As our largest and most versatile space, the Leonard Bernstein (LB) Room is a favorite for movement practices, workshops, large gatherings, and much more. Large sliding doors open to a spacious balcony, inviting natural light and fresh air while offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This indoor-outdoor connection enhances the room’s open, airy atmosphere. The LB Room is equipped with a large projector screen, powerful amplifier speakers, and a portable TV to support a wide range of audio/visual needs. A variety of setup options are available, including chairs and tables and comfort-focused seating such as zafus, zabutons, and backjacks. Before entering the LB Room, guests pass through a mudroom that offers convenient storage for personal belongings.

LIVING
Room Main Building: Upper Level 747 sq ft.
As our second-largest space, the Living Room provides an open yet intimate environment. Despite its cozy feel, the space remains highly versatile and can be adapted to suit a wide variety of event styles and needs. Similar to the LB Room, the Living Room can be arranged with chairs and tables or transformed into a more grounded, relaxed setting using meditation pillows, floor cushions, and floor chairs. The room is filled with natural light and offers a seamless connection to the outdoors, where additional seating is available on a private patio. It comes equipped with surround sound speakers and a portable TV to support your audio/ visual needs. To preserve the integrity of the traditional mud flooring, we kindly ask that all guests remove their shoes upon entering. A mudroom at the entrance provides convenient storage for personal items.

GEIST
Room Main Building: Upper Level 491 sq ft.
This mid-sized room offers a warm, modern atmosphere with large sliding doors that allow for an open ambiance. Comfortable modular sofas surround a central coffee table, making it well-suited for group conversations, small meetings, or casual social gatherings. While the furniture in this room is more stationary, it can still be rearranged in various ways to support the needs of your gathering. A fixed grand piano makes the space ideal for musical or cultural events. The Geist Room is equipped with a surround sound speaker system and a wall-mounted screen for your audio/ visual needs.

MEDITATION
Chapel Main Building: Upper Level 538 sq ft.
The Meditation Chapel is a quiet, circular space designed to support reflection, stillness, and presence. With its curved walls and soft acoustics, it offers a calm and focused environment ideal for meditation sessions, silent retreats, healing circles, or small group gatherings. The room comes equipped with floor seating, including meditation pillows, floor cushions, and floor chairs. At the center is a low table, often used for shared focal points. Acoustic panels around the room enhance the sound quality, helping to maintain a quiet and resonant space. To preserve the integrity of the traditional mud flooring, we kindly ask that all guests remove their shoes upon entering. There are no outside chairs and tables permitted in this space, and there are no audio/visual features.

SETON
Gallery & Boardroom Main Building: Lower Level Seton Gallery: 670 sq ft. Seton Boardroom: 392 sq ft.
In 2004, the Academy had the opportunity to acquire the remaining land once owned by Ernest Thompson Seton. Honoring the commitment to preserve his legacy, the Seton Gallery & Boardroom now houses a curated collection of Seton’s personal writings, artwork, and historical artifacts. The Seton Boardroom features a large oval table and comfortable office chairs, making it ideal for board meetings, group discussions, and small gatherings. The room is equipped with a surround sound speaker system and a wall-mounted screen to support your audio/visual needs. Adjacent to the Boardroom, the Seton Gallery showcases a rotating exhibition of Seton’s personal artwork. With its open layout, three modular sofas, and a central coffee table, the space is easily customizable for a wide range of events. Though distinct in design and purpose, the Seton Gallery and Boardroom are available exclusively as a combined rental.

KITCHEN
& Dining Room Main Building: Upper Level Dining Room: 547 sq ft. Our spacious Kitchen features a central island with a built-in stove and barstool seating, creating an ideal space for food prep and conversation. It’s fully equipped with two ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks, a full-size refrigerator, a mini fridge, a coffee machine, and hot water dispensers for tea. All cabinets and drawers are labeled for easy access, and a walkin pantry holds a wide variety of extra dishes and supplies. To support your catering needs, we provide a full range of tableware—plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, serving dishes, utensils—and linens for the Dining Room tables. The adjacent Dining Room includes a countertop perfect for buffet-style serving or a beverage station. Three extendable oval tables seat up to 34 guests comfortably. Additional outdoor seating is available in the central courtyard, on the patio beside the Dining Room, and in various spots around the Main Building. ART
Studio Separate Building 494 sq ft.
The Art Studio is a bright, versatile space designed to inspire creativity and support hands-on making. Surrounded by windows and sliding glass doors, the room is filled with natural light and offers a strong indoor-outdoor connection to the surrounding landscape. Inside, you’ll find multiple movable tables and chairs that can be reconfigured to suit any kind of artistic gathering, from individual exploration to group workshops. The space is well-equipped for mixed-media projects with two sinks, a full bathroom, and a large shelving unit stocked with a wide variety of art supplies. A portable TV can be available in the Art Studio for your audio/visual needs.

