Joe Hughes Honored As Top Alumnus

HS Athletic Director Joe Hughes, ’76, will be honored as Alumni of the Year during the annual OHS Alumni Wall of Fame Induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 30. n her early days working with the medical brigades in the remote mountains of Honduras, Dr. Maria Cerna saw firsthand just how important her job was. “One patient came to us Dr. Cerna and no one knew what she had,” said Cerna, who started at Bassett Hospital’s Primary Care Clinic this week. “She had trouble walking, swallowing, she was stiff, and it turned out she had scleroderma.
