MEET SOME OF OUR TRADERS AND MENTORS Adam Haeems | Chief Executive Officer

Adam has a Master of Finance (MFin) from Cambridge University (Judge Business School) and is an experienced institutional futures trader. Adam has traded fixed income futures for Bank of America Merrill Lynch before becoming a cross-asset futures trader for a $1bn global macro hedge fund (Quality Capital Management). Adam is an experienced cryptocurrecy trader having recently managed a $20m cryptocurrency portfolio for BABB Group ltd.

Gavin Pannu | Head of Trading Academy Gavin is an experienced prop trader, Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) and Member of the Society of Technical Analysts (IFTA). He has three years’ experience as a Senior Market Analyst at the London Academy of Trading (LAT) and 5 years’ trading experience of a self-directed fund after completing the ABE accredited Level 5 Diploma in Applied Financial Trading. Gavin is an experienced trading mentor and lecturer having taught over 1000 traders and has experience creating leading training programmes.

Ron William | Trading Psychologist

Ron is a behavioural finance expert, trading psychologist & performance coach at IntensiChi, using latest techniques in behavioural-risk models, peak-performance, neuroscience and stress response management (SRM), including mindfulness & coherence training.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The Summer Trading Camp is an immersive and structured four-week programme which gives a unique opportunity for university students to develop in-depth knowledge and experience in a proprietary trading firm. Its content provides a strong educational base in financial markets while gaining practical experience trading on an active trading floor under the supervision of senior traders.

WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE? You will develop 200 hours on a trading floor amongst our experienced Prop Traders. All summer interns will have access to our online ‘Learn to Trade’ course and Alphachain primer manuals to develop foundational financial markets knowledge. You will be allocated your own trading terminal on our trading floor and manage a demo trading book like one of our prop traders. Traders explore new opportunities, analyse their risks and rewards and collaborate with each other to form trading strategies. There will be regular trading competitions, the top achieving student will receive the Trader Camp Champion Trophy. Exceptional students who perform consistently well during the camp period may be offered a Prop Trading role upon completion of their degree. This gives an opportunity for promising and motivated students to begin a successful career as a Prop Trader with Alphachain Capital.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Work independently and in a small team with a more senior trader providing guidance and extensive experience in the markets.

Understand how the different markets operate by rotating around various trading desks and provided a basket of assets to trade.

Your main responsibility will be to learn how to trade through a mixture of on-thejob training and practical development, mock trading book and trader competitions.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

The programme is designed to fast-track your trading career while obtaining a recognised CPD (Continuing Professional Development) qualification. The CPD trading qualification helps students leverage this training experience to obtain further career opportunities in the city, in recognition of your immersive theoretical and practical learning during the course.

WHAT EXACTLY IS CPD? So, what is CPD? CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. It enables learning to become conscious and proactive, rather than passive and reactive.

CPD combines different methodologies to learning, such as training workshops, conferences and events, e-learning programs, best practice techniques and ideas sharing, all focused for an individual to improve and have effective professional development.

There are over 1000 institutes & professional bodies across the UK, a number that is forecast to increase.

WEEK 1: THEORY & PRACTICAL LEARNING On the first day students will be allocated a trading terminal and have access to our online ‘Learn to Trade’ course and supplementary documentation.

The content will cover cryptocurrency markets, basic trading concepts, risk management and introduces fundamental and technical analysis in trading.

You will analyse the top cryptocurrencies by marketcap, introducing how altcoins and stable coins are used, while also learning how to buy, send, store and trade cryptocurrency securely on the blockchain You’ll learn how to

identify common technical patterns and how they can be used to create short and mediumterm trading strategies in FX and cryptocurrencies.

You will open your demo broker account and place your first trade this week applying some of the prior learning in financial markets. You will have to quickly learn to navigate the brokerage and trading platform.

By the end of the week you will have completed the Learn To Trade course and have developed all the foundational knowledge to begin developing trading strategies.

WEEK 2: STRATEGY PLANNING & TESTING During this week you will look to gain as much exposure by trading your strategies and doing back-tests to build statistical research on how well your strategy has worked in previous market conditions.

This is an important period where you can learn to improve your trading and risk management techniques while learning more about your psychological approach to trading.

We will carry out a trading comp assessment which will be based on how you perform as an individual as well as how you manage yourself in a team environment.

Finally, you will create a trading plan and have it reviewed by our senior trader mentors.

WEEK 3 & 4: FURTHER TESTING & ASSESSMENT PERIOD Here you will be trading like one of our prop traders on your demo account putting into practice everything that was taught the previous weeks.

You will follow your trading plan and maintain good risk management and psychology in the markets. At the end of each week you will have a performance appraisal with a senior trader mentor.

Following successful completion of the assessment period where you submit your statistics, your performance must show consistent profits with good risk management to receive capital to trade at Alphachain Capital as a Junior Trader postgraduation. Traders who do not finish in profit can still benefit from the invaluable trading floor experience they have gained.

They can continue trading as an independent trader at university, or leverage the experience in the industry into a new trading role having earned a recognised CPD certification in Technical Analysis. In addition, a senior trader mentor will provide guidance to improve your trading and further your trading career.

MARKETS TRADED Traders on the Junior Trader programme gain exposure to a range of major FX markets and crosses on the trading floor.

Under the guidance of your mentor you will begin to analyse various charts looking to identify patterns and trading opportunities with the goal of placing profitable trades which are aligned with the parameters set out in your bespoke trade plan.
