a place to grow, lead, connect, and leave their mark by nurturing their Alpha Sigma Tau legacy. Together, panelists shared their sorority stories, and while their experiences were different, all found opportunities for friendship, leadership, service, and personal growth.

GENERAL SESSION III In the closing session of the 46th National Convention, the National President called for new business. When none arose, the 2024-2026 National Council presented awards to more than 50 outstanding collegiate chapters and alumnae groups that defined excellence over the past two years. See a complete list of award winners starting on page 29.

After awards were distributed, the National President presented National Vice Presidents Joell Sperry (Gamma Theta 2004/Penn State Behrend) and TsaiAnn Yawching (Gamma Tau 2013/Lebanon Valley) with a special ring featuring an emerald stone and gold rose for their four years of service on the National Council.

With these celebrations concluded, the General Sessions and the business portion of the 46th National Convention came to a close!

National Vice President

Katherine is currently serving her first term as National President.

She previously served Alpha Sigma Tau as National Vice President from 2017-2024, and served on the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation Board from 2024-2026. She also has served on the Governing Documents Committee, Ritual Task Force, and the CEO Search Committee. She received the Ada A. Norton Award in 2024.

Addie is serving her third term on the National Council. This is her second term as an alumna but her third term on Council, having served as National Vice President-Collegian in 2020-2022.

Her continued dedication to Alpha Sigma Tau includes serving as the former Marketing Advisor for Beta Rho/Arkansas Tech and contributing to the organization’s CEO Search Committee.

Professionally, Katherine is an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, prosecuting federal cases across Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island. She studied history and economics as an undergraduate at New York University and furthered her education at Columbia Law School. Prior to law school, she served in the Peace Corps (Senegal 2009-2011), where her projects included working with artisans on business development, youth and girls empowerment, and creating a girls’ leadership camp.

Addie earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Arkansas Tech University and a master’s degree in agricultural communications from the University of Arkansas. As a member of the Beta Rho Chapter at Arkansas Tech University, she served as Chapter President and Vice President of Operations.

Professionally, Addie is a marketing manager for a professional development company and is the founder of Radiant Media, a digital marketing agency focused on creative storytelling and strategic brand development.

What drew you to volunteer for the Sorority?

I want to give back to the organization that helped shape me.

Through Alpha Sigma Tau, I developed leadership skills and formed lifelong friendships that continue today.

What drew you to volunteer for Alpha Sigma Tau? I volunteer because I knew I could support the future of the organization and help ensure collegiate women have the same experience that has changed my life for the better. Sorority magic fills my cup, and I am so glad to continue serving!

What do you see as Alpha Sigma Tau’s biggest opportunities?

I see tremendous opportunity for the Sorority to address the growing isolation many college students experience. By emphasizing the lifelong value of sisterhood, expanding membership, and strengthening engagement beyond graduation, I believe Alpha Sigma Tau can continue to offer a welcoming, supportive community for generations to come.

Which historical figure(s) would you most like to meet?

The Sorority’s Founders. My favorite picture from the archives is the photo from the Alpha Chapter of the Founders, and it’s captioned “Party Time.” I’d love to join their party time and hear about what inspired them to start our Sisterhood and what their dreams for the organization were.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

My favorite vacation spot is near Pecos, New Mexico, where I stay at a cabin with friends. Being in nature, surrounded by trees, mountains, and great company, is my favorite way to recharge. I also love an occasional beach trip!

Who or what inspires you the most and why?

Seeing all the amazing achievements and growth recognized during Convention is such an incredible reminder of what our Sisterhood is capable of. I am grateful to be a part of such a motivating group of women.

Fun fact: I am also getting into wedding photography, which has been so much fun!

Emily is a senior majoring in early childhood education and will begin her student teaching in fall 2026.

A dedicated leader, Emily has served the Zeta Chapter as Vice President of Growth, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Community Relations, Director of Continuous Open Bidding (COB), and Chapter President. She also served as Lock Haven University’s Panhellenic Recruitment Chair, a role that sparked her passion for recruitment and strengthening our Sisterhood. Emily also currently serves as an 1899 Society Ambassador for the Foundation.

What inspired you to run for and serve on the National Council as a collegiate member?

