YEAR IN REVIEW YOUR IMPACT IN 2018

Anyone who has lived in or visited Bozeman over the past 5 years knows that smart growth is a common concern among all of us. How do we keep growing and still keep our sense of community? How do we keep Bozeman one of the most “livable communities? How do we keep our arms around our most vulnerable neighbors? How do we keep this community thriving? As we all look to the future, we have to ask ourselves how we plan on preserving this beautiful community that we all share. Investing in our kids and families lays the foundation for a healthy community. When kids have committed adults investing in their future and parents who are educated, supported and mentored, we all benefit. By investing in our youngest parents and our most vulnerable infants giving them access to improved education, housing, employment, mental health resources, and high quality child care, we are helping them raise children who are developmentally, socially, and emotionally ready to enter kindergarten. We are intentionally growing the next generation of community leaders. We are building our own future when we invest in leadership programming for girls and social and emotional coaching for boys. We are growing high school graduates who are ready to enter the world as healthy, productive adults, when we invest in mentoring and parent engagement. Smart growth is more than where we plop the next high-density subdivision. Smart growth is talking about how will we grow and build our children and families so they will continue to be connected to each other, their schools, and contribute to this thriving community. Thank you for believing in local kids and investing in their futures.
