Evan joined Thrive for Circle of Security (COS) classes 3 years ago when he was getting full custody of his two young daughters. COS is a curriculum designed to enhance attachment security between parents and their children. Evan reports the information gained in these classes has helped him better understand his daughters’ behaviors and how to respond in a positive way.
Evan also started attending Thriving Dads events with his two daughters including our most recent ice skating event. He knows where to go when he needs parenting support and he is thankful for the opportunity to have time with other dads in his community.

Shortly after giving birth, Delaney (age 16) ended up in the hospital after a suicide attempt. The hospital connected Delaney, her 18 year old boyfriend Kade and their 2 month old daughter to Thrive. The new parents were under a great deal of stress and needed help getting stabilized. Their Thrive Family Support Worker met with them intensively to help them identify stressors and connect them to mental health and educational resources. After a year of hard work, Kade finished high school, and Delaney is on track to finish with her peers. They have identified and completed goals around parenting, mental health, education and self care. Their daughter will turn one soon and the whole family is thriving.