My chapter advisor, Amy Brooks (Alpha Xi 1978/Mansfield), inspired me to run. She saw leadership in me that I couldn’t see for myself, and she lifted me with reassurance. It took her encouragement and support for me to actually see myself in a position as impactful as the National Council. She broadened my “AΣΤ horizons,” and I am so grateful that I get to represent Alpha Sigma Tau in this way.

What’s a fun fact that your Sisters may not know about you?

I’m a substitute teacher!

What advice would you offer to collegians who may be hesitant to step into leadership roles, whether on campus or at the national level?

Sorority is such a special thing in the way that you have Sisters by your side through everything. They are there to support you and cheer you on, but they are also there to pick you up when you fall. It is easy to feel like you are not ready or that a position is too hard to handle. I always try to remember that no one is expecting perfection on your first day of the job. There is space for you to learn and grow into leadership; ask the questions, do your research, and give yourself grace when needed.

A dedicated 20+ year Sorority volunteer, Lauren is currently serving her second term as National Vice President. She has previously served as an alumnae chapter president, as a chapter advisor, an RFM Specialist for the National Panhellenic Conference, and on numerous committees.

Professionally, Lauren is Director of Traffic Operations and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) at Cincar Consulting Group, where she leads the firm’s traffic engineering practice. Lauren is also President of WTS Michigan, which supports the advancement of women in transportation, and leads the FIRST robotics club at her children’s school. Above all, Lauren is a proud wife and mother who values faith, family, and service, believing that strong relationships are the foundation of personal fulfillment.

What inspired you to serve on the National Council?

I desire to give back to our Sisterhood that has given so much to me personally and professionally. Whether it be learning time management as a collegian, enhancing my leadership skills as an advisor, or finding a support group in my alumnae chapter. After serving last term on the Council and seeing the impact of this team, I am even more invested in how my skills can help the Sorority at this level.

What is your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is Easter. I always feel so revived and refreshed and love hosting my family for a big meal!

What issues facing the Sorority are you passionate about tackling?

As higher education continues to evolve, so must our approach to growth. Strategic extension requires strong campus relationships, a visible and respected brand, and the collective efforts of our collegiate members, alumnae, and volunteers. I also want to take a deeper look at the Women’s Wellness Initiative and find ways to create meaningful opportunities for our members to engage with our National Srevice Partners.

What’s a place to visit on your bucket list?

New Zealand! It has everything rolled into one — mountains, forest, beaches.

Cassidy is serving her third term on the National Council, which included serving one term as National Vice President-Collegian. She most recently served as CEO Search Committee Chair and brings a deep commitment to enhancing the member experience through a community-centered lens.

Tsai-Ann is serving her third term on National Council after first being elected in 2022. During her first two terms, she served as the Ex-Officio member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standing Committee, helping advance initiatives that foster belonging across the organization.

In 2023, she launched her personal chef business, Summer Savory, in Atlanta, GA. She’s fully embraced Atlanta life since moving there from Chicago, picking up tennis and exploring the city’s restaurant scene.

She’s excited to rejoin the Council after four years away, bringing an entrepreneurial perspective to her work.

She previously served as the Organization Development Advisor for the Gamma Tau Chapter at Lebanon Valley College and as a member of the Sorority Advisory Committee, where her work focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What issues facing the Sorority are you passionate about and excited to tackle?

I’m looking forward to continuing conversations around the new generations of women entering college. I know young women are continuing to seek community, but I find they are very intentional when thinking through how they will spend their time and what spaces they enjoy showing up in. I’d love to dive deeper into what makes them feel an affinity for an organization like ours. That said, I think the core of our Sisterhood will continue to serve women through our greatest strengths — offering community and growth opportunities.

What would be your dream job, if time and money were no object?

I’d love to run a traveling bed & breakfast that welcomes guests in different places around the world. I have a passion for learning local cuisines and traditions, and always feel most inspired when I’m traveling.

What inspired you to serve on the National Council?

It has been four years since I last served on the National Council, and it’s given me the opportunity to gain professional experience and new perspectives. During that time, I made a career pivot and opened my own personal chef business. That entrepreneurial experience allowed me to practice strategy and begin brand-building through community.

I felt prepared to serve again with fresh insight into how AΣΤ can continue to serve our members. I’m driven by the desire to honor our Founders’ intentions — creating community for women. It’s the core of what sisterhood means to me.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I grew up in a small Iowa town, which I loved, but I’m a total city person now. I feel very at home in Chicago or Boston, but France is always on my mind.

