Dear Year 6, As you leave us to begin the next exciting chapter of your journey, I want to take a moment to celebrate each and every one of you. Over the years, we have watched you grow in character, kindness, and courage. You are ready to take on new challenges, make new friends, and shine in ways only you can. Remember that mistakes are just stepping stones, curiosity is your greatest tool, and kindness will always set you apart. Go forward with confidence, resilience, and pride. And just like that, you’re ready to leave us! You’re heading off to secondary school with bigger bags, bigger ambitions and, in some cases, considerably bigger shoes! It has been such a privilege to watch you grow, learn, laugh and occasionally test my patience! I’ll remember the funny moments, the ridiculous conversations, the friendship dramas, the brilliant ideas and all those little moments that made our classroom what it was. As you start your next adventure, be brave enough to try new things, kind enough to look out for others and confident enough to be yourself. Secondary school might seem like a big deal now, but you’ll soon find your feet and probably discover that getting lost in the corridors is practically a rite of passage. I’m incredibly proud of every one of you. Go and make the most of what comes next, make some brilliant memories and, please, try to remember where you’ve put your PE kit! Good luck, Year 6. You’ll be missed more than you realise.
