And Jeremy Renner Recalls Details Of Snow Plow Accident
During an interview with ABC, Jeremy Renner described the excruciating pain and his memories ofthe incident. Inthesameinterview, ABCplayed the911 call madethemorning of the accident. In the audio clip, Renner’s neighbor, Rich Kovach, can be heard saying that Renner had been crushed and begging for immediateassistance.Kovach described Renner as being covered in blood and having a skull that looked like it was “cracked wide open.” In the interview, Renner recalls the pain and the feeling of being on asphalt and ice.

Renner also remembers seeing stars and his eye being pushed out. Emergency responders took 20 minutes to reach Renner, who had more than 30 broken bones throughout his body. Renner communicated with them when his family arrived through sign language and conveyed his regret and sorrow, saying “I’m sorry.”
Renner stayed positive despite his injuries, crediting his family for helping him recover. In the interview, he was seen using a walker and wheelchair to get around. He wouldn’t let the accident haunt him; instead, he focused on the strength he gained from it. He didn’t want to be seen as a victim and refused to let it be a negative experience.
How Is Jeremy Renner Doing: Leaning On His Family For Support
Renner chatted with Diane Sawyer about his recovery and how his family’s been there for him all the way. He’s gone through some intense surgeries, like having his rib cage rebuilt with metal, getting metal plates put in his eye socket, and having rubber bands and screws inserted into his jaw.
While he recovered, Renner’s family stayed by his side, and the actor said their support was invaluable.
Despite dealing with immense pain and difficulty sleeping, Renner remained committed to his recovery, earning “wonderful little victories” along the way. He hopes to regain sensitivity in parts of his body that he’s lost and is relearning how to speak after breaking his jaw.
Renner credited his family and his “Avengers” peeps with helping him through the recovery process. He also received support from his chiropractic sports physician, who described him as “motivated to heal.” Renner said he has no ego about a stuntman taking over his stunts in future projects.