Professionally, Tsai-Ann is the Director of Alumni Engagement for the College of Medicine at Drexel University. In this role, she continues her passion for women’s empowerment by honoring and advancing the college’s legacy as the nation’s first women’s medical college.

You are passionate about self-care. How do you support your wellbeing and leadership?

I still believe so strongly that it is incredibly important to take care of ourselves to prevent burnout and live joyously. My self-care includes vision boarding to help remind myself of what I want to embody and/or accomplish — both for the year and each month. My other top self-care practices include weight lifting, going on long walks, spending time outdoors, and quality time with loved ones.

As you begin your third term on the National Council, what are your hopes, priorities, and vision for the next biennium?

I have such deep gratitude to be elected for a third and final term on the National Council and am looking forward to serving alongside five incredible women. Our focus will mostly be on growth and retention strategy planning while also keeping in mind how to increase the sense of belonging amongst our members during this digital era and a loneliness epidemic.

My personal priority is continuing to weave inclusion and belonging into educational resources for advisors and collegiate members through leveraging the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Standing Committee.

125 Years of History

WHERE THE CROWN MEETS SISTERHOOD: MISS AMERICA CASSIE DONEGAN RETURNS HOME TO ALPHA SIGMA TAU A story of coming home, discovering belonging, and using that foundation to lead and empower others.

Keynote speaker Cassie Donegan (Delta Eta 2016/Belmont) not only holds the title of Miss America but is also a proud alumna of Alpha Sigma Tau. On Saturday morning, as Cassie stood on stage and looked around the ballroom filled with Sisters, she affirmed, “There is a unique kind of homecoming in being surrounded by women who understand exactly what ‘sisterhood’ means, not as a word we say, but as a way we live.”

Cassie delivered an inspiring keynote centered on the power of belonging and sisterhood, and how confidence and leadership are cultivated through community. She concluded by challenging Convention attendees to carry the values of Alpha Sigma Tau into every aspect of their lives.

“Purpose is not something you stumble into,” Cassie cautioned.

“You build it. You choose it. You commit to it daily, just as we commit to one another.”

FINDING WHERE YOU BELONG Cassie reflected on how Alpha Sigma Tau became the place where she truly found belonging. Arriving at college from a very different background left her questioning whether she fit in.

During Belmont University’s freshman orientation program, Cassie met fellow first-year student Hannah Schibi (Delta Eta 2016/Belmont). Discovering their similar experiences and backgrounds, the two quickly formed a friendship that would become one of the most meaningful relationships in Cassie’s life. That friendship eventually led them both to the Delta Eta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau, where Cassie found a community in which she felt truly seen, accepted, and valued.

Reflecting on that experience, Cassie shared, “Sometimes all it takes is one person. One person who reminds you that you’re not alone. One person who reminds you that your story has value. One person who reminds you that you belong.”

“Sisterhood is not the moment you receive your Badge,” Cassie expressed.

“It is the collection of moments you choose to uphold what that Badge represents.”

The Delta Eta Chapter women embraced one another as they were, demonstrating that genuine sisterhood is built through acceptance, encouragement, and showing up for one another throughout life’s biggest moments.

“We are connected by the belief that women are stronger when they support one another,” Cassie said. “Sisterhood is not finding women whose stories look exactly like yours.

Sisterhood is finding women who make you feel safe enough to tell your story.”

She reminded attendees that sisterhood extends far beyond receiving a Badge.

BECOMING THE WOMAN YOU WERE MEANT TO BE Drawing from both her Alpha Sigma Tau experience and her journey to becoming Miss America, Cassie emphasized that confidence is not something people are born with, but something developed through resilience, courage, and the willingness to keep showing up before feeling ready.

“Confidence doesn’t grow where you are merely tolerated,” she said. “Confidence grows where you are loved. Confidence grows where you are seen. Confidence grows where you belong.”

Reflecting on her own journey, Cassie shared that her confidence came from every challenge she survived, every risk she took, and every time she showed up before she felt ready.

She recalled failing and trying again because another woman looked at her and said, “I believe in you.”

She challenged attendees to recognize the influence they already have in their chapters, professions, families, and communities, reminding them that leadership is rooted in service and in using one’s voice to create opportunities and uplift others.

