EDITION OF JANUARY 4: Community volunteers
served more than 850 people at the 36th Annual Friends of Christmas Community Dinner on Saturday, December 23, presented by Saturday’s Bread. The event featured a gift card donation drive for families impacted by the December 9 explosion on Richards Avenue. Community members raised $6,750.00 for these families, including $3,000.00 in donations from the 6th Ward Athletic Club.

Series Board President Arthur Weinstock presents a check for $1,300.00 to Will Kleffner, executive director of the Cooperstown Food Pantry. Cooperstown Concert Series made donations to two area food banks in memory of Bruce Andrews, a long-time supporter of the organization. Officials donated the entire $2,600.00 raised from ticket sales to the “Caravan of Love Concert” held November 27 in memory of Andrews, divided equally between the CFP and the Schuyler Lake Food Cupboard.