NORTH & MIDDLE
Casitas Separate Building North Casita: 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 Middle Casita: 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4
Our Casitas offer a peaceful, private retreat for event participants. Each common area is bright and inviting, featuring a front facing glass wall that provides tranquil views of the surrounding landscape. The kitchenettes are equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee press, hot water kettle, toaster, and dishes, ideal for light meal prep. Each casita is furnished with two twin beds per bedroom. The bathrooms are fully stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and a blow dryer for added convenience. Each casita comes with a Guest Information Handbook, where it provides all helpful and necessary information for a more comfortable stay. Additionally, the North Casita offers access to a rooftop deck, where guests can enjoy even more breathtaking views of the landscape and take in stunning sunsets.

SETON
Castle Outdoors The area surrounding the Academy for the Love of Learning has a long cultural history. In the early 1930s, the Setons chose a 2,500-acre parcel of land for Seton Village, beginning construction on the first house around a planned central plaza below the Castle site, along with a road connecting it to the Old Las Vegas Highway. Construction of the Seton Castle began shortly thereafter, continuing through April 1934. During this time, additional buildings were developed in Seton Village to accommodate staff and visitors to Seton’s Woodcraft training program, The College of Indian Wisdom, which later became known as The Seton Institute. After the Academy acquired both the remaining land and the Seton Castle in 2004, efforts began to restore the deteriorating structure to its original condition. However, on November 15, 2005, a fire of undetermined cause severely damaged the Castle, halting these restoration efforts. In an act of resilience, the Academy envisioned transforming the Castle’s remains into a contemplative site and historical landmark. The Seton archives and collections were relocated to the Seton Gallery & Boardroom in the Main Building, and stabilization efforts were completed in 2012. The Seton Castle is currently open to public visitors and is part of our rental offerings, having hosted a variety of events and performances. Location
■ Full-day rentals are up to 10 hours, and half-day rentals are up to 5 hours (including setup and breakdown). Regular hours are 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Access outside these hours incurs an additional half-day fee. ■ Renters may book individual rooms, combine multiple rooms (e.g., Geist + Kitchen/Dining Room), or rent the entire main building or upper level. ■ The Kitchen is equipped with tableware and linens for the Dining Room tables. ■ All rentals include access to bathrooms, entryway, and outdoor spaces. ■ Staff lounge, private offices, storage, and maintenance areas are not included in any rental. ■ An Academy staff member must be present at all times during Main Building rentals.

■ Renting organizations are responsible for event staffing, including greeters, catering coordination, and food service. ■ Liability insurance naming the Academy as an additional insured is required.

All bedrooms are furnished with two twin beds. ■ The listed base rate covers one guest for a one-night stay. Additional charges apply as follows: • North Casita: $60 per additional guest, per night • Middle Casita: $60 per additional guest, per night ■ Please note: No cleaning services will be provided during your stay. If you would like a cleaning and linen refresh during your visit, it must be requested in advance and will incur an additional charge equal to the base rate.

Lease Agreements Every Renter/Lessee must sign a written lease agreement for the event or other use. This policy applies even if the lease is rent-free. The lease agreement shall be substantially in the form attached to these policies. The Lessee agrees to sign and return the lease agreement no later than fourteen days before the scheduled event. The Lessee acknowledges and understands that the rental agreement is not considered final, and the space is not reserved until the Academy has received both the signed lease agreement and the required deposit.
Rental Deposit/Weather Cancelation Lessees must pay a rental/cleaning deposit upon signing the lease agreement. If the Lessee cancels the rental less than five days prior to the start of the lease, for any or no reason, and even if rescheduling the lease (subject to the weatherrelated provisions next), the Academy may keep the deposit to cover its costs of administration. That said, in the event of a last-minute weather-related cancelation, if the Lessee is able to reschedule the event to occur within one month of the cancelation, the deposit will be transferred to the rescheduled event and applied accordingly. If the event is not rescheduled to occur within one month, the Academy shall be entitled to retain up to the entire deposit. The Lessee understands that this deposit is separate from the rent and is not part of the total amount due for the rental. Lessees promise to return the leased premises to the Academy in a condition of cleanliness comparable to its initial state at the start of the lease term. In the event of non-compliance with this commitment, the Academy may withhold the deposit. Conversely, upon fulfillment of this agreement, the Academy will refund the deposit to the Lessee. This will be documented in all written lease agreements.