She reminded her Sisters that leadership is not measured by personal achievement alone. “Leadership is not about being the only one who succeeds,” Cassie said. “Leadership is about helping others succeed, too.”

LIFTING OTHERS ALONG THE WAY Cassie concluded by encouraging attendees to carry the values of Alpha Sigma Tau beyond Convention and into every aspect of their lives. She challenged Sisters to “lead with intention,” reminding them to “choose purpose. Choose compassion. Choose growth.” She also encouraged members to stay rooted in the Sorority’s values and remain “fiercely committed to one another,” recognizing that sisterhood extends far beyond the collegiate experience.

She also encouraged every Sister to embrace her own story, reminding attendees that authenticity is one of the greatest gifts they can offer themselves and others. “Own your story.

Every chapter of it,” she encouraged. “Your story is not your weakness. It is your strength.”

As she brought her keynote to a close, Cassie left Sisters with a message that reflected both her journey and the enduring mission of Alpha Sigma Tau by saying,

“The most powerful thing you can be is fully, authentically, unapologetically yourself.”

She concluded with a heartfelt hope for every Sister in the room: “May we continue to empower, uplift, and inspire one another, not just today, not just while we wear our letters, but for a lifetime.”

WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON: UNDERSTANDING THE NEXT GENERATION OF SORORITY WOMEN

On Friday afternoon, Sisters gathered at the Women’s Leadership Luncheon to hear Heather Matthews present industry-wide research about what today’s high school women actually think when it comes to sororities and recruitment.

Heather is a strategic communications leader who is passionate about leveraging research and storytelling to demonstrate the value, relevance, and opportunities sororities provide. She serves as a founding member of the interfraternal Amplifying Sorority campaign research committee, helping shape industry-wide messaging and insights.

Launched in 2022 by the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, the Amplifying Sorority campaign focuses on recruitment and retention research among Gen Z women. Alongside 24 other National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) member organizations signing on as donors and partners, both the Sorority and Foundation saw this campaign as an opportunity to invest in our future.

During Heather’s presentation, Sisters learned about the four Gen Z personas identified by the Amplifying Sorority research: Memory Makers, Identity Explorers, Comfort Seekers, and Focused Achievers. She discussed their different perceptions of sorority life, their interest level in joining an NPC organization, and the types of college experiences they seek out.

Then, Heather tasked members with partnering up and identifying their own personas. Members began their discussion, with many overheard saying the personas were “spot on” and that they could see members of their chapter fitting into the various descriptions.

In the latter half of the presentation, Heather highlighted the impact social media has on the growth and retention of our collegiate chapters. She took the time to review examples of chapter Instagram accounts and discussed how the content communicates different membership experiences to potential new members (PNMs) and the campus community.

She stressed trying to reach each persona through social media, such as highlighting the support system gained for S UM M E R 2026 • T H E ANCHOR

Comfort Seekers or featuring experiences not available in other organizations for Memory Makers.

Throughout the presentation, the room was filled with intrigue, excitement, and renewed motivation. Members took detailed notes and engaged through thoughtful questions and reflective dialogue. Some officers were already brainstorming new changes they hoped to implement in their chapters!

Sisters left the session sharing how this information changed their view of their Sorority experience and what they need to do to strengthen their chapter’s ability to recruit, support, and retain members in the coming years. This program was made possible by Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation donors; thank you!

As we gathered in Minneapolis, every Convention attendee got to stop and celebrate the impact of Alpha Sigma Tau in her life, and marvel that everyone else in the room shared that connection.

Through our initiation vows, every AΣΤ has committed to every Sister and to the success of the Sorority for life. When you’re committed to someone, you help them when it’s easy and when it’s hard, and they help you, whether you feel like you deserve it or not.

This commitment to one another is our “faithfulness to these ideals.” We are committed to one another through our efforts, attention, strengths, expertise, and donations.

At Convention, the National Foundation was thrilled to celebrate the faithfulness of our donors – collegiate donors in the 1899 Society; recurring donors in the Friendship & Fidelity Giving Circle; donors who have established a planned gift in the Legacy Society; and our key supporters in the Anchor Society, who give $1,899 or more unrestricted in a calendar year.

