Cooperstown Bat Buys Out Rival Florczak COOPERSTOWN

he Cooperstown Bat Company has acquired “Where It All Began” from longtime downtown merchant Jim Florczak, effective May 10. Tim and Connie Haney, Cooperstown Bat’s owners, said the acquisition give them entre into the Rawlings line. They intend to expand the establishment into a fullservice sporting goods store. Concerned about the number of downtown stores that close in the winter, Tim Haney said, “We’ll be trying to move into a year-’round business.
