A Message from our International President

It’s an honor to welcome you to the 34th International Convention of Alpha Delta Kappa in Austin, Texas a city renowned for its vibrant culture, live music, and signature southern hospitality.

Whether you’re here to build meaningful connections, grow professionally, or simply savor some legendary BBQ, I hope this convention leaves you inspired and enriched.

Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned participant, I encourage you to reach out, connect, and help someone feel welcome as we come together to celebrate the spirit and strength of our incredible organization.

Thank you for being here and embracing the power of connection in our sisterhood as we “Bridge totheFuture!”

2025 International Convention Altruistic Project

Having been raised alongside two brothers from the foster care program, I have a deep and personal understanding of the unique challenges faced by children in the system. I've chosen CASA of Travis County as the 2025 International Altruistic Project. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) empowers dedicated volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. By supporting CASA, we help ensure that every child in the foster care system has a voice and a chance at a brighter future.

Mission: CASA of Travis County promotes and protects the best interest of children who have experienced abuse or neglect by empowering volunteers to advocate for their safety, well-being, and for opportunities to thrive.

Overview: CASA of Travis County believes every child who has experienced abuse or neglect deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school, and in our community. To accomplish this, CASA educates and empowers community volunteers who ensure each child's needs remain a priority in an overburdened child welfare system. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety, a judge appoints a trained volunteer advocate to make independent and informed recommendations and help the judge decide what's best for the child.