We also got to celebrate the impact of this generosity! Our collegiate Sisters shared the experiences they’ve gained in their chapters as they navigate the triumphs and challenges of working towards a common goal as part of a team. We surprised 10 Convention attendees with the news that they had been selected for a scholarship, as part of the 50 awards totaling over $80,000 given this year.

The most exciting news is that we marked a milestone for the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation. Over the past two years, our donors have exceeded the target for the Giving Our All campaign, giving just over $1.3 million for the Sorority’s needs of today and dreams of the future. There is still “time on the clock,” and we are now aiming for a Giving Our All goal of $1.75 million by the end of 2026.

I want to invite each of you to consider how you can help us reach this new milestone. Maybe it’s another gift before the end of the year, committing to a recurring donation, putting your estate plans in writing and including the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation, hosting a Founders Day of Giving challenge with an advanced gift, or simply encouraging the other Sisters in your life to do these things alongside you. INTRODUCING THE JAMIE JONES MILLER LEADERSHIP FUND

This year, Jamie Jones Miller (Psi 1995/James Madison) completed her term as the 15th National President, a pinnacle of 25+ years of impactful volunteer service with both the Sorority and the Foundation.

Jamie and her husband, Dr. Tim Miller, have been trailblazing donors, encouraging the Foundation’s biggest endeavors and leading the way for other Sisters, family, and friends to participate.

At Convention, the Foundation was excited to announce the renaming of our leadership fund to the Jamie Jones Miller Leadership Fund. In the months leading up to Convention and since, more than $33,000 in gifts have been made to honor Jamie’s legacy.

GIVING OUR ALL: ENDING 2026 STRONG Over the past two years, Foundation donors have exceeded the original target for the Giving Our All campaign, giving just over $1.3 million for the Sorority’s needs of today and dreams of the future.

However, there is still “time on the clock” for 2026, and we’re ambitiously announcing a new goal to further support our Sisterhood!

Yellow Rose Banquet Our Yellow Rose Banquet celebrates the best parts of our Sisterhood! Sisters gather to enjoy a meal, celebrate award winners, induct our incoming National Council, and take part in our traditional Candlelighting Service. In addition to our usual recognition for outgoing National Council officers, this year’s Yellow Rose Banquet ended with a celebratory “clap-out” in honor of National President Jamie Jones Miller’s retirement. Eternal Chapter

A MOMENT TO REMEMBER During Convention, we gather to honor Sisters whose passing has been reported to Headquarters in the last two years. This year, the Memorial Service was presented in memory of members whose deaths were reported between May 2024 and May 2026.

Led by Jenni Kemmery (Delta 1995/IUP), this year’s service was dedicated to more than 100 Sisters from 41 chapters.

We also took a moment of silence to honor two special Sisters who worked endlessly to support the Sorority: longtime Sorority and Foundation volunteer, Charlotte Evans Floyd (Psi 1947/James Madison), and a former Chair of the National Panhellenic Conference, Cynthia Peckhart McCrory (Alpha Alpha 1962/Ball State).

During the service, an appointed representative from each chapter lit a candle in honor of the deceased chapter Sisters. In this way, Convention attendees can see how Sisters’ eternal light, influence, and legacy still affect us today and encourage Sisters to keep those memories alive.

We offer heartfelt condolences to the members who lost Sisters, friends, mentors, and more from 2024 to 2026.

As a dedicated volunteer, Cynthia spent many years supporting and representing Alpha Sigma Tau on both the local and National levels. Her most prominent volunteer role came from 1983 to 1985, when she served as Chair of the National Panhellenic Conference—the first and only Alpha Sigma Tau to have done so.

Cynthia’s leadership and dedication were recognized with several Convention awards, and she is one of only 17 members named as a Sustainer of the Sorority in 2000. In 1998, Alpha Sigma Tau named a Convention award that celebrates individuals achieving interfraternal excellence in her honor.

Her Panhellenic experience began in college and blossomed after graduation. In 1967, she became the President of the Fort Wayne Alumnae Panhellenic and served in the role for 10 years. Starting in 1977, she then represented Alpha Sigma Tau as the NPC delegate or alternate delegate for the next 25 years.

Before her passing, she remained an engaged member of the Panhellenic community and Alpha Sigma Tau alumnae chapters. She is survived by her son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sister. Cynthia’s dedication to Alpha Sigma Tau and her delight in preserving the Panhellenic experience will be missed by many within our Sorority and the larger fraternal world.
