he theme of this year’s Town of Springfield Fourth of July Parade & Celebration is “Of the People, By the People, For the People,” to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg, the committee announced. The parade, Otsego County’s largest and one of the longest running in the U.S., will step off at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Fourth, in Springfield Center. Activities follow at the Community Center.