FACILITY RENTAL policies Insurance Most organizations carry general liability insurance to cover their activities. When these activities occur on the Academy’s campus, we require that all renting organizations submit a Certificate of Insurance. This certificate must verify adequate general liability coverage and name the Academy for the Love of Learning, Inc. as an additional insured for the duration of the event or use. This requirement will be documented in all written lease agreements. If you’re unsure whether your organization has liability insurance, please contact your insurer or Finance Administrator for further assistance.
Alcohol and Drugs Lessees and their guests may not bring, serve, or otherwise use alcoholic beverages, recreational or medical marijuana, or illegal drugs on Academy property. This restriction will be documented in all written lease agreements.
Kitchen Use and Food The kitchen is not a commercial kitchen and cannot be used by the Lessees for the preparation of food for consumption by the general public, unless by a licensed caterer. Lessees who plan to do so must arrange and pay for a licensed caterer to handle food preparations. Otherwise, Lessees who are holding private events may be permitted to use the Academy’s kitchen to store and prepare food that will be served only to members of the private group, its staff, or other members. This option is not available to organizations who are hosting events with public registrations or invitees. Lessees use of the kitchen will be documented in all written lease agreements. Anyone using the Academy’s kitchen must have an orientation session with a member of the Academy’s staff prior to use.

Smoking and Fragrance-Free Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside Academy buildings but are allowed on Academy property outdoors at a distance of at least 20 feet from the building. The Academy is a fragrance-free environment, so perfumes, colognes, and other personal products with chemical fragrances are prohibited on Academy property. These prohibitions will be documented in all written lease agreements.
Animals Lessees and their guests may not bring animals onto Academy property. Exceptions will be made only for trained service animals as required for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Academy may not charge a fee or deposit for a service animal up front. The Academy may require removal of a service animal if it is not housebroken or if it is out of control and the owner cannot bring it under control. If a service animal damages Academy property, the Academy may hold the owner responsible for the damage. These provisions will be documented in all written lease agreements.
Cameras Lessees and their guests may bring cameras and take photographs of the event and Academy property. The use of drone cameras is not permitted, out of respect for Seton Village neighbors and their privacy.
Outdoor Space All rentals include use of outdoor space. Requests to use only outdoor space on campus, with no building use, may be considered as “facility rentals.” Lessees, whether indoor or only outdoor, will be responsible for cleaning the outdoor space used, complying with the “pack it in; pack it out” principle. FACILITY RENTAL policies Safe and Inclusive Space At the Academy for the Love of Learning, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment of respect, safety, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity for all who visit our campus—including our staff, faculty, contractors, and other members of our community. To uphold these values, the Academy reserves the right to remove any individual from our facilities whose behavior compromises the respect, safety and inclusion of our staff, faculty, contractors, or community. Lessee understands and agrees that the decision to remove an individual from our facilities for such behavior is within the Academy’s sole discretion. The Academy is not responsible for any financial losses related to an individual’s removal, whether the loss is for the Lessee, the individual, or other attendees. Any financial losses related to an individual’s removal are the sole responsibility of the removed individual, the Lessee, and its attendees. Lessee understands and agrees that any issues of this kind that are strictly between Lessee’s attendees are Lessee’s responsibility to handle. The Academy is not responsible for monitoring the behavior of attendees. This policy will be documented in all written lease agreements.
Academy Private Areas and Accessibility Lessee understands and agrees that the staff lounge, private offices, storage rooms, and maintenance areas are not included in the rental and are always off-limits. Only the external event organizer and their staff may enter the staff lounge to request assistance from Academy personnel. Access to the Academy’s entire facility, including the Leased Premises, is limited to the event participants, facilitators, staff, and attendees. Individuals not directly associated with the event are not permitted on the premises during the rental period outside of drop-off, pick-up, and public performances with invitation. This policy will be documented in all written lease agreements.

Illness Prevention and Health Guidelines The health and safety of our community is our top priority. To help prevent the spread of illness, we ask that anyone feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms stay home and avoid coming to the facility. If you know that you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or any other contagious viruses, we strongly encourage you to get tested before visiting or refrain from coming to the facility. To support a healthy environment, we provide face masks, hand sanitizer, and COVID-19 test kits. Please feel free to use these resources to help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping our community safe.
Accessibility Our main facility is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), providing accessible entrances, restrooms, and pathways to ensure an inclusive and accommodating environment for all individuals.
